GENERAL

 

Race 1 – Maiden 410m

TEAM TOKALON and GO FINN both began well. CALL ME CHARLES was slowly away. Through the catching pen GO FINN shifted in checking the running of SHOTGUN LADY. CALL ME CHARLES which was following was also inconvenienced and raced wide. TEAM TOKALON and SHOTGUN LADY were both wide at the top turn.

 

Race 2 – 5th Grade 410m

Even start. Entering the catching pen WILDASH MONTE shifted in tightening the running of MY FIRST NINJA. Soon after ON DECK lost ground when tightened for running between WILDASH MONTE and COLLARINA both of which were shifting ground. Entering the back straight WILDASH MONTE which was continuing to shift out took ON DECK, COLLARINA, LISTEN and TRU ZOOMER wider on the track. All 5 greyhounds lost significant ground. At the home turn WILDASH MONTE shifted out abruptly making heavy contact with LISTEN. Both greyhounds became unbalanced and continued to race tight down the running.

 

Race 3 – 5th Grade 410m

SMYLEE SERENADE began well. Soon after the start SMYLEE SERENADE shifted in checking the running of WINFIELD ROCKY which lost ground. Leaving the catching pen ETOPIA shifted in checking the running of PURE BEKIM causing that greyhound to shift out taking WINFIELD ROCKY wide into the back straight. ETOPIA was also inconvenienced in this incident.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade 410m

EARLY SHOW began well. MR. REX was slowly away. Soon after the start TOKALON HOTSHOT shifted in checking the running of HOT BUBBLES and REBEL DICTATOR. EARLY SHOW was wide at the top turn.

 

Race 5 – Cairns Grand Prix Open Heat 1 544m

SNAKE PROOF and DUEL ‘EM UP both began well. KLONDIKE RUSH dwelt at the start. Approaching the winning post on the 1st occasion RAILROAD ROCKET shifted in tightening the running of ZAMBEZI ROCK and DUEL ‘EM UP which lost ground. Approaching the catching pen RAILROAD ROCKET shifted in across the running of ZAMBEZI ROCK which was checked and raced wide. SNAKE PROOF and RAILROAD ROCKET came together at the home turn. COSMIC LAMP and KLONDIKE RUSH both raced wide for the majority of the event.

 

Race 6 – Cairns Grand Prix Open Heat 2- 544m

TICKFORD was best to begin. TOKALON TORNADO and SELFIE came together down the running on the 1st occasion. Both greyhounds were unbalanced. Passing the winning post on the 1st occasion EXPRESS PASS shifted out across the running of SELFIE onto the hindquarters of PRIVATE TALK which became unbalanced. EXPRESS PASS and SELFIE were both severely checked in this incident and EXPRESS PASS lost significant ground. PRIVATE TALK and TICKFORD came together on straightening. TICKFORD became unbalanced. 

Race 7 – 4th Grade 410m

CASH QUEEN was best to begin. MALIAN REIGN was very slowly away. Though the catching pen SUPER STORY shifted in checking the running of CASH QUEEN which lost ground. Soon after CAPTAIN LONESTAR improved onto the hindquarters of ZELINKA. Both greyhounds were severely checked in this incident and lost significant ground. Approaching the home turn CASH QUEEN checked out across the hindquarters of BOLD DEBREE and raced wide.
