VETERINARY EXAMINATIONS

 

The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

The greyhound SHAYLOR BETTYLOU performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.50 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks.

 

Trainer Mr. C O’Donnell was fined $50 under Rule 33 for Non Production of registration papers for the greyhound CORELKO LASS.

 

Race 1 – Maiden 431m

CARLTON CREW was best to begin.  CARLTON CREW shifted in on the turn into the back straight resulting in PROMISES BLUE checking off its heels and becoming unbalanced.  HEZA SIZE UP shifted in on the turn into the back straight resulting in PROMISES BLUE, ROCKET’S ANGEL and MCCAW MCCAW all being tightened and losing considerable ground.  JAYMIE’S REVENGE checked off the heels of CARLTON CREW just prior to entering the back straight, resulting in JAYMIE’S REVENGE losing ground causing interference to HEZA SIZE UP.  Both JAYMIE’S REVENGE and HEZA SIZE UP became unbalanced and lost considerable ground as a result of the incident.  MCCAW MCCAW was wide in the back straight.

 

The greyhound JAYMIE’S REVENGE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 2 – Maiden 431m

DODGY DANCER and SNOW RUNNER were best to begin.  CYNO CANDY and SPRING SERENA were slow to begin.  DODGY DANCER and SNOW RUNNER bumped shortly after the start.  FUNKY TOWN shifted in shortly after the start tightening CORREEN’S LAD in onto FABULOUS TRAV, who in turn in onto SNOW RUNNER resulting in these 3 greyhounds being tightened and losing some ground.  CYNO CANDY checked off the heels of SNOW RUNNER on the turn into the back straight causing some inconvenience to FABULOUS TRAV.  CORREEN’S LAD and SPRING SERENA bumped heavily on the turn into the back straight, resulting in SPRING SERENA falling.  CORREEN’S LAD, CYNO CANDY and FABULOUS TRAV all lost ground as a result.  DODGY DANCER and FUNKY TOWN bumped entering the back straight.  DODGY DANCER shifted out across the heels of FUNKY TOWN on the turn into the home straight, resulting in DODGY DANCER racing very wide in the home straight.  CYNO CANDY and FABULOUS TRAV raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound SPRING SERENA was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near fore leg and was humanely euthanised.

 

Race 3 – Maiden 431m

NOT ANOTHA GINGA was best to begin.  NOT ANOTHA GINGA crossed from a wide position shortly after the start tightening MADDY’S RASCAL in onto CYNO SPOT onto ROCK THE VILLAGE in turn onto CYNO BIRD, resulting in those greyhounds being tightened and losing ground.  COUTA GODDESS suffered interference also as a result of the incident.  NOT ANOTHA GINGA checked off the heels of CYNO SPOT and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  ROCK THE VILLAGE checked CORELKO LASS, bumped on the turn into the front straight.  CYNO SPOT raced very wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound NOT ANOTHA GINGA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 4 – Novice 431m

TECHNO LEGEND was best to begin.  FABULOUS LENY and FAMOUS FOR FUN were slow to begin.  KITBOOLOU ADAM and GALWAY SUPERSTAR bumped shortly after the start.  SHINTARO STAR shifted down from a wide position bumping TECHNO LEGEND shortly after the start.  TECHNO LEGEND checked off the heels of SHINTARO STAR on the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to CLASSY MOVER.  CLASSY MOVER checked FABULOUS LENY and lost some ground entering the back straight.  TECHNO LEGEND lost ground for no apparent reason in the back straight.  KITBOOLOU ADAM and FABLOUS LENY bumped on the turn into the front straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  KITBOOLOU ADAM and GALWAY SUPERSTAR bumped on several occasions in the front straight.  CLASSY MOVER raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound CLASSY MOVER was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

The greyhound TECHNO LEGEND was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near hind and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

 

