General:

Race 1 Trainer Louise Cameron entered a plea of guilty and was fined the sum

of $100.00 in respect of a charge issued pursuant to Greyhounds Australasia Rule

99 for failing to ensure that a registered person was present at the catching pen area prior to the

commencement of Race one for the purpose of catching the greyhound Cambla Clown when that greyhound was engaged to compete in that Event

Race 1 - SUPERTECH ELECTRONICS NOVICE 460m

 

2 Canent Percy – Slow to begin. Checked with fallen runner entering the first turn before regaining balance and completing the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed offside pin muscle and hip support strain and a neck strain and stood down for 14 days.

 

3 Oceania Blue -  Lost footing and checked shortly after the start. Tightened for racing room and checked before falling heavily and regaining footing and completed the race. Following the event Oceania Blue underwent a post-race veterinary examination The greyhound was found to have had a heat stress related seizure A 28 day stand down penalty was imposed. Acting in accordance with GAR 42 Oceania Blue must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 132 and receive a veterinary clearance before any future nomination will be accepted.

 

 

4 Key Status – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed offside foot laceration and stood down for 21 days.

 

5 Lucky Clover – Checked shortly after the start. Tightened for racing room and checked with another runner entering the first turn.

 

7 Evil Evee – Checked on the heels and dragged down in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed nearside pin muscle strain and nearside hip support muscle strain and stood down for 14 days.

 

 

Race 2 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS MA5 460m

 

2 Willem Powerfish – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels and shifted wider, collided with another runner, and became unbalanced around the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a nearside hind groin muscle strain and stood down for 10 days.

 

4 Sassy Elle – Slow to begin. Collided and forced wider around the first turn.

 

5 Ragin' Comet – Slow to begin.

 

7 Public Servant – Hampered entering the second turn. a veterinary examination revealed a neck strain and stood down for 7 days

 

 

Race 3 - CARVE INDUSTRIES ELECTRICIAN MIXED 4/5 531m

 

4 Durham – Checked in the back straight.

 

6 Valpolicella – Checked in the back straight.

 

 

Race 4 - GLOBAL TURF GRADE 5 531m

 

4 Mepunga Web – Shifted wider shortly after the start and remained wide for the entire event.

 

7 Off Break – Forced wider for entire event.

 

 

Race 5 - CRAFT RENTALS MIXED 4/5 460m

 

1 Shanti – Slow to begin. Checked exiting the turn onto the front straight.

 

2 Bullbar Bruce – Slow to begin. Checked entering the first turn. Checked and became unbalanced exiting the turn onto the front straight.

 

3 Nomad Road – Slow to begin.

 

4 Rough Sea – Lost ground around the second turn. a veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards spoke with trainer Mr Gary Cluse regarding the greyhounds performance, and he is of the opinion that the greyhound is better suited to the shorter distance.

 

6 Make Noise – Stewards spoke with trainer representative Mr Dennis Isles pursuant to GAR 81(1) after the greyhound Make Noise escaped the handler at the catching pen after the running of the race.

 

 

 

Race 6 - SHERRIFF ELECTRICAL GRADE 5 (1) 460m

 

1 Weaver's Cut – Checked entering the first turn.

 

2 Classy Nebo – Checked entering the first turn. disadvantaged around the first turn.

 

3 Orson Alison – Checked entering the first turn.

 

 

Race 7 - TAB BUNDABERG CUP (G3) CONSOLATION OPEN 531m

 

4 Say Some Words -  shortened stride shortly after the start and lost considerable ground over the course of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a nearside back muscle tear and stood down for 60 days and will need to perform a veterinary clearance trial before returning to racing.

 

10 Yo Yo Lad (6) – Slipped and momentarily lost footing shortly after the start.

 

 

Race 8 - TAB BUNDABERG CUP (G3) FINAL OPEN 531m

 

2 All Natural – Checked in the front straight on the first occasion.

 

3 Go Bing – Checked in the front straight on the first occasion.

 

5 Showdown – Checked in the front straight on the first occasion.

 

6 Shaye – Checked off the heels nearing the first turn.

 

 

Race 9 - BARRINGTON'S ENTERPRISE GRADE 5 (2) 460m

 

2 Just Like Nu – Slow to begin.

 

3 Deadly Sea – Checked nearing the first turn.

 

4 Smart And Classy – Checked nearing the first turn. Checked and forced wider, becoming unbalanced entering the first turn.

 

6 Hotshot Bear – Checked nearing the first turn. Checked and shifted wider entering the first turn.

 

7 Dodgy Mick – Slow to begin. Checked and forced wider around the first turn.
