Even start with VEGAS BOY and EMMY slow to begin.  Shortly after the start EMMY was tightened for racing room and hampered.  In the 1st turn STAR RISE and GALWAY BLUEBIRD collided resulting in GALWAY BLUEBIRD to lose ground.  VEGAS BOY which was trailing was checked and hampered.  At the same time STAR RING, EMMY and GALWAY HYPERACT collided resulting in EMMY and GALWAY HYPERACT to lose ground.  Entering the top turn EMMY and VEGAS BOY collided and bumped and both greyhounds were hampered.  Leaving the top turn EMMY and STAR RING collided resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the home straight STAR RING, EMMY and GALWAY HYPERACT all collided resulting in GALWAY HYPERACT and EMMY to lose ground.  In the back straight GALWAY HYPERACT and EMMY ran wide.  In the home straight GALWAY HYPERACT, EMMY and STAR RING ran wide.

 

The greyhound STAR RING underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. G Friend and he advised that the greyhound may have been a bit field shy and hasn’t trialled here.

 

The greyhound EMMY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. K Pasterfield and he advised stewards that the greyhound is not suited to this box and did not support the greyhound.

SKY RACING NOVICE 431M

WATER BOY, GALWAY EAGLE and ASCILAO were best to begin with ME HAPPY and SNOW GIRL slow.  Shortly after the start SHADOW EDGE was tightened for racing room and hampered.  In the 1st turn SHADOW EDGE, SNOW GIRL and ME HAPPY all collided resulting in SNOW GIRL to lose ground.  GALWAY EAGLE which was trailing clipped heels, shifted in colliding with WATER BOY and DARK JEDDA resulting in all greyhounds to lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the back straight DARK JEDDA and GALWAY EAGLE bumped.  At the same time SHADOW EDGE clipped heels and lost ground.  In the top turn SHADOW EDGE, SNOW GIRL, GALWAY EAGLE and ASICLAO all collided resulting in SHADOW EDGE and ASICLAO to lose ground.  Leaving the top turn SHADOW EDGE clipped heels and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the home straight WATER BOY and ASICLAO collided and both lost ground.  In the home straight WATER BOY and SNOW GIRL collided on numerous occasions resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  SHADOW EDGE which was trailing was checked and lost ground.

 

The greyhound SHADOW EDGE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

UNQUE KALEESI and ABBY NORMAL were best to begin.  Shortly after the start THURSDAY WISH clipped heels and lost ground.  In the 1st turn KAPPA NU and SPRING SHANAE collided resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the back straight KAPPA NU and HARA’S SAM bumped.  At the same time DUSTY WAY clipped heels and lost ground.  Leaving the top turn THURSDAY WISH and HARA’S SAM collided resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered.

 

The greyhound KAPPA NU underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

BOGART BLEND was best to begin.  Shortly after the start HER’S NOT HIS, HARRY BENZ and JANE’S JEZABEL all collided resulting in all greyhounds to lose ground.  In the 1st turn HER’S NOT HIS and JANE’S JEZABEL collided resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  At the same time MAYWYN’S YING clipped heels and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the back straight SHAYLOR CLEDUS got on the hindquarters of LADY CORSAIR resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  At the same time HER’S NOT HIS was tightened for racing room and lost ground.

 

The greyhound HARRY BENZ underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

ARE YOU THERE, BOOM WARRIOR and SCAR’S BROTHER all best to begin with JOHN BOY BETRO and BENTAXLE slow.  In the 1st turn JOHN BOY BETRO and BENTAXLE collided resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the back straight BOOM WARRIOR was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  HARA’S HOOK which was trailing was checked and lost ground.  Entering the back straight JOHN BOY BETRO and BENTAXLE collided resulting in BENTAXLE to be hampered and JOHN BOY BETRO to lose significant ground.  Rounding the turn into the home straight REFLECTED got on the hindquarters of COLD NIGHTS resulting in COLD NIGHTS to lose ground.

