Race Reports

 

Race 1 – JIMARY COMET MAIDEN – 366M

 

Even start.  Near the 200m, HOPPING MAD and LYNNY’S HONEY collide, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground.  Near the 150m, BANJO TOMMY shifted ground and lost momentum.  Near the 100m, WINX ROSE shifted in, which hampered the running of NOIRE DREAM. 

 

 

Race 2 – MICHAEL MILLER MEMORIAL 5TH GRADE HEAT 1- 366M

 

Near the 150m, BENNETT shifted out, which hampered the running of NANNY WHO. 

 

 

Race 3 - MICHAEL MILLER MEMORIAL 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 - 366M

 

MERRIWA shifted in shortly after the start.  SAGE OF OMAHA commenced to give ground over the final 100m, to finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field. 

 

 

Race 4 - MICHAEL MILLER MEMORIAL 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 - 366M

 

Shortly after the start, ALL ABOUT TIGER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Near the 50m, BARDO’S MEMORY and THANKING PETER collided on a number of occasions.

 

Stewards’ question licensed trainer, Mr G Monkman, in regards to the actions of BARDO’S MEMORY over the concluding stages of the race, however, after considering all available evidence, the greyhound was given the benefit of the doubt as to whether it had offended under any rule.

 

Race 5 - MICHAEL MILLER MEMORIAL 5TH GRADE HEAT 4 - 366M

 

TRUMP VEGAS shifted in shortly after the start.  Near the 100m, TOMMY TUCKER shifted out, which hampered the running of ANNIE SAID.

 

Race 6 - MICHAEL MILLER MEMORIAL 5TH GRADE HEAT 5 - 366M

 

ALPHA CHAOS and LITTLE RIPPA were tightened for racing room shortly after the start and lost ground.  Near the 200m, ALPHA CHAOS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. 

 

The greyhound ROSEALIE WHO underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound KIM OSTI underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

 

 

Race 7 - MICHAEL MILLER MEMORIAL 5TH GRADE HEAT 6- 366M

 

SAY GOOD DAY shifted in shortly after the start.  Near the 100m, SLICK SHANNON shifted in, which hampered the running of PATCHE DE KAHN. 

 

 

Race 8 - MICHAEL MILLER MEMORIAL 5TH GRADE HEAT 7- 366M

 

OUR DELIVERANCE was tightened for racing room shortly after the start and lost ground.  Near the 200m, RAPID MAIL and OUR DELIVERANCE collide. KIM OSTI gave ground over the final 50m. 

 

Connection to the greyhound KIM OSTI was advised that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69(a), Failing to Pursue 1st Offence, with the greyhound being stood down for a period of 28 days at Capalaba, and required to perform satisfactory stewards’ trial prior to racing.

 

Race 9 – HAPPY BIRTHDAY DI O’DONNELL MIXED 3/4TH GRADE – 366M

 

REDNECK BANJO and JEANNIE DREAMING both shifted in shortly after the start.
