The greyhound KUSCHY ASSASSIN failed a Return to Racing Trail 1 over the distance of 431m.
The greyhound PRECIOUS ETHEL performed a satisfactory weight trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 26.00 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks.
The greyhound CAPTAIN CES performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 3 over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.81.
The greyhound CAHILL EXPRESS performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 2 over the distance of 431m in a time of 26.03.
SPIRAL SYSTEM and YOU THERE JOAN were slow to begin. Shortly after the start CLASSY BAMQUIN shifted out checking GALWAY THUNDER. Through the catching pen GALWAY THUNDER shifted outwards severely checking the running of SWITCH BLADE and YOU THERE JOAN. In this incident YOU THERE JOAN raced wide. Entering the back straight CLASSY BAMQUIN shifted out checking off the heels of GUNNER. CLASSY BAMQUIN raced wide. Approaching the 630m boxes SMART CHIC shifted outwards severely checking GUNNER. Approaching the home turn GALWAY THUNDER shifted out checking CLASSY BAMQUIN. In the home straight SPIRAL SYSTEM and GALWAY THUNDER raced tight. YOU THERE JOAN raced wide in the home straight.
CROSSER and MISS OLYMPIA raced tight shortly after the start. HAWTHORN BUDDY was slowly away. Through the catching pen CROSSER shifted outwards checking the running of SHORTCUT CHARLIE, PURELY PENNY and HAWTHORN BUDDY. In this incident SHORTCUT CHARLIE raced wide. In the back straight CROSSER and SHORTCUT CHARLIE raced very wide. In the home straight HAWTHORN BUDDY shifted inwards checking off the heels of PURELY PENNY.
Race 3 – Maiden 431m
WATTA GENIUS and NO GUN were slow to begin. Through the catching pen ALMOST DODGY shifted inwards checking BAD RILEY. Shortly after BAD RILEY shifted outwards checking ALMOST DODGY and STRONG CURRENT. Approaching the 630m boxes BAD RILEY shifted inwards checking the running of NO GUN. In this incident NO GUN shifted outwards severely checking the running of ALMOST DODGY. In this incident ALMOST DODGY became unbalanced. Approaching the home turn HELLO JOAN shifted outwards checking SPRING QUAYS.
Race 4 – Novice 431m
Even start. Through the catching pen HELL’S ENEMY shifted outwards causing general interference to the running of PEPPER PRINCESS, FAMECHON and MY MATE LING. In the home straight SHAYLA ROSE shifted inwards checking off the heels of MY MATE LING. Approaching the finishing line FREDRIK, HECTORMALEE, SHAYLA ROSE and FAMECHON raced tight.
Race 5 – Novice 431m
Shortly after the start MISS MERINO shifted in checking KLOEIS PRIDE. In the back straight MARLOW TYCOON shifted outwards checking off the heels of PLEASE REFRAIN. Approaching the finishing line SPRING CRYSTAL shifted inwards. At the same time ONE OVER CRUSH shifted outwards. In this incident SPRING CRYSTAL became unbalanced.
The greyhound PLEASE REFRAIN was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms. N Peters in regards to the greyhound’s performance in the home straight and a warning was issued. Stewards advised that the greyhound’s future performances would be monitored.
Race 6 – 4/5th
Grade Heat 1 431m
YALINGA began well. Shortly after BONGANI and BARBARINO’S BOY raced tight. Approaching the 600m boxes BEAUTY ROSE HI shifted inwards tightening the running of BONGANI. Shortly after LOVE LETTERS shifted in tightening the running of BOGIE DREAM. In this incident BOGIE DREAM became unbalanced and lost ground. BARBARINO’S BOY and COSMIC CATCH raced wide to avoid BOGIE DREAM.
The greyhound BOGIE DREAM was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 7 – 4/5th Grade 520m
Shortly after the start RHYTHMIC BLUES shifted inwards tightening the running of MAGGIE MERLOT. On the turn out of the straight DARE TO TELL shifted outwards checking BOGIE’S A STAR which was forced to race wide. BOO BOO CHILD raced wide in this incident. In the back straight BOGIE’S A STAR raced wide of its own accord. Approaching the home turn CORNELIA JESS shifted out checking the running of BOGIE’S A STAR. Approaching the finishing line MAGGIE MERLOT and BOO BOO CHILD were racing tight.
Race 8 – 4/5th Grade Heat 2 431m
EMBELLISH began well. Approaching the back straight EMBELLISH shifted outwards checking the running of BOGIE FLYER. Approaching the 630m boxes LITTLE SIZZLER shifted outwards severely checking the running of GIGGLING BEACH. Approaching the home straight JOIE ECLAT, BOGIE FLYER and LITTLE SIZZLER were racing tight. In the home straight GIGGLING BEACH raced wide.
Race 9 – 4/5th Grade Heat 3 431m
SPRING CLOVER was slow to begin. Shortly after SHIVERANCE shifted outwards checking BLOO FRANKIE which in turn checked the running of SPRING CLOVER. Through the catching pen WALLY’S WAY shifted outwards checking OUT WEST. Passing the 630m boxes SHIVERANCE when losing ground dropped back onto the running of OUT WEST. In the home straight BLOO FRANKIE raced wide of its own accord.
The
greyhound SHIVERANCE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off
side pin and was stood down for a period of 14 days.
Race 10 – 4/5th Grade Heat 4 431m
FASHION ADVICE began well. Through the catching pen DIRTY DESSA and GOLDEN FLEECE raced tight. Approaching the 630m boxes DIRTY DESSA and DOLLY BLOO were racing tight. In this incident DOLLY BLOO shifted inwards checking the running of TRIGGER. Approaching the home turn TRIGGER shifted outwards checking the running of GOLDEN FLEECE.
