The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

Race 4 YALINGA Injured in running, off hind leg, humanely euthanised
Even start. NURSEY WARD was slow to begin. Shortly after the start FOCUS ME and RUBY BELTAH came together resulting in RUBY BELTAH being inconvenienced and lose momentum. Shortly after SITELLA was tightened for racing room between QUEEN OF SHOW and KAMILAROI DUK, was checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight QUEEN OF SHOW checked over the heels of KAMILAROI DUK and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight RUBY BELTAH and GLENALLON RINGO came together. In the back straight GLENALLON RINGO raced wide.
The greyhound RUBY BELTAH was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. The trainer Mr. G Boody explained that RUBY BELTAH had worked well during the week and he expected a forward showing of the greyhound tonight however, when it suffered some interference shortly which resulted in it racing towards the tail of the field he was of the view that RUBY BELTAH may have lost sight of the lure. He further stated that the greyhound is best suited when drawn inside boxes. Mr. Boody’s explanation was noted.
GUN LEGACY, MADAM’S FLASH’S, SUITE ALEXIS and MURBAH GOLD were best to begin. Approaching the turn out of the front straight GUN LEGACY and MURBAH GOLD came together. Rounding the turn out of the front straight SOCCER’S OFF, SCAR’S BROTHER and MADAM’S FLASH’S all came together resulting in each greyhound being inconvenienced to varying degrees. Shortly after SOCCER’S OFF contacted the heels of SCAR’S BROTHER causing that greyhound to be checked and lose ground. Rounding the turn out of the back straight SUITE ALEXIS and MURBAH GOLD collided resulting in SUITE ALEXIS being checked and losing ground. In the front straight SCAR’S BROTHER shifted out and hampered SUITE ALEXIS.

3 – 5th Grade 431m
SAVE US, KULU FREEDOM, WALLY’S WAY and GOD ONLY KNOWS were best to begin. Approaching the turn into the back straight KULU FREEDOM was tightened for racing room and lost ground. ELUSIVE FUSION raced wide around the home turn and into the front straight.

4 – 4/5th Grade 431m
Even start. Approaching the turn into the back straight ALEEAH JET, TORQUE FLIGHT, SUNDAY SUNRISE and FEARLESS DUK all raced tight resulting in SUNDAY SUNRISE being checked and losing ground. Shortly after SUNDAY SUNRISE and HARNEY came together causing both greyhounds to be hampered. Rounding the turn into the back straight JAXON’S PEDRO and YALINGA came together resulting in YALINGA being checked and fell and took no further part in the race. In the back straight FEARLESS DUK clipped the heels of ALEEAH JET causing it to lose momentum. Rounding the home turn TORQUE FLIGHT shifted out hampering ALEEAH JET.
The
greyhound YALINGA was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off
hind leg and was humanely euthanized.

5 – 5th Grade Final 520m
GATE SLINGER, NOT LIKE TOMMY and DEEP DESPAIR were best to begin. Shortly after the start FLASH HOUDINI and VIRUNGA were tightened for racing room. Approaching the turn out of the front straight LORRY DRYVA shifted in and made contact with FLASH HOUDINI causing that greyhound to be checked and lose ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight FLASH HOUDINI and LORRY DRYVA came together.
The greyhound FLASH HOUDINI was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

6 – 4/5th Grade 520m
YOUR DEAL was best to begin. Approaching the turn out of the front straight ROYAL ALBERT and ROSDUE BOOMER came together causing both greyhounds to be checked. Shortly after OUR GOLD shifted out and made contact with ROYAL ALBERT causing that greyhound to be checked. RYLEE’S ROULETTE, PASSIVE PROTEST and ROSDUE BOOMER were all checked as a result of this incident.

GORILLA EYES was best to begin. SMASHNIAK CLASS slipped shortly after the start. Approaching the turn out of the front straight ANNIE ELLEN shifted in and as a consequence SPRING OUT clipped its heels and lost momentum. Shortly after GORILLA EYES and ANNIE ELLEN bumped causing ANNIE ELLEN to shift out and make contact with SILKY OAK which then shifted out and came into contact with SPRING MILLIE causing both SILKY OAK and SPRING MILLIE to be checked. Approaching the turn into the back straight SPRING OUT contacted the heels of ANNIE ELLEN, causing both greyhounds to be checked.

8 – 3/4th Grade 431m
SUPER LUIGI was best to begin. Approaching the turn into the back straight SPECIAL GIRL, FASHION ADVICE, KULU KAMBALDA, WILDASH WARRIOR and LIL’ BIT SPARKY all came together resulting in all greyhounds to be checked to varying degrees. SUPER LUIGI shifted out and raced wide rounding the home turn and into the front straight.

9 – 5th Grade 431m
MISS JAX, FLASH ZOE, ARK UP and BONNIE’S DREAM were best to begin. Approaching the turn into the back straight MISS JAX was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the back straight ARK UP and BONNIE’S DREAM came together resulting in BONNIE’S DREAM begin checked. Leading into the back straight BRAGA MCCOY contacted the heels of BONNIE’S DREAM resulting in BRAGA MCCOY being checked and lose ground. MISS JAX raced wide rounding the home turn.
The greyhound MISS JAX was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. The trainer Mr. B Yates explained that the greyhound had trailed well leading into today’s event and he expected a forward showing however, he was of the view that MISS JAX is best suited to being drawn wider and over a longer distance. He further stated that he supported the greyhound in today’s event. Stewards noted his explanation.

ON TIGHT LINES proved difficult to box. After consulting with trainer Mr. D Gilroy ON TIGHT LINES was deemed to be a ‘hard to box’ greyhound in future races. Even start. Shortly after the start EL CHAD was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight SPRING DODGER, SPLIT SYSTEM, EL CHAD and MAURY SPIRIT all came together causing each greyhound to be checked. Shortly after EL CHAD shifted out and made contact with MAURY SPIRIT causing that greyhound to be checked. Rounding the turn into the back straight ZAFONIC’S LADY and SMASHNIAK MARS came together resulting in SMASHNIAK MARS being checked. Approaching the turn into the home straight EL CHAD shifted out and contacted the heels of SMASHNIAK MARS causing EL CHAD to be hampered.
