Supplementary Report – Albion Park Thursday 11 April 2024

Stewards concluded an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the conduct of licensed trainer Mr Sergio Livotto on Thursday 11 April 2024 at the Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club. Mr Livotto was found guilty under Gar 156(f)(ii) improper conduct and was fined $500 with stewards electing to wholly suspend the sum for a period of 12 months acting under Gar 174(3) conditional upon no similar breach of the Greyhound Australasia Rules.

Race 1 - ALBERT HEWTON NOVICE 520m

 

3. Destini Lucetta – In the home straight clipped heels and fell. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

8. Loud Louie – Blundered on jumping away losing considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

 

 

Race 2 - THE LIVINGSTONE STAKES MA5 (1) 520m

 

No racing incidents of concerns.

 

 

 

Race 3 - NEIL BEATON MA5 (2) 520m

 

5. Canya Style -  Through the back turn shifted out turning its head towards the runner to its outside. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an offside hip support injury a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer A Memorey regarding the greyhounds racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125(a), failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury Canya Style must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127(a), before any future nomination will be accepted once the ten day injury period has expired.

 

7. High Range – Into the first was inconvenienced, through the back turn was marred. A post race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its back and was stood down from racing for 7 days

 

 

 

Race 4 - HEDLEY WHITE GRADE 5 (1) 520m

 

No racing incidents of concerns.

 

 

 

Race 5 - MICK COX FFA 710m

 

No racing incidents of concerns.

 

 

 

Race 6 - RAY UNDERWOOD 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 600m

 

4. Letho Land – Checked entering the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a nearside hind foot split webbing injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

 

 

 

Race 7 - MAVIS BELLAMY 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 600m

 

No racing incidents of concerns.

 

 

 

Race 8 - JOHN MCKNOULTY MIXED 3/4 520m

 

5. Super Scrub – Into the first turn was checked, rounding the home turn was checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

 

 

Race 9 - JOHN MURRAY & BEVERLEY BEHM MIXED 4/5 520m

 

2. Jumping Jive – Into the first turn was severely checked falling as a result. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

 

 

Race 10 - JIM NEARY & JACK HOUSTON AM GRADE 5 (2) 520m
