RACE REPORTS

Even start.  On jumping ALOTA THOUGHT shifted out which tightened the racing room of LUCY MOO and JUST SIZE.  CHANDON HAWKE was hampered as a result of this incident.  Shortly after the start ALOTA THOUGHT and IMA NECROMANCER collided resulting in both greyhounds being checked.  Approaching the turn into the back straight ALOTA THOUGHT and ITSA PATCHY collided resulting in ITSA PATCHY being checked and losing ground.  JUST SIZE and CHANDON HAWKE which were trailing were checked as a consequence.  In the back straight JAYDEN’S A STAR was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight DODSON was tightened for racing room, severely checked and fell as a consequence.  ALOTA THOUGHT and LUCY MOO were severely checked as a result of this incident.  DODSON took no further competitive part in the race.

 

The greyhound DODSON was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

SKY RACING MAIDEN 520M

Even start.  Shortly after the start NOIRE CHERIE and MOVER MARATHON collided resulting in both greyhounds being checked and lose momentum.  Leaving the front straight NOIRE CHERIE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight SPRING ABBY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Entering the back straight SEA LEGS and MOVIE MARATHON collided resulting in both greyhounds being checked and losing ground.  SPRING ABBY which was trailing was checked as a consequence.  Leaving the back straight ESSENTIALLY PURE was momentarily tightened for racing room and was hampered as a consequence.

 

The greyhound SEA LEGS was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

ROSEWOOD & DISTRICT COMMUNITY BANK NOVICE 431M

ALOTA CONTROL was best to begin.  BOB EFFECTS was slow away.  Approaching the turn into the back straight BACK ON TRACK was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  FROSTY BROWN and LITE ME UP which were racing to its outside were checked as a consequence.

 

Trainer Mr. K. Mackenroth reported that the muzzle on BOB EFFECTS became displaced during the event.

LUCKY SALLY was best to begin.  Shortly after the start ROSE A BELLA and MCCAW MCCAW were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the front straight BATTY LOVES BEER shifted out which momentarily hampered the running of ROSE A BELLA and MCCAW MCCAW.  Entering the back straight and for the majority of the back straight and again into the home straight ROSE A BELLA marred the running of MCCAW MCCAW resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked and finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field.  Leaving the back straight SUPERFLUOUS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

 

Stewards advised trainer Ms. K Hoggan’s representive that the greyhound ROSE A BELLA would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m.

ROSEWOOD & DISTRICT COMMUNITY BANK 4/5th GRADE 431M

DOOLEY’S HOBO, BIG WINSTON and THRILLA MACHINE were best to begin.  Not far after the start SPRING DODGER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  CHEEKY CHEECH was hampered as a consequence.  Entering the back straight DOOLEY’S HOBO was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  BIG WINSTON and SPRING RAYMOND which were racing to its outside were checked as a consequence.  Out of the back straight BIG WINSTON and CHEEKY CHEECH collided.  In the front straight into the run to the finish FYRE GAL was momentarily blocked for a clear run, checked and lost momentum.

BEACH FRONT, ASTOUND YA and MURBAH GOLD were best to begin.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight OH THAT’S NICE was tightened for racing room and momentarily hampered.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight ASTOUND YA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  BEACH FRONT, ALOTA AMY, STEEL ROSE and OH THAT’S NICE which were trailing were checked as a consequence.  Leaving the back straight A LOT AMY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight FAR FROM FEAR and HURRICANE CHANCE bumped.

DARCY’S FANTASY was best to begin.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight VENETIAN RESULTS raced wide.

CUPPA TEA KIWI was best to begin.  Shortly after the start KURO LOU and HOUDINI HI were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the front straight BUSH SPIRIT was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

Even start.  Approaching the turn into the back straight GALLARI and RAGING THUNDER were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

O’REILLY PET FOODS 5th GRADE 431M

HEZA SIZE UP, ALEEAH JET and TWO BEERS were best to begin.  Shortly after the start SHE’S A FOX bumped with CRY LATER and was checked and lost ground as a consequence.  Approaching the turn into the back straight ALOTA FUTURE, ALEEAH JET and TWO BEERS were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Entering the back straight CRY LATER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  HOPPING HOUDINI which was trailing was severely checked and fell taking no further competitive part in the race.

 

The greyhound HOPPIN HOUDINI was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
