Race 1 - TAB MAIDEN 460m

3 Tune – checked and lost considerable ground entering the first turn. Impeded, shifted outwards and collided into another runner when leaving the first turn, losing further ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Subsequently was issued a charge under GAR R71 (unsatisfactory performance) and will need to perform a satisfactory stewards trial before resuming.

 

4 Midnight Nachos – bumped with other runners on a number of occasions approaching the first turn.

 

5 White Sox – checked off heels and lost ground leaving the first turn.  

 

6 Billy Bobcat – tightened for room and checked approaching the first turn. Collided into another runner leaving the first turn and fell, taking no further part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a radius and ulna fracture and was stood down for a period of 42 days.

A subsequent follow up veterinary examination that afternoon at a local practice, resulted in the greyhound being humanely euthanised.

 

7 Maori Prince – hampered approaching the first turn. Collided with another runner leaving the first turn and lost significant ground

 

8 On Call – shifted inwards and collided into other runners approaching the first turn, losing ground. Checked and lost ground entering the first turn. Severely inconvenienced leaving the first turn and lost substantial ground.

 

Race 2 - BUNDABERG CUP PRELUDE OPEN 550m

2 Not Scared – marginally slow to begin. Checked off heels shortly after the start and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

 

4 Blame Brendan – stumbled entering the first turn and lost substantial ground, taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the near wrist and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

 

Race 3 - TERRY SIGNS NOVICE 460m

2 Loose Wire – checked leaving the first turn and lost ground. Hampered approaching the turn out of the back straight.

 

4 Ragin' Comet – bumped with another runner on a number of occasions approaching the first turn. Checked and lost ground entering the first turn. Hampered leaving the turn out of the back straight.

 

5 She's Available – bumped with another runner on a number of occasions approaching the first turn.

 

6 Just Too Fast – checked approaching the first turn and lost ground.

 

Race 4 - EAST END HOTEL GRADE 4 460m

1 Courtois – checked entering the first turn and lost momentum.

 

2 Sunset Harlow – checked on multiple occasions entering the first turn and lost ground. Hampered then shifted out through the turn into the front straight.

 

4 Fly Mariposa – best to begin.

 

5 Truthiness – checked on a number of occasions entering the first turn. Checked and lost considerable ground leaving the first turn.

 

7 Roman Siren – hampered entering the first turn.

 

8 Mr. Apollo – tightened for room and checked when entering the first turn.

 

Race 5 - CRAFT RENTAL MA5 460m

1 Naveed – hampered and checked off heels approaching the finish.

 

2 Glamorous Pins – checked entering the front straight.

 

4 My Windsong – tightened for room entering the first turn, then was checked and lost significant ground. The muzzle became partially dislodged from the greyhound at this point. Raced wide through the turn into the front straight.

 

5 Andrew's Shadow – marginally slow to begin.

 

6 Richmer Assault – severely checked and lost significant ground when entering the first turn.

 

8 Glen Cambla – checked entering the front straight.

 

Race 6 - ENDEAVOUR FOUNDATION GRADE 5 (1) 460m

1 Roy Revere – tightened for room, checked off heels and lost ground entering the first turn.

 

2 Cody's Success – bumped with another runner when entering the front straight.

 

3 Cambla Gold – checked entering the first turn and lost ground.

 

4 Farmor Watch Him – checked entering the turn out of the back straight and lost significant ground. Bumped with another runner when entering the front straight.

 

5 Go Nikki – checked leaving the first turn and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the near pin and was stood down for a period of 5 days.

 

6 Inga Lewis – clearly best to begin. Checked entering the turn out of the back straight and lost significant ground. 

 

7 Savoir – checked entering the first turn and lost ground.  

 

Race 7 - CHIP TYRE RECYCLERS GRADE 5 (2) 460m

1 Huxley Bale – faded over the concluding stages of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the near pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

2 Surbiton – checked approaching the first turn. Bumped on a number of occasions entering the first turn and lost momentum. Checked entering the front straight and lost ground.

 

3 Expat Monza – checked approaching the first turn and lost ground.

 

4 Farmor Watch Her - bumped on a number of occasions entering the first turn and lost momentum. Contacted from behind by another runner when entering the front straight.

 

6 Grand Scorpion – checked off heels and lost ground leaving the first turn.

 

8 Fast Chloe – marginally slow to begin. Hampered approaching the turn out of the back straight and lost momentum. Shifted out across heels and collided into another runner when entering the front straight and lost ground.

 

 

 

Race 8 - UNCLE RUSTY'S PHOTOS BEST 8 460m

1 Macdowell – checked entering the front straight.

 

5 Ava Surprise – tightened for room leaving the turn out of the back straight. Checked entering the front straight.  

 

8 Cambla Lala – raced wide through the turn into the front straight.

 

Stewards delayed the declaration of All Clear to review the patrol film in relation to the distance of the lure to the lead runner. Stewards determined that while the lure was within the permitted five-meter distance from the leader, they were satisfied the variance did not inconvenience any runner and confirmed All Clear on the semaphored placings.

 

Race 9 - BARGARA BAKERY GRADE 5 (3) 460m

1 Dinkydi Whispers – raced tight and bumped with another runner on multiple occasions through the first turn. Checked off heels entering the turn into the back straight and lost ground.

 

2 Factional – raced tight and bumped with another runner on multiple occasions through the first turn.

 

3 New Wave – hampered leaving the first turn and lost momentum.

 

4 Inga Bobby – checked leaving the first turn and lost ground.

 

6 Chewing Shoes – checked leaving the first turn and lost ground. Hampered, then checked off heels approaching the turn out of the back straight, losing significant ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the off pin and was stood down for a period of 5 days.

 

8 Louisiana Flyer – best to begin.
