The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.
Race 5 SHAYLOR GEORGE
Race 9 MAGIC IT UP Injured in running, off fore leg, 7 days
SUMMER GLORY was best to begin and KITBOOLOU BULLSI was slow. Shortly after the start CLASSY BAMQUIN and FONIC THUNDER collided. In the 1st turn TEMPO JET tightened CLASSY BAMQUIN. Shortly after TEMPO JET was tightened between CLASSY BAMQUIN and YAMANTO and shifted out colliding with SMASHNIAK HARE and FONIC THUNDER. All 3 greyhounds lost ground. CLASSY BAMQUIN was wide in the back straight.
Trainer Ms. J Viles was fined $50 under Rule 46 for presenting the greyhound TEMPO JET to race with the incorrect rug.
TRANSMEDIA was best to begin. Shortly after the start PENNYLESS, KITBOOLOU LUCY and COVET were tight and unbalanced. PENNYLESS was wide passing the catching pen. MAYWYN NEVER and TRANSMEDIA were wide in the back straight. PENNYLESS was wide through the top turn and the home straight. MAYWYN NEVER was wide in the home straight.

3 – Novice 431m
JAGGER LILLY was best to begin. Shortly after the start TOUCH OF CAJUN, DOOLEY’S SPRITE, TEETH GRIEF and FOCUS ME were tight and unbalanced. In the 1st turn HOOP DREAMS and TOUCH OF CAJUN collided heavily. Leaving the back straight STEALTH FIGHTER checked off heels. Entering the top turn HOOP DREAMS and DOOLEY’S SPRITE collided. HOOP DREAMS became unbalanced causing TOUCH OF CAJUN to collide and both greyhounds lost ground. TEETH GRIEF which was following was also inconvenienced.

4 – Novice 431m
SPRING AGUSTUS and MAYWYN MOOLA were best to begin. In the 1st turn FAMOUS FOR FUN, SHAYLOR SHANE, GALWAY SUPERSTAR and KAR BLU came together and became unbalanced. MAYWYN MOOLA and KAR BLU were wide in the back straight. In the home straight SPRING RAYMOND shifted in checking SCAR’S BROTHER.

5 – 5th Grade Heat 1 431m
TARA MARRIE was best to begin with BASHFUL BABE and SHAYLOR GEORGE slow. In the 1st turn MISS ELEGANCE checked off heels. Shortly after, BASHFUL BABE collided heavily with SHAYLOR GEORGE causing this greyhound to fall and take no further competitive part in the event. Leaving the 1st turn TIA TWO, MISS ELEGANCE and HE’S A HUNTER were tight. Through the top turn SMASHNIAK MARS checked off heels.
The greyhound SHAYLOR GEORGE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

6 – 5th Grade Heat 2 431m
CLASSY BARCY was slow. Shortly after the start SHAYLOR BELLE and MISS SHADOW came together forcing MISS SHADOW to shift out and check SHAYLOR NORRIS. Shortly after, SHAYLOR NORRIS shifted in coming together with SHAYLOR BELLE. Entering the back straight GUNNADOO RAIDER was checked and lost ground. In the back straight SNAKE GULLY shifted out tightening SHAYLOR BELLE which lost ground. Entering the top turn SNAKE GULLY was hampered on the heels of GALLANTRY. Through the top turn MISS SHADOW checked off heels. In the home straight SNAKE GULLY shifted out hampering SHAYLOR NORRIS.

7 – 4/5th Grade Final 431m
Even start. In the 1st turn SHE’S A NIRO, HER’S NOT HIS, PREMIER PLAYER and ZIPPING MANI all bumped. Entering the top turn SHE’S A NIRO improved onto the heels of PREMIER PLAYER and both greyhounds lost significant ground. In the top turn SWITCH BLADE tightened TWO SIZE’S ALL as it improved to its outside.

8 – 4/5th Grade 520m
Even start. Approaching the 1st turn BRAGA MCCOY checked off heels and hampered ARABIAN MELODY. Shortly after, DEEP DESPAIR shifted out tightening SITELLA, NEVER ENDS, FAR FROM FEAR and SPRING SHANGHAI; resulting in SPRING SHANGHAI and NEVER ENDS racing wide through the 1st turn and losing ground. Entering the back straight SPRING SHANGHAI improved onto the heels of NEVER ENDS and both greyhounds were checked.

9 – 5th Grade Heat 3 431m
COST A QUID was best to begin with MAGIC IT UP slow. In the 1st turn PREMIER BEAR checked off the heels of FYRE GAL who collided with MALI COVEK, which became severely unbalanced. Shortly after ROCK ON ROLLA and SMASH FOR FEAR were tight and MAGIC IT UP which was following was inconvenienced. Leaving the back straight MAGIC IT UP contacted the running rail and lost ground. Entering the top turn ROCK ON ROLLA and MALI COVEK checked off heels and were hampered with PREMIER BEAR also inconvenienced.
The
greyhound MAGIC IT UP was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the
off fore leg wrist and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

10 – 5th Grade Heat 4 431m
GLORIOUS WINTER was slow to begin. Shortly after the start MAGIC FLY HIGH, SHOT OF CAIN and MY EYES ONLY came together. Shortly after, KAMILAROI DUK and AL SENOR collided. Through the 1st turn ON TIGHT LINES, MY DIEGO, AL SENOR and KAMILAROI DUK were tight and unbalanced and AL SENOR lost ground colliding with MAGIC FLY HIGH. Entering the back straight MY EYES ONLY was tightened between GLORIOUS WINTER and SHOT OF CAIN and MY EYES ONLY and GLORIOUS WINTER lost ground. Leaving the back straight MY EYES ONLY shifted in tightening GLORIOUS WINTER.