 

The greyhound JOHN BOY BETRO underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side wrist and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

GUTENBERG was best to begin with BINTANG LAURIE and GALLEON slow.  Shortly after the start IONISATION and ROSDUE GOANNA bumped and both greyhounds were hampered.  In the 1st turn BINTANG LAURIE and REIUYN CHAAI collided resulting in BINTANG LAURIE to lose ground.  At the same time JUST MY SIZE and GALLEON collided resulting in JUST MY SIZE to shift out and lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the back straight BINTANG LAURIE and IONISATION collided resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the home straight BINTANG LAURIE clipped heels losing ground.  ROSDUE GOANNA ran wide in the front and back straights.

 

The greyhound BINTANG LAURIE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Even star with MAYWYN PETTYCASH and BOGIE TEEJAY slow.  In the 1st turn MAYWYN PETTYCASH, SHEZA GOOD SIZE, TRY COMB and BOGIE TEEJAY all collided resulting in TRY COMB to lose ground and all other greyhounds to be hampered.  Rounding the turn into the back straight BOGIE TEEJAY and SHEZA GOOD SIZE collided resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  In the back straight SHEZA GOOD SIZE clipped heels and lost ground.  In the back straight MAYWYN PETTYCASH ran wide.  Leaving the top turn TRY COMB stumbled and was hampered.

 

The greyhound TRY COMB underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

CHEEKY CHEECH was best to begin with a FARMOR CHIPS and RUNAWAY KITTY slow.  Shortly after the start MAKE TODAY COUNT, BURNING OAK, RUNAWAY KITTY and FARMOR CHIPS collided resulting in RUNAWAY KITTY, BURNING OAK and MAKE TODAY COUNT to lose ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight BURNING OAK and RUNAWAY KITTY collided resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  At the same time FARMOR CHIPS was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  Leaving the turn into the back straight FABRE FORCE shifted out colliding with a CHEEKY CHEECH resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  In the back straight RUNAWAY KITTY got on the hindquarters of MAKE TODAY COUNT resulting in both greyhounds to lose significant ground.  In the top turn RUNAWAY KITTY and MAKE TODAY COUNT both collided resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered.  In the top turn RUNAWAY KITTY and MAKE TODAY COUNT both collided and both greyhounds were hampered.  Rounding the turn into the front straight CHEEKY CHEECH clipped heels resulting in this greyhound to lose ground.  At the same time MAKE TODAY COUNT and RUNAWAY KITTY collided on numerous occasions resulting in both greyhounds to lose more ground.

 

The greyhound MAKE TODAY COUNT underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound RUNAWAY KITTY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound GITCHA ROSES underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the tail and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

LITE ME UP was best to begin with SAMANTHA BENZ very slow.  Shortly after the start ROSDUE SPRITE, ODESSA and ACE all collided resulting in ODESSA to lose ground.  In the 1st turn ODESSA, LITE ME UP, CALL ME AUSSIE and IMPOSSIBLE all collided resulting in ODESSA and LITE ME UP to lose ground and SAMANTHA BENZ, which was trailing, checked and lost ground.  In the top turn LITE ME UP and SAMANTHA BENZ bumped and both were hampered.  Leaving the top turn IMPOSSIBLE clipped heels and lost ground.  Entering the turn into the home straight LITE ME UP and IMPOSSIBLE collided resulting in LITE ME UP to lose ground.

RAMBLIN’ ROSE and ABELE were best to begin with DUCKS AND DRAKE slow.  In the 1st turn DUCKS AND DRAKE was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the back straight DUCKS AND DRAKE and KYLE THE TANK collided resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  Entering the back straight RAMBLIN’ ROSE clipped heels and became unbalanced, ran wide and lost ground.  Rounding the top turn LUCKMAN clipped the heels of ABELE resulting in ABELE to lose ground.  At the same time DUCKS AND DRAKE shifted out colliding with CYNO STEIN and SINGLETON resulting in DUCKS AND DRAKE and CYNO STEIN to lose ground.
