1.

IZZY’S CARPENTRY 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 – 410M

HARA’S STORM was best to begin.  In the 1st turn, WESTMEAD WARRIOR and ARTHUR’S STEVIE collided, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  Entering the back straight, RHONDA’S BEAR and WESTMEAD WARRIOR collided, causing RHONDA’S BEAR to lose ground.

2.

CHERP 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 – 410M

BLAZIN’ BLUE was best to begin, with FREDDIE RAWSON slow. Approaching the turn out of the back straight, RHONDA’S YOGI clipped heels and was hampered. Rounding the turn into the front straight, KARMAR’S TIME clipped heels and was hampered.

 

The greyhound FREDDIE RAWSON underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off side front wrist and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

3.

GALWAY BAY 4TH GRADE – 410M

BELLA MARLO was best to begin.  Rounding the turn into the front straight, RUM RUNNER clipped the heels of BELLA MARLO, causing both greyhounds to be hampered. In the front straight MR. CANNA raced wide. 

 

The greyhound HUCKABEE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

4.

NED AND WILLOW MIXED 3/4 - 410M

SPRING POLLY was best to begin, with KY KENNETH was slow. In the 1st turn, SPRING POLLY, SHARHELIAN STAR, MR. MERVE and LIBBY’S HERO collided, causing all greyhounds to lose ground at differing degrees.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, SHARHELIAN STAR and MR. MERVE collided, causing MR. MERVE to lose ground and SHARHELIAN STAR to be hampered. Entering the front straight, FERAL CHERAL raced wide.

 

The greyhound MR. MERV underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

5.

TOP END ELECTRICIAN AND SMITHY 5TH GRADE – 544M

Even start.  Shortly after the start, TINA SIERRA, JACK ADDI, MAGIC HARRISON, HARA’S HUMMER and HARA’S SAM all raced tight, causing all greyhounds to be hampered.  In the front straight, on the 1st occasion, HARA’S SAM raced wide.

6.

MARIO’S PAINTING CONTRACTORS BEST 8 – 410M

BURNER BANT was best to begin.  In the 1st turn, BURNER BANT, TOP TELLER and BRUTON MISS all raced tight, causing TOP TELLER to lose ground.  Entering the back straight, BRUTON MISS clipped the heels of BURNER BANT, causing BRUTON MISS to lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight, TRACEY’S HERO and LEAD CONTENDER collided, causing both greyhounds to be hampered.  Entering the front straight, MANHATTAN MAID and BURNER BANT bumped.