Race 5 – Novice 431m

HECTORMALEE was best to begin.  GALLANTRY was tightened for racing room and lost ground between BOLD AS BRASH and HECTORMALEE shortly after the start.  BOLD AS BRASH and GALLANTRY bumped shortly after the start resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  BOLD AS BRASH shifted in on the turn into the back straight tightening GALLANTRY in onto MISS FELIX, in turn onto SPRING BIG IRON, resulting in the 4 greyhounds losing considerable ground.  KAR BLU checked off the heels of DASHING CHARGER and lost ground towards the end of the back straight.  KAR BLU raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 6 – 4/5th Grade Heat 1 431m

BANK ON ME was best to begin.  LOAD ME UP, UP THE ATTITUDE and GOLDEN LOTUS bumped shortly after the start resulting in UP THE ATTITUDE and GOLDEN LOTUS losing some ground.  LOAD ME UP, KLOEIS PRIDE and TUKULA all bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in the 3 greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground causing some interference to BLUE SCORPION.  TUKULA, GOLDEN LOTUS and LOAD ME UP all bumped on the turn out of the back straight, resulting in the 3 greyhounds losing ground, causing interference to KLOEIS PRIDE.  TUKULA shifted in approaching the turn into the front straight resulting in GOLDEN LOTUS bumping it heavily causing both greyhounds to lose considerable ground.  BANK ON ME and UP THE ATTITUDE bumped just prior to the finish.

 

Race 7 – 4/5th Grade Heat 2 431m

Even start with OUT WEST marginally slow to begin.  MANYARA MISS and SPRING TWIG bumped shortly after the start.  SNOWBALL BAZZA, HABANA FLEX and RUM RAMBLER all bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in the 3 greyhounds becoming unbalanced and all losing ground, causing interference to ROYAL ALBERT, SPRING TWIG and MANYARA MISS.  MANYARA MISS checked off the heels of ROYAL ALBERT lost ground back onto SPRING TWIG. HABANA FLEX checked off the heels of ROYAL ALBERT and lost ground in the back straight.  MANYARA MISS and OUT WEST bumped in the front straight.

 

Race 8 – 5th Grade Final 431m

PEBBLE BAY was best to begin.  MAGIC IT UP was slow to begin.  TRANSMEDIA checked off the heels of PEBBLE BAY and lost ground on the turn into the back straight, resulting in interference to FABULOUS BILL and MAGIC IT UP.  MAGIC IT UP became unbalanced and lost considerable ground.  TWO BEERS was also inconvenienced as a result of the incident.  SPRING PLANET raced wide in the back straight.

 

The greyhound MAGIC IT UP was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 9 – 4/5th Grade Heat 3 431m

QUE SERA was best to begin.  RAZEN TOAST was tightened for racing room in between SPRING IT ON and LIL’ BIT SPARKY shortly after the start.  CHARLIE SPRITE, PREMIER BEAR and MR. MARAUDER bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in the 3 greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground causing interference to ON TIGHT LINES.  SPRING IT ON checked off the heels of QUE SERA and lost ground in the back straight.  RAZEN TOAST checked off the heels of CHARLIE SPRITE and lost ground in the back straight resulting in interference to ON TIGHT LINES.  MR. MARAUDER checked across the heels of SPRING IT ON and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  MR. MARAUDER and PREMIER BEAR bumped on the turn into the front straight.

 

Race 10 – 4/5th Grade Heat 4 431m

Even start.  SISTA TASHA was marginally slow.  KAMILAROI DUK, INSIDE PASS and SPANKY’S LEGEND bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to PRATER’S PROBLEM and SITELLA.  INSIDE PASS checked off the heels of KAMILAROI DUK and lost ground entering the back straight.  SPANKY’S LEGEND checked of the heels of KAMILAROI DUK and lost some ground on the turn out of the back straight. SPANKY’S LEGEND and KAMILAROI DUK bumped on the turn into the home straight resulting in SISTA TASHA checking off the heels of KAMILAROI DUK.  SPANKY’S LEGEND and KAMILAROI DUK bumped in the front straight.
