VETERINARY EXAMINATIONS

 

The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

Race 3             BLOO FRANKIE                  Reported injured, off hind back muscle, 6 weeks

 

GENERAL

 

 

Race 1 – Maiden 366m

DIESEL BENZ, KILDONAN KID and CORNELIA FLO were best to begin.  JACK AND JILL and HANKY MOODY were slow out.  Near the 200m HANK MOODY shifted in which hampered JACK AND JILL.

 

Race 2 – Novice 366m

Even start.  Through the 200m ELITE SOX and SMART HORNET bumped on several occasions.  Near the 100m KODI SANNETTE checked off the heels of SMART HORNET and lost momentum.  Near the 100m ELITE SOX clipped the heels of SMART HORNET and lost momentum.

 

Race 3 – 5th Grade 366m

Even start.  Shortly after the start TATTOO shifted out which hampered VINCENTIA and TRACKIE CHAN.  Near the 200m TATTOO shifted in making contact with FAMEHON, which in turn contacted TRACKIE CHAN causing all 3 greyhounds to be checked.  Near the 200m BLOO FRANKIE gave ground and finished a considerable distance from the remainder of the field.

A post-race Veterinary examination on BLOO FRANKIE revealed it to have suffered an injury to its off hind back muscle and was stood down from racing for 6 weeks.

 

Race 4 – 4/5th Grade 366m

Even start.  Shortly after the start GOD ONLY KNOWS shifted out and made contact with LAKODA DAWN causing both greyhounds to be checked.  Approaching the 200m GOD ONLY KNOWS bumped with LAKODA DAWN causing GOD ONLY KNOWS to shift out and make contact with WILD ELITE, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade 366m

BEAR FOR BREAKY was best to begin.  Near the 100m BY GOLLY MOLLY shifted out which hampered MACY DIAMONDS.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade 366m

TRACEY ROSE HI was declared a late scratching at 1.35 pm on Veterinary advice when it was found to be suffering from kennel stress, the deductions of 7 cents in the win and 8 cents in the place was ordered for all bets placed above the line drawn and all money invested on TRACIE ROSE HI to be refunded in full.

Even start.  AGENT ROMANOFF and HARA’S SIZZLE bumped near the 200m.  MAGIC GALO and AGENT ROMANOFF bumped near the 150m.

 

Race 7 – Capalaba Cup Heat 1 366m

Even start.  Shortly after the start TAPPO OSTERIA shifted out making contact with OLLIE BENZ, which in turn made contact with SUPER SOOK causing all 3 greyhounds to be checked.  Near the 100m BIRTHDAY BASH shifted out which hampered OLLIE BENZ.

 

Race 8 – Capalaba Cup Heat 2 366m

Even start.  Shortly after the start FROSTY JAY JAY shifted out and came into contact with NAPALM causing both greyhounds to be hampered.
