1.			WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM MAIDEN HEAT 1 431M The greyhound TINY TAPPER underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. Even start with the exception of AURIGA RAVEN and BIG BAD BOB which were slow to begin. Entering the first turn TINY TAPPER was tightened for room and severely checked. AURIGA RAVEN and BIG BAD BOB which were trailing were checked to varying degrees as a result of this incident. Entering the turn out of the back straight YEAH NAH YEAH was tightened for room and checked. Rounding the turn into the front straight NOIRE CHERIE checked outwards across the heels of MR. BELLISSIMO and collided with SLIP MY MIND resulting in that runner to be checked. Shortly after SLIP MY MIND shifted inwards and collided with NOIRE CHERIE resulting in both runners to be checked. AURIGA RAVEN was wide in the back straight. TINY TAPPER was wide in the front straight.

2.			SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 431M The greyhound NEED SOME SPEED underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. LOVED UP was marginally slow to begin. FABULOUS SHOW and RANGER DANGER were slow to begin. At the start and through into the first turn LOVED UP shifted inwards and bumped FABULOUS SHOW on a number of occasions. Through the first turn FABULOUS SHOW shifted outwards and collided with LOVED UP resulting in LOVED UP to be severely checked, fall and took no further competitive part in the event. FABULOUS SHOW was checked as a consequence. SPRING NAKANO and NIKITA’S GLAMOUR which were racing to their outside were checked to varying degrees as a result of this incident. The greyhound LOVED UP underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound FABULOUS SHOW underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

3.	ALPHA FINANCIAL SERVICES MAIDEN FINAL 431M Even start with the exception of AURIGA BINDI, DORIE’S PICK and STING ‘EM WASP which were marginally slow to begin. Shortly after the start SPRING ERNIE shifted in and collided with ME HAPPY resulting in both runners to be hampered. Entering the first turn BACK ON TRACK shifted inwards and collided with TINY VIKING resulting in that runner to be severely checked. POUNCING LILIE which was racing to their outside was checked and shifted outwards on the turn as a result of this incident. ME HAPPY which was trailing was hampered as a result. Entering the back straight TINY VIKING was tightened for room and checked. Shortly after ME HAPPY shifted inwards and collided with POUNCING LILIE resulting in both runners to be checked. Entering the turn out of the back straight ME HAPPY shifted inwards and tightened the running of TINY VIKING resulting in both runners to be severely checked. DORIE’S PICK which was trailing was checked and forced wider into the turn as a result. Shortly after POUNCING LILIE was tightened for room and checked. The greyhound ME HAPPY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound TINY VIKING underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards questioned trainer Mr. T Brett with regards to the performance of the greyhound, in particular the irregular betting activity surrounding the greyhound. When questioned Mr. Brett stated that he expected the greyhound to improve from its previous performances due to being drawn into a more favourable box however, the interference suffered on the first turn and the turn out of the back straight were decisive factors in the greyhounds final finishing position. He further stated that after falling at Albion Park on 30 October 2016 and receiving early interference today the greyhound might be slightly field shy. Mr. Brett did support the greyhound in today’s event.

4.	WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM NOVICE 431M ON THE WALL was best to begin. LORD LACHLAN was slow to begin. Entering the first turn HEZA NOIR and VELOCITY ALLY were tightened for room and checked. TOO MANY BILLS, SPRING LAUREN and BIG DIPPA which were trailing were all checked as a result of this incident. TOO MANY BILLS and HEZA NOIR were wide in the back straight. Entering the turn out of the back straight HEZA NOIR was tightened for room and momentarily hampered. HEZA NOIR was wide in the front straight. The greyhound TOO MANY BILLS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to be suffering from heat stress and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

Entering the first turn BENTAXLE and SMASHNIAK STORM collided resulting in both runners to be checked. HURRICANE CHANCE which was racing to their outside was hampered and raced wide around the turn as a result of this incident. Rounding the turn into the back straight JUST SIZE was tightened for room and checked. Entering the turn out of the back straight NOT ANOTHA GINGA shifted inwards and tightened the running of LIGHTNING WHITE resulting in that runner to be checked. Shortly after HURRICANE CHANCE was tightened for room and momentarily hampered.

6.	O’REILLY PET FOOD 5^th GRADE HEAT 1 520M Even start with the exception of the MAYWYN’S YING which was slow to begin. Entering the first turn JULIE SIZE checked outwards across the heels of TURN AND BURN and collided with SCAR’S BROTHER resulting in both runners to be checked and raced wide into the turn. Shortly after TURN AND BURN collided with RIGHT AS RAIN resulting in RIGHT AS RAIN to be checked. ALPHA HECTOR which was racing to their outside was checked and forced wider around the turn as a result. Rounding the turn into the back straight ALPHA HECTOR shifted inwards and collided with RIGHT AS RAIN resulting in ALPHA HECTOR to be checked. Entering the turn out of the back straight TIZZYWING was tightened for room and checked. Rounding the turn into the front straight JULIE SIZE and TIZZYWING bumped resulting in that runner to be checked. Entering the front straight MAYWYN’S YING and ALPHA HECTOR collided resulting in both runners to be checked.

At the start DREAM OF SPEED and SIZEABLE collided resulting in both runners to be checked. Shortly after the start MAYWYN’S COPY and CAKE OF SOAP bumped resulting in both runners to be hampered. ALPHA DAENERYS which was trailing was checked as a result. Entering the first turn CAKE OF SOAP bumped ALPHA DAENERYS resulting in that runner to be hampered and race wide into the turn. Shortly after DREAM OF SPEED improved onto the heels of SIZEABLE and was checked as a result. Through the first turn DREAM OF SPEED checked out across the heels of ASTIN’S WARRIOR. Rounding the turn into the back straight MAYWYN’S COPY checked out across the heels of CAKE OF SOAP. ALPHA DAENERYS which was tailing as checked as a result. Entering the turn out of the back straight FROSTY AJAY shifted inwards and collided with SIZEABLE resulting in FROSTY AJAY to be checked. DREAM OF SPEED was wide in the back straight.

8.	C2C CONSTRUCTIONS 4/5^th GRADE 431M KAMILAROI DUK was best to begin. CUT THE CAKE was slow to begin. Shortly after the start GAGAN and GAGAN CEE JAY bumped resulting in both runners to be hampered. Entering the back straight GUN LEGACY was tightened for room and checked. Entering the turn out of the back straight SPRING SHELLEY shifted inwards and contacted the hindquarters of GAGAN resulting in SPRING SHELLEY to be checked. Over the concluding stages of the event GAGAN CEE JAY shifted out and bumped MAGGIE BENZ resulting in that runner to be hampered.

Entering the first turn CAKE IT ON collided with GAGAN NANCY resulting in CAKE IT ON to be severely checked and forced wider into the turn. Entering the turn out of the back straight YOU JANE shifted inwards and collided with MONLOR KIM resulting in YOU JANE to be severely checked, fall and take no further competitive part in the event. GAGAN NANCY which was trailing was checked as a result. GOTCHA CHA CHA and CAKE IT ON were wide in the front straight. The greyhound YOU JANE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound CAKE IT ON underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Rounding the turn into the back straight SMASHNIAK STAR and GREAT KNOCK THAT collided resulting in SMASHNIAK STAR to be checked. SPRING TRIXIE which was trailing were severely checked as a result. SPRING TRIXIE was wide in the front straight.
