The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

Race 1 – Maiden 410m

TEAM TOKALON was best to begin.  Entering the catching pen WALLABY JACK checked out across the heels of EBONY SPECIAL and raced wide for the majority of the event thereafter.  Approaching the top turn WALLABY JACK was inconvenienced after improving onto the heels of WILDASH WHISPER.

 

Race 2 – 5th Grade 410m

ETOPIA was best to begin.  TOKALON TORNADO was slowly away.  Approaching the top turn FEAR NO HURDLE shifted in making heavy contact with MY FIRST NINJA.  As a result of this incident FEAR NO HURDLE became unbalanced, losing momentum and significant ground.  CASH QUEEN made the home turn awkwardly and raced wide.

 

The greyhound CASH QUEEN was vetted post race and no abnormalities were revealed.

Race 3 – 5th Grade 410m

GIVE ME TIME and BELLE SIND both began well.  HOT BUBBLES, COSMIC LAMP and BRIGHT REBEL were all slowly into stride.  Shortly after the start FLINTSTONE KID shifted out checking the running of HOT BUBBLES which became unbalanced and lost significant ground.  Through the catching pen BEACH FRONT lost ground when tightened for running between GIVE ME TIME and BELLE SIND which was shifting in.  Approaching the top turn GIVE ME TIME was inconvenienced when racing tight to the inside of BELLE SIND.

 

The greyhound HOT BUBBLES was vetted post-race and no abnormalities were revealed.

 

Race 4 – 4th Grade 410m

PRIVATE TALK, MARIA DE CEE and SUPER STORY all began well.  WILDASH MONTE and TITO both dwelt at the start.  CHECK THE WING was slowly into stride.  Entering the catching pen MARIA DE CEE lost ground when tightened for running between PRIVATE TALK and SUPER STORY which was shifting in.  WILDASH MONTE which was following was also checked and raced wide.  Approaching the top turn MARIA DE CEE and SUPERMAC came together. SUPERMAC became unbalanced and raced wide.

 

The greyhound SUPERMAC was vetted post-race and no abnormalities were detected.

 

Race 5 – Best 8 410m

TICKFORD and FEARS THE WORD both began well.  Entering the catching pen JENNY BOOKER and DUEL‘EM UP both lost ground when tightened for running between TICKFORD and SHAKE YOUR BOOTY which was shifting in.  FEARS THE WORD and TRENDY SPRITE were both wide at the home turn.

 

The greyhound TRENDY SPRITE was vetted post-race and no abnormalities were detected.
