Race Reports

 

Race 1 – ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND MAIDEN (1) – 395M

 

Shortly after the start, LAURASH ACTION and SENOR DYLAN collide.  Shortly after, LAUGHING GEAR checked across heels and lost ground.  Through the 1st turn, DANILO and TOOK A TICKET collide, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground.  Entering the back straight, LAUGHING GEAR shifted out, which checked the running of SENOR DYLAN. 

 

Race 2 – ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB MAIDEN (2) – 395M

 

Through the 1st turn, WAZZA SAID was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  PAY TODAY raced wide round the turn out of the back straight.

 

The greyhound PAY TODAY underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the back and was stood down for a period of 10 days

 

 

Race 3 – EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS MAIDEN FINAL – 395M

 

EMMAVILLE BELLA was declared a late scratching at 4:22pm when upon a pre-race inspection it was found that the incorrect greyhound was presented at today’s meeting to race. At a subsequent inquiry, the kennel representative Mr Denis Robinson pleaded guilty to a charge under GAR 31(2) for presenting the incorrect greyhound to race and was fined a monetary penalty of $200.

 

BONNIE EILEEN was slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn, HOPE SAID and EMMA SAID collide, EMMA SAID was checked as a result of this incident and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight, BONNIE EILEEN was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. 

 

Race 4 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD NOVICE – 395M

 

SHIELD ME was marginally slow to begin.  Leaving the 1st turn, EL ROMANO, WHO’S HOPE, FARMOR INFERNO and FARMOR SHADY were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  CYNDIE SAID, which was trailing, was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Entering the back straight, EL ROMANO shifted out, which checked the running of WHO’S HOPE and FARMOR SHADY.  Approaching the turn into the front straight, FARMOR SHADY and CYNDIE SAID both checked off heels and lost ground. 

 

The greyhound EL ROMANO underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 5 – GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5TH GRADE (1) – 395M

 

Through the 1st turn, LIKA VAUTIN was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the back straight, BIG BIRD was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  LIKA VAUTIN, which was trailing, was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, SMASHNIAK WINX was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  FARMOR IMAGE, which was trailing, was checked as a consequence and lost ground. 

 

The greyhound LIKA VAUTIN underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 6 – THE MANLY HOTEL MIXED 3/4TH GRADE - 395M

 

CIANNA’A ANGEL was slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn, RAMBLIN’ ROSE and BIG TRIGGER were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  BRAVO ROSE, which was trailing, was checked as a consequence and lost ground. 

 

Race 7 – BOX1PHOTOGRAPHY.COM 5TH GRADE FINAL – 395M

 

BILLY WHO was slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn, BILLY WHO and LET’S GO FABIO tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  NAN’S MAGIC commenced to give ground in the back straight, to eventually retire from the race.  Entering the front straight, BILLY WHO and TEJAY’S MAGIC collide.

 

The greyhound NAN’S MAGIC underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 21 days.

 

Race 8 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM BEST 8 – 395M

 

Through the 1st turn, NOOREE DESSA, COSMO BILL and KULU ZIPSTER were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  POPPY’S ROSE, which was trailing, was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Entering the back straight, COSMO BILL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. 

 

The greyhound SHILOH RANCH underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 9 – FABERGAS @ STUD 5TH GRADE – 520M

 

Shortly after the start, KULU TURKEY, STEAL A KISS and KNOCK ME OVER all raced tight.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight, POWDER and STEAL A KISS bump.  Entering the back straight, KNOCK ME OVER improved onto the heels of KULU TURKEY.  In the front straight, KULU TURKEY and KNOCK ME OVER collide.

 

Race 10 – UBET TAPPY 5TH GRADE (2) – 395M

 

Through the 1st turn, ALLEN KELVIN, RAPID MAIL, MAMMA’S BOY and UNIQUE SPIRIT were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

 

The greyhound MAMMA’S BOY underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound RAPID MAIL underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
