The greyhound BIG YELLOW TAXI performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.91.
The greyhound SHOOP SHOOP SONG performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.51.
MYSTERIOUS DREAM was slow to begin. Shortly after the start MAGIC ESCAPE was tightened for room between SWEET DELIGHT and SMILING FRIEDA causing this greyhound to lose ground. Shortly after the start COST A QUID checked off the heels of BAD RILEY forcing COST A QUID to race wider on the track.
SHORTCUT CHARLIE was slow to begin. Turning into the back straight ARABIAN MELODY and FULL BAMQUIN raced tight. In the back straight CROSSER raced wide. Throughout the home straight FULL BAMQUIN and CROSSER raced wide.
The greyhound SHORTCUT CHARLIE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 3 – Maiden Final 431m
SHAYLOR ROSE was slow to begin. Turning into the back straight THAT’S INSANE and SMOOTH SHILOW bumped. Entering the back straight STRAYA was tightened for room between RYLI’S RAMBO and PURELY PENNY causing STRAYA to lose ground. STRAYA raced wide throughout the home straight.
The greyhound BOLD AS BRASH was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 4 – Novice 431m
This race was delayed 15 minutes due to an electrical fault. The starting time for this race was amended to 5.10pm. Starting times for following races were amended to Race 5 5.25pm, Race 6 5.42pm and the following races started at the correct times.
BONNO BEACH was best to begin. Shortly after the start ONE WON’T HURT knuckled. Also at that point SPRING CRYSTAL shifted in tightening WITHOUT DETOUR onto KAPALUA onto DOLLAR GIRL, causing DOLLAR GIRL to lose considerable ground. Turning into the back straight KAPALUA tightened WITHOUT DETOUR. Entering the top turn ONE WON’T HURT shifted out checking SPRING CRYSTAL. Shortly after CHANGALANG then shifted out checking SPRING CRYSTAL again, causing this greyhound to fall. Approaching the finishing line DOLLAR GIRL and CHANGALANG bumped heavily.
The greyhound SPRING CRYSTAL was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 5 – 5th
Grade 431m
GOLD PLATED was slow to begin. Shortly after the start JOIE ECLAT and SPRITELY LIL bumped. A short distance later LOAD ME UP was then tightened between MAGIC KITCHEN and JOIE ECLAT forcing LOAD ME UP to lose considerable ground. Turning into the back straight GOLD PLATED checked off the heels of MACIE’S DINGO causing GOLD PLATED to lose ground. Approaching the turn out of the back straight DIANNE’S PEARL checked off the heels of ROXY ROCKET causing DIANNE’S PEARL to lose considerable ground. Entering the front straight JOIE ECLAT and LOAD ME UP bumped heavily. Approaching the finishing line SPRITELY LIL checked off the heels of JOIE ECLAT. GOLD PLATED raced wide throughout the home straight.
Race 6 – 5th
Grade 520m
SPRING BLITZ was slow to begin. Entering the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion WHIRLY WAY checked off the heels of SNEAKY LITTLE ME. Entering the back straight INTENSIVE STORM raced onto the hindquarters of SNEAKY LITTLE ME resulting in SNEAKY LITTLE ME suffering severe interference causing further interference to USAIN BUZZA, resulting in all 3 greyhounds losing considerable ground. Entering the home straight LITTLE TRISH was tightened for room between WHIRLY WAY and SPRING BLITZ. SNEAKY LITTLE ME and MISS JACKPOT raced wide throughout the home straight.
The greyhound SNEAKY LITTLE ME was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
The greyhound INTENSIVE STORM was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
The greyhound USAIN BUZZA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 7 – 4/5th Grade 520m
VICTORY PRINCE was marginally slow to begin. SPRING FIRECHIEF was slow to begin. SPRING CANDY and ALARM BELLS were both best to begin. Shortly after the start CUTE TO BOOT was tightened between STAR SPEED and CHEEKY FREYER. Entering the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion ALARM BELLS shifted in making heavy contact with WITH A GEE, resulting in both greyhounds becoming extremely unbalanced almost falling. Further to this incident resulting in SPRING FIRECHIEF, VICTORY PRINCE and CUTE TO BOOT all being checked. VICTORY PRINCE and SPRING FIRECHIEF raced wide throughout the home straight.
The greyhound ALARM BELLS was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 8 – 3/4th Grade 431m
SUNNY JIM and VICKI ROSE HI were best to begin. Turning into the back straight WINNING NOVA and SNOWBALL BOB made heavy contact. Entering the back straight SUNNY JIM was tightened for room and lost ground between PEARLS ANGEL and VICKI ROSE HI which shifted in. Approaching the turn out of the back straight SNOWBALL BOB checked off the heels of THUNDER OF SPEED, resulting in SNOWBALL BOB losing considerable ground, resulting to further interference to SUNNY JIM and VICKI ROSE HI who were following. WINNING NOVA and SUNNY JIM raced wide throughout the home straight.
The greyhound SNOWBALL BOB was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 9 – 5th Grade 431m
FASHION ADVICE and ZULU PRINCESS were best to begin. Shortly after the start DIRTY DESSA was tightened for room between BLUE SIZE and SHANIA SIND. Turning into the back straight BLUE SIZE, DIRTY DESSA and SHANIA SIND all raced tight resulting in DIRTY DESSA losing some ground. Entering the turn out of the back straight LITTLE SIZZLER checked off the heels of BLUE SIZE. BLUE SIZE raced wide throughout the event.
Race 10 – 5th Grade 431m
HE’S A HUNTER was slow to begin. Shortly after the start SECRET STASH and SPECIAL GIRL bumped.
