BLAZE ROSE HI was slow to begin and HEARTLAND FLASH slipped at the start and was very slow to begin.  Entering the first turn AURIGA CINDY was tightened for room and checked.  Through the first turn READY CETTE and HIPSTER were tightened for room and severely checked.  SPOT ROSE HI and SENTRY’S CALL which were trailing were checked as a consequence.  In the back straight SENTRY’S CALL was wide.  Entering the top turn READY CETTE was tightened for room and momentarily hampered.  HIPSTER which was trailing checked off that runner’s heels.  Rounding the turn into the front straight READY CETTE and BLAZE ROSE HI collided resulting in both runners to be checked.

 

The greyhound HEARTLAND FLASH underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 431M

AURIGA PIXIE was best to begin and PHONICS was slowly away.  Through the first turn WHITE EAGLE and YOU ARE HERE were tightened for room and hampered.  In the back straight BELLA CETTE was wide.  Entering the top turn WHITE EAGLE improved onto the heels of AURIGA PIXIE resulting in both runners to be checked.  Rounding the turn into the front straight AURIGA PIXIE was tightened for room and checked.  PHONICS which was trailing checked off that runner’s heels.  Over the concluding stages of the event AURIGA PIXIE checked off heels.

 

The greyhound AURIGA PIXIE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

SUCH AS I, THERE’S A FOOL and YOU CALLED were best to begin.  Rounding the turn into the back straight CZARNY an YOU CALLED collided resulting in YOU CALLED to be checked.  In the back straight SUCH AS I was wide.  Leaving the back straight SUNSHINE SQUARE improved onto the heels of CZARNY resulting in SUNSHINE SQUARE to be checked.  Through the top turn YOU CALLED was tightened for room, checked and shifted outwards colliding with SUNSHINE SQUARE resulting in both runners to lose ground and race wide around the turn.  In the home straight SUCH AS I and SUNSHINE SQUARE were wide.

LOGAN COUNTY, SPRING POLLY and SNOZZSTA were best to begin with SHARP SONGAR slowly away.  Approaching the first turn TIGI BENZ and UP THE HEAT were tightened for room and checked.  Through the first turn TIGI BENZ contacted the running rail and was hampered as a result.  Rounding the turn into the back straight SPRING POLLY collided with SNOZZSTA resulting in that runner to be checked.  Entering the top turn TIGI BENZ was tightened for room and checked.  Entering the front straight BACK ON TRACK checked off heels.

 

The greyhound TIGI BENZ underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Even start.  Approaching the first turn CYNO MIRAGE, FANCY FREEL and SLIP MY MIND were tightened for room and checked.  Through the first turn MAKE TODAY COUNT was tightened for room, checked and shifted outwards.  Leaving the back straight SLIP MY MIND and FANCY FREEL bumped resulting in both runners to be momentarily hampered.  Through the top turn MAKE TODAY COUNT was tightened for room and checked and shifted outwards.

FARMOR I KNOW was slow to begin.  Through the first turn KIKEM STORMY and SAMANTHA BENZ were tightened for room and checked.  Leaving the back straight ENKA ALLEN was tightened for room, checked and shifted inwards resulting in KIKEM STORMY to be checked as a consequence.

 

The greyhound FARMOR I KNOW underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

COSMIC YESSAM was slow to begin.  In the front straight on the first occasion GOTTA BE BLACK was tightened for room and checked.  Shortly after DU HAST was tightened for room, checked and shifted inwards.  MO STRADAMUS which was trailing that runner was tightened for room, made contact with the running rail and was checked as a consequence.  Entering the first turn GOTTA BE BLACK, DUSKY SILK and SPRING TRIXIE were tightened for room, severely checked and forced out wide on the turn as a consequence.  Entering the back straight MEGSIE MAC checked off heels.  Entering the top turn DU HAST improved onto the heels of MEGSIE MAC resulting in both runners to be checked.  DUSKY SILK which was trailing was checked as a result.  In the back straight SPRING TRIXIE was wide.

 

The greyhound MO STRADAMUS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

NACEY’S HERO was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start KLOEIS PRIDE was tightened for room and checked.  Through the first turn HARRY BAILEY, THIS TIME MADDIE, SPRING BONANZA and MAGICAL YESSAM were tightened for room and checked to varying degrees.  In the back straight TASER SHOCK commenced to give ground and finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field.  HARRY BAILEY which was trailing that runner was hampered as a result.  SPRING BONANZA was wide in the back straight.

 

The greyhound TASER SHOCK underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

MAYWYN WILL WIN was best to begin with HALF MINE marginally slow to begin.  Approaching the first turn NAOMI ROSE HI was tightened for room and momentarily hampered.  In the back straight SPRING NAKANO and HALF MINE were wide.  Entering the top turn NAOMI ROSE HI was tightened for room and checked.  Shortly after DARK SMIFFY was tightened for room and hampered.  In the home straight HALF MINE was wide.

LOTS OF TIME, CYNO STEIN, SPRING DOLLY and RHONDDA MINER were best to begin.  Rounding the turn into the back straight HURRICANE CHANCE and ME TARZAN were tightened for room and hampered.  Leaving the back straight WHAT A MESS was tightened for room and checked.  ME TARZAN which was trailing was checked as a consequence.
