COURT PLUMBING MAIDEN HEAT 1 520M

SWIFT NIMROD and BRONCO BOY were best to begin.  AMUS UNLEASHED and UPBEAT TEMPO were slow to begin.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight BY CRIKEY improved onto the hindquarters of WILD MISS JUDY, was severely checked and fell as a consequence and took no further part in the race.  WILD MISS JUDY was severely checked and lost considerable ground as a result of this incident.  Shortly after AMUS UNLEASHED and UPBEAT TEMPO bumped.

The greyhound UPBEAT TEMPO underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  When questioned over the performance of the greyhound trainer Mr. T List informed stewards that the greyhound races best when drawn to the inside boxes and whilst after suffering some minor interference rounding the 1st turn he was somewhat disappointed with its overall performance.  Mr. List informed stewards that it was his intention to race the greyhound at the Non TAB tracks until it can gain confidence and he could be assured that the greyhound will raced in the desired manner.  Stewards whist were of the view that the performance was poor they accepted Mr. List’s undertaking to not race at TAB meetings in the near future.

SEYMOUR QUALIFY ROOFING 5th GRADE HEAT 3 520M

The ‘all clear’ was delayed to allow stewards the opportunity to view the replay of the race in particular the front straight on the 1st occasion where a bird was on the track.  After viewing the official race footage stewards were satisfied that no greyhound opportunity to chase the lure was materially prejustised and therefore gave the ‘all clear’.

Rounding the turn out of the front straight CHEEKY CHEECH and NATURAL LAD collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Shortly after HERE FOR YOU and ALPHA NIKE collided resulting in HERE FOR YOU shifting out and colliding with LOGGER COUNTY.  All 3 greyhounds were checked and lost ground as a result of this incident.  Approaching the turn into the back straight MADAM LOOPSY and FIERY BENZ collided resulting in MADAM LOOPSY being checked and lose ground.  Leaving the back straight ALPHA NIKE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  In the front straight during the latter stages of the race HERE FOR YOU turned its head outwards in the direction of CHEEKY CHEECH and failed to chase the lure with due commitment.

Stewards advised trainer Mr. P Ruetschi that the greyhound HERE FOR YOU would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.
