The greyhound SPRING ENTRY performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 3 over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.10.
The greyhound SHEZA MINI SIZE performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 2 over the distance of 431m in a time of 26.24.
Even start. MADEMOISELE MISS began awkwardly. Shortly after the start MISS CREDIT was tightened for room between TRIER and BLACK STREET BOY. Entering the back straight MADEMOISELE MISS, SWEET MANTRA, PRECIOUS ETHEL and SHELIA DOOLEY all raced tight resulting in PRECIOUS ETHEL losing considerable ground. Also at that stage BLACK STREET BOY checked off the heels of MISS CREDIT and lost some ground. Entering the top turn MADEMOISELE MISS checked off the heels of SWEET MANTRA forcing this greyhound wider on the track interfering with MISS CREDIT. MADEMOISELE MISS checked off the heels of BLACK STREET BOY in the home straight.
DEAD END was slow to begin. TWO BEERS was best to begin. Approaching the turn into the back straight EAT SOME CAKE shifted in hampering HOPEFUL JACK, causing that greyhound to lose considerable ground. In the back straight JOKE’S ON ME checked off the heels of DEAD END losing some ground. Entering the top turn DEAD END and HOPEFUL JACK bumped, resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.

WOODY’S RETURN and MUGGED ON TOUR were best to begin. SHAYLOR CRASH and NAT MAN were slow to begin. Entering the top turn ROCKING RONNY checked off the heels of NAT MAN. Throughout the home straight WOODY’S RETURN shifted out and raced wide. YOU THERE JOAN raced wide throughout the home straight. Approaching the winning post ROCKING RONNY checked off the heels of NAT MAN.
Race 4 – Novice

HELLO JOAN was slow to begin. Shortly after the start GUNNADOO RAIDER and IRISIZE bumped. Approaching the turn into the back straight QUEEN OF SHOW, IMA COUNTRY BOY, IRISIZE and URBAN ENFORCER all raced tight resulting in IMA COUNTRY BOY, QUEEN OF SHOW and IRISIZE all losing ground. URBAN ENFORCER and IMA COUNTRY BOY bumped entering the home straight.

DIANNE’S PEARL was best to begin. RYLI’S DREAMER was slow to begin. Shortly after the start GOOD GESTURE and BROOKVALE GLORY made heavy contact. Entering the back straight GOOD BYE JOAN was tightened between RYLI’S DREAMER and GOOD GESTURE, resulting in that greyhound losing considerable ground. Entering the top turn BROOKVALE GLORY checked off the heels of JASMINE HOLLY, resulting in that greyhound losing considerable ground and taking no further competitive part in the event. Through the top turn URBAN STREET checked off the heels of DIANNE’S PEARL forcing this greyhound wider on the track. GOOD BYE JOAN raced wide throughout the home straight.

ROYAL ALBERT was slow to begin. ELLIE’S VOLUNTAS was best to begin. Approaching the turn into the back straight SPRING MILLIE and LOVE LETTERS came together losing some ground. Entering the back straight NEUROLOGICAL checked off the heels of AZA BUZZ, resulting in NEUROLOGICAL losing considerable ground. Entering the top turn MAGIC KITCHEN checked off the heels of LOVE LETTERS.
The greyhound ELLIE’S VOLUNTAS was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

LUNAR QUEEN was best to begin. SPRING BLUESTONE began awkwardly. Approaching the turn into the back straight SHOOP SHOOP SONG, TWICE AS NICE and BONGANI all raced tight resulting in TWICE AS NICE and NEVER THE TRUTH who were following losing considerable ground. Entering the top turn BONGANI checked off the heels of SHOOP SHOOP SONG. Through the top turn SHE SAID NO and NEVER THE TRUTH made heavy contact resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.

PACIFIC HARBOUR was best to begin. Entering the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion SKETCHY AIMY checked off the heels of ULTIMATE STAR. Shortly after ULTIMATE STAR shifted out checking BAT OUTA HELL, resulting in both greyhounds losing some ground. In the back straight PACIFIC HARBOUR checked off the heels of SMOKEM UP SMOKEY. Entering the top turn PACIFIC HARBOUR shifted in checking SMOKEM UP SMOKEY, resulting in this greyhound losing considerable ground. Entering the home straight GATE SLINGER and CANDY CRUSH were forced wider on the turn when BONNIE BRAE shifted out. GATE SLINGER and CANDY CRUSH raced wide throughout the home straight.
The greyhound SMOKEM UP SMOKEY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

FEARLESS DUK was best to begin. Shortly after the start ELITE DESSA checked off the heels of GLOBAL DEEJAY. Approaching the turn into the back straight WORK OF ART checked off the heels of LA LUCCIOLA, resulting in that greyhound and GLOBAL DEEJAY losing considerable ground. Entering the back straight GLOBAL DEEJAY checked off the heels of WORK OF ART. In the back straight NEVER ENDS checked off the heels of LA LUCCIOLA. Entering the top turn LA LUCCIOLA checked off the heels of WORK OF ART. Entering the home straight DOLLY BLOO bumped QUE SERA wider on the track.

SPRING CANDY was slow to begin. THUNDER EYES was best to begin. Shortly after the start SPRING CANDY was tightened for room and lost ground between ALARM BELLS and IPSWICH MELODY. Approaching the turn into the back straight both SPRING CANDY and IPSWICH MELODY were tightened for room and lost ground between LITTLE SIZZLER and ALARM BELLS. Entering the back straight LITTLE SIZZLER checked off the heels of HABANA FLEX, resulting in further interference to IPSWICH MELODY. Entering the top turn SPRING CANDY and LITTLE SIZZLER bumped, resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing some ground. Through the top turn IPSWICH MELODY checked off the heels of SPRING CANDY, resulting in IPSWICH MELODY raced wider on the track.
The
greyhound THUNDER EYES was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the
near side wrist and was stood down for a period of 14
days.
