Race 1 – JUST GREYHOUNDS PHOTOS MAIDEN HEAT 1 – 366M
Shortly after the
start, MY BRO DOUGIE checked across heels and was momentarily hampered. Near the 200m, CAUSEWAY BUD shifted across
the heels of GIFT and was momentarily hampered.
CAUSEWAY BUD eased over the final 50m, and failed to chase the lure with
due commitment.
The greyhound CAUSEWAY
BUD underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have
sustained a back strain injury and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
Connection to the
greyhound CAUSEWAY BUD was advised that the greyhound would be charged under
Rule 69B Failing to Pursue with Injury, and would be stood down for a period of
10 days and would be required to perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial prior
to racing.
Race 2 – ON THE BUNNY GREYHOUND TIPS MAIDEN HEAT 2 – 366M
Shortly
after the start, FROSTY BLACK JAY shifted in, which hampered the running of
COCONUT LASS. Shortly after, AL’S IN
TROUBLE shifted in which hampered the running of BOO CAN BABE. Near the 200m, BUD’S MILLAR checked across
heels and was momentarily hampered.
BUD’S MILLAR commenced to give ground over the final 50m.
The
greyhound BUD’S MILLAR underwent a post race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found.
Race 3 – ADOPT A GREYHOUND NOVICE – 366M
Shortly
after the start, TOOK A RHYNO and IMPATIENT KID collide. Near the 200m, TOOK A RHYNO was tightened for
racing room, checked and lost ground.
Shortly after, FROSTY SKY, JIMARY NAVIGATOR and IMPATIENT KID all
collide, resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground. Near the 100m, IMPATIENT KID checked across
heels and lost ground.
The greyhound MAKING
CENTS underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have
sustained an injury to the near side hip and was stood down for a period of 7
days.
Race 4 – CLIFFORD HOUSTON APPRECIATION 5TH GRADE
HEAT 1 – 366M
Shortly
after the start, TOOK A FERGUS shifted in, which hampered the running of
BOWENVALE and POWER OF PENNY. Near the
150m, JIGGLE SPLAT and SONTREI MESCUAL collide, resulting in JIGGLE SPLAT to be
checked and lose ground.
Race 5 – SWAN PLUMBING SUPPLIES CAPALABA 5TH
GRADE HEAT 2 – 366M
Shortly
after the start, VIKING WHITE and TOOK A SELFIE collide, resulting in both
greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.
Near the 50m, VIKING WHITE checked across heels and lost ground.
Race 6 – CONGRATULATIONS BUNNY BRASCH 5TH GRADE
HEAT 3 – 366M
Shortly
after the start, GIFTED PINES, GUNNA WINK and REBEL KENNELLY all collide,
resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground. Near the 200m, AVA SURPRISE and MAKING CENTS
collide. Near the 100m, LION’S BLUE and
MAKING CENTS collide.
The
greyhound MAKING CENTS underwent a post race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found.
Race 7 – CHRIS GEORGIOU APPRECIATION 4TH GRADE –
366M
CAWBOURNE
BIGRED shifted in shortly after the start.
Near the 150m, MR. TERRIFIC checked across heels and was momentarily
hampered.
Race 8 – MELBOURNE CUP @ CAP GREYS BEST 8 – 366M
Near the 200m, TOO MANY
BILLS shifted out, which hampered the running of VISIGOTH. Near the 100m, NOTORIOUS HERO shifted out,
which hampered the running of GUTENBERG.
