TRIALS

Stewards Trial 1 – 431m

The greyhound NOT ANOTHA GINGA performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.79 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

The greyhound MURSLEY BOUNCER performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.41 and is now cleared all tracks up to 431m only.

ISLA’S OPAL was best to begin.  On the 1st turn FARMOR I KNOW shifted in tightening the running of BELLI TIGER, BENMESSO, ELITE MARJ and JIVE BALE, resulting in BELLI TIGER, BELLI TIGER, ELITE MARJ and SLEDGE HAMMER all being checked and losing ground.  Leaving the 1st turn SLEDGE HAMMER checked across the heels of BENMESSO resulting in SLEDGE HAMMER to race wide for the rest of the event.

2.

SKY RACING MAIDEN 431M

CALAMITY JANE and ARTHUR SENOR were slow to begin.  Shortly after ARTHUR SENOR was tightened for room and lost its position.  Into the 1st turn SOUTH BRIDGE, SPRING MARSHALL, VELOCITY ALLY and FLAPPING GUMS raced tight and all suffered interference to various degrees,  VELOCITY ALLY, ARTHUR SENOR and MR. HESTON which were following all suffered severe interference resulting in these greyhounds falling and taking no real competitive part in the event.  Approaching the back turn MIGHTY NOVA was hampered and lost ground.

 

The greyhound VELOCITY ALLY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound MR. HESTON was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound ARTHUR SENOR was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near fore leg and was humanely euthanised.

ROSEWOOD & DISTRICT COMMUNITY BANK NOVICE 431M

FLASH ROSE was slow to begin.  Into the 1st turn DUTCHESS DOLLY and FARMOR DIVA were crowded and lost their positions.  Through the 1st turn ARABIAN STORY was bumped and lost ground.  FARMOR DIVA, FLASH ROSE and TOUCH OF CAJUN raced wide for the majority.

YOUR MAYBE RIGHT was best to begin.  AVOID DAMAGE and SENNI RICKY were slowest.  Shortly after BATTLE READY was tightened and lost its position.  Through the 1st turn STRIKE OIL and RHONDDA MINER bumped.  Both became unbalanced.  In the back straight CARLTON CREW checked across the heels of BATTLE READY.  Both greyhounds suffered interference and lost considerable ground.  RHONDDA MINER raced wide for the majority.

SCOTT O’TOOLE PAINTER 5th GRADE HEAT 1 431M

DRAGON DANCER and ONE ZERO SEVEN were best to begin.  Into the 1st turn TINY TEMPAH was crowded for room and lost its position.  Leaving the 1st turn BANG ON TARGET checked across the heels of PRIM AND PRIZZY and DRAGON DANCER checked across the heels of ONE ZERO SEVEN.  DRAGON DANCER and BANG ON TARGET raced wide throughout.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. A Stevens that the greyhound BANG ON TARGET would have a ‘hard to box’ embargo placed against its name.

O’REILLY PET FOODS 5th GRADE HEAT 2 431M

MAYWYN WILL WIN was best to begin.  ZINZAN BROOKE and SMASHNIAK STAR were slowest.  Shortly after CAPTAIN’S KNOCK was blocked for clear running.  Through the 1st turn ZINZAN BROOKE and SLASHIN’ PETE bumped causing SLASHIN’ PETE to be shifted into the running line of SPILLING SECRETS and WALLOON WIZARD.  SLASHIN’ PETE, WALLOON WIZARD and SPILLING SECRETS all became unbalanced and lost considerable ground.  Approaching the back turn SMASHNIAK STAR improved onto the heels of WALLOON WIZARD.  Both became momentarily inconvenienced.  SPILLING SECRETS and MAYWYN WILL WIN raced wide for the majority.

C2C CONSTRUCTIONS 4/5th GRADE 520M

EL CHAD and MURBAH GOLD were best to begin.  LALIQUE and DASH OF FAITH were slowest.  Shortly after DASH OF FAITH contacted the heels of VENETIAN RESULTS and lost ground.  Into the 1st turn PETITE ZIP ZIP clipped heels of MR. REALITY, blundered and lost considerable ground.  VENETIAN RESULTS which was following was inconvenience as a result.  Through the back turn EL CHAD checked off the heels of MURBAH GOLD and lost ground.  VENETIAN RESULTS and DASH OF FAITH raced wide for the majority.

 

The greyhound VENETIAN RESULTS was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

GREG STERNBERG VET SURGEON 3/4th GRADE 431M

BRAGA MCCOY was slow to begin.  Into the 1st turn all runners suffered interference except BRAGA MCCOY.  As a result FABRICATED, CHEEKY CHEECH and LACHIE LYNDAN all lost ground as a result.  CHEEKY CHEECH and BRAGA MCCOY raced wide in both the straights.

ROSEWOOD & DISTRICT COMMUNITY BANK 5th GRADE FINAL 431M

DOUBLE STORM and STUBBORN STATE were slow to begin.  Shortly after STUBBORN STATE improved onto the heels of WILDASH WILDBOY and lost ground.  Into the 1st turn MAYWYN ZILCH, WILDASH WILDBOY, PATRONUS and MIRANDA ROSE HI all raced wide becoming unbalanced.  MIRANDA ROSE HI and ZABDON VUITTON were taken wide as a result.  Approaching the back turn STUBBORN STATE lost momentum when hampered for room and lost ground.  WILDASH WILDBOY and PATRONUS raced wide for the majority.

ISA STAR was best to begin with EYE SPYED YA being slowest.  Shortly after BIG BAGO and GUMTREE KID collided.  Both became unbalanced.  Leaving the 1st turn EYE SPYED YA improved onto the heels of BIG BAGO.  Both were inconvenienced.  HER’S NOT HIS raced wide in the back straight.  SIZE WONT MATTER raced wide in the home straight.

 

Trainer of SIZE WONT MATTER Mrs. H Wendt was advised that her greyhound would have a ‘hard to box’ embargo placed against its name.
