1.

GOODNA PRODUCE MAIDEN 520M

TORPEDO MAN was best to begin.  Shortly after THIRTY EIGHT shifted out tightening the running of FARMOR I KNOW.  Approaching the 1st turn FERNLEE STAR contacted the heels of SPRING DEAL and became momentarily unbalanced.  Leaving the 1st turn FARMOR I KNOW and SPRING DEAL collided.  Both greyhounds were checked and lost ground.  Over the final stages TORPEDO MAN and CYNO GENERAL bumped.

 

A post-race veterinary examination of CYNO GENERAL revealed no significant findings.

2.

CENTENARY DISPOSALS MAIDEN 520M

GO BLACK BIDDY and MAKE THE MOST were best to begin with MINDY’S DREAM slowest.  Through the 1st turn PARTY VILLAGE shifted in resulting in MIND’S DREAM being checked from heels.  Approaching the back turn MINDY’S DREAM brushed the running rail.  Over the concluding stages PARTY VILLAGE marred the running of GO BLACK BIDDY.  SPRING BLONDE raced wide for the majority.

 

Stewards advised trainer Ms. V Wisener that the greyhound PARTY VILLAGE would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 2nd offence, 3 months plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

KERWICK HOTEL MAIDEN FINAL 520M

WITCH HUNTER and TABBERER were best to begin.  ZABDON FERRARI began awkwardly.  Shortly after DASHING BRADSTA contacted the heels of WITCH HUNTER and became unbalanced.  Through the 1st turn DASHING BRADSTA was tightened and checked across heels of TABBERER and lost ground.  Leaving the 1st turn SMASH DAB checked across the heels of ARABIAN SHREDDER and lost its position.  WINSMIT which was following was inconvenienced.  CYNO SNIP raced wide in the back and home straights.

AJ VELLACOTT SERVICES NOVICE 520M

DUSTY WAY and RAISE ‘EM UP were slow to begin.  Into the 1st turn MAGIC SPARKLE shifted out making contact with RAISE ‘EM UP, which in turn bumped HIGHLY SEDUCTIVE resulting in HIGHLY SEDUCTIVE being inconvenienced and forced wider.  Leaving the 1st turn MAGIC SPARKLE improved onto the heels of THURSDAY WISH and lost ground.  Through the back turn ISA STAR commenced to weaken and finished at the tail of the field.

5.

MAX’S BARBER SHOP 5th GRADE 520M

SCAR’S BROTHER and HOUDINI HI were slow to begin.  Into the 1st turn SPRING OUT and HOUDINI HI collided and both became unbalanced.  Approaching the back turn SPRING OUT raced in restricted room being severely hampered and lost considerable ground.  SUNNYSIDE JAY raced wide for the majority.

 

A post-race veterinary examination of  SPRING OUT revealed no significant findings.

6.

JACE & LEE BARGAIN BUTCHERS 5th GRADE 520M

CUPPA TEA KIWI was best to begin with MAJOR GENERAL being slowest.  Shortly after LEHMAN BENZ checked across the heels of GIFTED ANGEL GIFTED ANGEL lost its position in this incident.  Approaching the 1st turn LEHMAN BENZ and MAJOR GENERAL bumped.  Both were momentarily inconvenienced.  Through the 1st turn GIFTED ANGEL checked across the heels of UNIQUE AFFAIR and lost ground.  Approaching the back turn BY GOLLY MOLLY shifted in tightening MAJOR GENERAL.  Rounding the back turn CUPPA TEA KIWI and UNIQUE AFFAIR collided with CUPPA TEA KIWI becoming unbalanced.  LEHMAN BENZ raced wide for the majority.

GOODNA RLFC OLD BOYS 4/5th GRADE 520M

LONESOME DUK was best to begin.  Shortly after the start ROYAL PRIZE, MINNIE IMPACT and KING SIZED all suffered interference and lost ground.  Into the 1st turn MISS GLENREAGH and ROYAL PRIZE resulting in MISS GLENREAGH losing ground.

 

The greyhound ROYAL PRIZE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

JO-ANN MILLER MP 5th GRADE FINAL 520M

OREO DELIGHT, BLITZ ‘EM and KAY OH were slow to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn DEEP DESPAIR, POCAHONTAS and CIGAR SAM raced tight, resulting in DEEP DESPAIR and POCAHONTAS becoming inconvenienced and losing considerable ground.  Through the 1st turn BLITZ ‘EM improved onto the heels of BEACH FRONT and as a consequence raced wide at that point.  MAYWYN WILL WIN and KAY OH collided in the home straight.

 

A post-race veterinary examination of  POCAHONTAS revealed no significant findings.

COUNCILLOR PAUL TULLY 4/5th GRADE 431M

SHEZA KEEN SIZE was best to begin with COST A QUID, URBAN STREET and PACIFIC CHAMP being slowest.  Leaving the 1st turn PACIFIC CHAMP appeared injured and took no further competitive part in the event.  URBAN STREET raced wide throughout.

 

The greyhound PACIFIC CHAMP was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was humanely euthanised.

GOODNA & DISTRICTS RLFC 5th GRADE 431M

PAW DIDEMIS was slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn TEMNICK, CHAMPAGNE BENZ and ULTIMATE STAR collided, resulting in TEMNICK and CHAMPAGNE BENZ both losing considerable ground.  Shortly after FEARSOME MISS and PAW DIDEMIS bumped.  Both were inconvenienced.  TEMNICK and ULTIMATE STAR both race wide for the majority.
