Best away was BURRUM EAGLE marginally slow was WOO WOP DROP. Soon after the start WICKED TAY and SPIN CITY collided. NO MEDIOCRE checked off heels of MISTER MORK also causing DIZZY CAMBLA to lose ground exiting the first turn. Exiting the second turn NO MEDIOCRE checked off heels of WOO WOP DROP causing the NO MEDIOCRE to run wide.

 

Stewards spoke with handler Corrine Gear on behalf of trainer Christopher Gear regarding the running of WOO WOP DROP down the home straight. Stewards charged the greyhound under rule 69(1a) for Marring. The greyhound is stood down for 28 days and will need to complete a satisfactory steward’s trial.

Gallon of Cambla was best to Begin. Approaching the first turn HERE TO THERE and LOCH ME UP collided. Exiting the second turn and down the home straight GALLON OF CAMBLA and LOCH ME UP raced wide.

Dan Saville Memorial 0-3 wins 550m

Best away was CHIPPIES with RIPPIN’ BARTEL slow. WILBY AWESOME and ELLINGTON collide into the first turn forcing WILBY AWESOME wide.  SANDSHOE raced wide through the first turn. CHIPPIES raced wide exiting the second turn and down the home straight.

FLAMENCO GIRL was best to begin with MURRA SHEHA slow out. STAR OF CAMLBA and SHE’S CRANKY collide entering the first turn causing STAR OF CAMBLA to lose ground. STAR OF CAMBLA checked off heels of SPRING SAL exiting the first turn. GO THE SPOILS raced wide down the back straight.

ROCKETS ANGEL was best away. BETTA BE BUNDY, ZOU BISOU BISOU, ZAZU’S HEADACHE and KHALEESI MISS raced tight into the first turn and checked to varying degrees. ZOU BISOU BISOU and LICORICE BULLET raced wide entering and down the home straight.

 

A post-race veterinary inspection was conducted on LICORICE BULLETT, Minor muscle strains no time given.

RQ Maiden 1000 Bundaberg Final 460m

 

Best away was LIKA BRONSON. The field tightened for racing room into the first turn. Through the second turn CAMBLA CRUISER checked off heels of LIKA HARRIET hampering the running of KISS THE GROOM and WILD ROCK HAYZE. CAMBLA CRUISER raced wide into and down the home straight.

JA Toft & Co 4th Grade 460m

 

ABELE was best to begin with WINGMAN HUTCH marginally slow. Entering the second turn WINGMAN HUTCH, AREREBA and BET YOU WILL were tight for racing room and BET YOU WILL fell. SHARP AZZ EL raced wide down the home straight.

 

A post-race veterinary inspection was conducted on BET YOU WILL, minor bruising to hips no stand down period imposed.

 

A post-race veterinary inspection was conducted on ARREBA finding LH and LF muscle strains. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

ROPE A DOPE was best to begin. Into the first turn DYNA RAZE, SPRING ELLIE and HYPNOTISE EYES collided and DYNA RAZE was pushed wide. HYPNOTISE EYES and SPRING ELLIE raced wide into and down the home straight.

The Chop Shop5th Grade 460m

 

LAST DRINKS was best away with BLITZEN BETTY slow out. Into the first turn GRACIOUS LADY, CAMBLA LALA and ROMAN CHALICE were tight for racing room and checked causing CAMBLA LALA to lose ground. LAST DRINKS lost ground in the back straight.

 

Stewards spoke to trainer Kevin Bryant regarding the performance of his runner LAST DRINKS, Mr Bryant explained that he thinks the dog needs to be rested longer between race starts, and that the dogs performance will be monitored in future races.

NAUGHTY NALA was slow to begin. Into the first turn ARE JAY DUREE checked with HURRICANE HANSI causing HURRICANE HANSI to lose ground. Through the first turn FOXY FIREBALL checked of heels of NAUGHTY NALA and lost ground. Exiting the first turn ARE JAY DUREE was checked and lost ground.
