VETERINARY EXAMINATIONS
The following greyhounds were sent
to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to
be suffering any injury.
Race 7 MY FIRST NINJA

Race 5 FLINTSTONE KID Injured in running, off side hock,
humanely euthanised
GENERAL
Race 1 – Maiden 410m
TEAM TOKALON and GO FINN both began
well. Through the catching pen SHOTGUN LADY checked off the heels of GO FINN
and in doing so shifted out across the running of WALLEN JOE and MAGIG WISP
which were both inconvenienced. SHOTGUN LADY was wide in the back straight. GO
FINN and WILDASH TAPPER came together at the home turn. WILDASH TAPPER became
unbalanced.
Race 2 – Maiden 410m
WILDASH WHISPER was best to begin.
Soon after the start BENNY BROOK lost ground when tightened for running. Approaching
the home turn GAP YEAR improved to the inside of WILDASH WHISPER and CALL ME
CHARLES which were racing tight. Soon after GAP YEAR shifted
out abruptly onto the running of WILDASH WHISPER and CALL ME CHARLES turning
its head out and making muzzle contact with WILDASH WHISPER, marring the
running of that greyhound. All 3 greyhounds became unbalanced and ran
off the track on straightening.
Trainer’s representative Mr. S Essery was advised that the greyhound GAP YEAR would be
charged under the provisions of GAR 69 Marring 1st offence and would
be stood down from racing for a period of 28 days and required to perform 1
satisfactory stewards trial prior to nominating.

Race 3 – Grade
5 410m
HI HOMBRE and BUCKAROO SUE both
dwelt at the start. Soon after the start GIVE ME TIME shifted in tightening the
running of EARLY SHOW which lost ground. Leaving the catching pen TOKALON
HOTSHOT shifted in severely checking the running of HOT BUBBLES which lost
significant ground. Approaching the top turn BUCKAROO SUE shifted in severely
checking the running of EARLY SHOW which lost significant ground. GIVE ME TIME and BUCKAROO SUE came together down the running.
Race 4 – Grade 5 410m
JUSTA BEAUTY and MISS WORLDWIDE both
dwelt at the start. Leaving the catching pen CASH QUEEN shifted in severely
checking the running of KING ROCKSTAR and RHONDA’S TEARS which both lost
significant ground. MISS WORLDWIDE which was following was also inconvenienced.
Approaching the top turn RHONDA’S TEARS shifted in checking the running of
JUSTA BEAUTY.
Race 5 – 4/5th
Grade 544m
RAILROAD
ROCKET, BEACH FRONT and FLINTSTONE KID all began well. BEACH
FRONT and FLINTSTONE KID came together soon after the start. FLINSTONE
KID lost ground. Through the 1st turn FLINTSTONE KID shifted out
across the heels of SELFIE losing ground as a result. Leaving the catching pen
RICHTER SCALE shifted out across the heels of COSMIC LAMP and raced wide.
Approaching the top turn FLINTSTONE KID faltered in its action, losing momentum
and took no further competitive part in the event.
The
greyhound FLINTSTONE KID which was vetted post-race was found to have sustained
an injury to its off side hock, and was humanely euthanised.
Race 6 – RQ
Young Guns Final 410m
SUPERMAC and
WILDASH WILDFIRE both began well. Soon after the start WILDASH WILDFIRE shifted
in severely checking the running of SUPERMAC. BALZAREEN which was following was
also checked. Approaching the top turn BALZAREEN shifted in checking the
running of WILDASH REV. WILDASH DUKE was wide for the majority of the event.
Race 7 – 4/5th
Grade 410m
STARZAR
GOLD dwelt at the start. Leaving the catching pen WILDASH MONTE shifted out
inconveniencing the running of MY FIRST NINJA. BOLD DEBREE and WILDASH MONTE
were both wide in the back straight.
The
greyhound MY FIRST NINJA was vetted post race and no
abnormalities were revealed.
Race 8 – 3/4th
Grade 410m
MAKE THE
SWITCH was best to begin. Soon after the start JENNY BOOKER lost ground when
tightened for running. Through the top turn SUPER STORY lost ground when
tightened for running by BENEDICT GEOFF. IMPOSING SIND was wide throughout.
