MAIDEN HEAT 1 431M WILDASH
WILLOW was best to begin. Shortly
after the start SPRING COMMAND and TOPAZ TAN collided resulting in both
greyhounds to be momentarily hampered.
Approaching the turn into the back straight WAY TO WITCHES and
LARRIKAN LASS collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose
ground. Entering the front straight
WAY TO WITCHES shifted out which hampered the running of CASEY WHISPER. |

2 431M STAR RISE, MAKING CENTS, SAIL SURFER and KALANI KARL were
best to begin. DAZE LIKE THIS was slow
to begin. Through the 1st
turn ZAZU’S HEADACHE and KALANI KARL collided. Approaching the turn into the back straight
DAZE LIKE THESE and SAIL SURFER collided resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and lose ground. KALANI KARL
which was trailing was checked as a consequence. In the back straight DAZE LIKE THESE and
KALANI KARL collided on a number of occasions. Approaching the turn out of the back
straight DAZE LIKE THESE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. |

WILL TO WIN collided. Through the 1st
turn WHITE EAGLE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Entering the back straight HAY MISS KNOCKA
was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the front
straight SPRING BENNY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. The greyhound
WILL TO WIN underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent
injuries were found. |

NOVICE 431M OPTIMYSTIC, SNOW GIRL, DORREGO and MADIES were best to
begin. Through the 1st turn
BACK ON TRACK and WILDASH DIVA collided resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and lose ground. MADIES which
was racing to the outside of WILDASH DIVA was checked as a consequence. Entering the back straight SURF CATCHER and
MADIES collided resulting in MADIES to be momentarily hampered. Approaching the turn into the front
straight BACK ON TRACK checked across the heels of SNOW GIRL and was
momentarily hampered. The muzzle on
WILDASH DIVA became displaced during the event. Trainer Mr. D Single was
advised to take the necessary action to prevent a reoccurrence. |

TYRE REPAIRS 4/5th GRADE 431M Even start with the exception of ADHARA STEEL which was
marginally slow to begin. Shortly
after the start GLOBAL DEEJAY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Shortly after CELEBRITY BABE
and WILDASH BAM BAM collided. Through
the 1st turn WILDASH BAM BAM and VELOCITY CLOVER collided. Entering the back straight CHEEKY CHEECH
shifted out which hampered the running of CELEBRITY BABE. Approaching the turn into the front
straight WITHCOTT FLYER and CELEBRITY BABE collided. SPRING LAUREN raced wide over the various
stages of the race. The greyhound CELEBRITY BABE underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. When questioned over the greyhound’s
performance trainer’s representative Mr. N Chandler said the greyhound had
been racing well at Albion Park over the 395m distance where it had won its
previous 5 starts. He said that it
normally leads in its races and requires open spaces to gallop freely as the
greyhound is not overly strong when being crowded in its race. He stated that the greyhound had worked
well leading up to today’s race and the connections were expecting a forward
showing however, did not support the greyhound which is their usual betting
activity. He further stated that it
would be their intention to return CELEBRITY BABE to race at Albion Park over
the 395m where it had been successful in the past. The greyhound GLOBAL DEEJAY underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near
fore toe and was stood down for a period of 14 days. |

begin. Shortly after the start SECOND
GEAR and BOGIE TEEJAY collided resulting in BOGIE TEEJAY to be checked and
lose ground. through the 1st
turn CAZORLA and BOGIE TEEJAY collided resulting in BOGIE TEEJAY to be
checked and lose ground. The greyhound BOGIE TEEJAY underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound LATE SHOW SNOWY underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

SURGEON 5th GRADE 431M Even start with the exception of BINTANG LAURIE which was
marginally slow to begin. Approaching
the 1st turn ARE YOU THERE, BENTAXLE, FERAL LAD, BINTANG LAURIE
and RHONDDA MINER all raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to be checked
to varying degrees. Through the 1st
turn SPRING SHELLEY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. KYLE THE TANK which was racing to its
outside was checked as a consequence and lost ground. Approaching the turn out of the back
straight BINGTANG LAURIE and KLYE THE TANK collided resulting in both
greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.

5th GRADE 431M The greyhound COSMIC LAPTOP underwent a pre race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found and passed fit
to race. LITE ME UP was best to begin. Through the 1st turn RUM RUNNER,
LOOK THE PART, COLD NIGHTS, BLUE ME and HEARTLAND FLYER were all tightened
for racing room, checked and lost ground to varying degrees. Entering the back straight COSMIC LAPTOP
was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn out of the back straight LOOK THE PART was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Entering the front straight ROSDUE SPRITE
shifted out which hampered the running of RUM RUNNER. At the same time LOOK THE PART shifted out
which hampered the running of HEARTLAND FLYER. |
