start. Shortly after the start DAISY
DREAMS and LIL MISS PINKY were both tightened for racing room, checked and
lost ground. Leaving the back straight
CATCH ME KEITH and GEMMA’S BLUE were tightened for racing room, checked and
lost ground. GEMMA’S BLUE raced wide
approaching the turn into the front straight.
LIL MISS PINKY which was racing to its outside was hampered as a
consequence and raced wide. Entering
the front straight CATCH ME KEITH raced wide.
GEMMA’S BLUE and LIL MISS PINKY were both hampered as a consequence
and raced wide. |

SKY RACING MAIDEN 288M Even start with the exception of BAGS IT’S MINE which was
marginally slow to begin. Approaching
the turn out of the back straight WILDASH BARCY, YOU SLIPPY GYPSY and HEZA
REBEL were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the front
straight REEF AND BEEF and YOU SLIPPY GYPSY collided resulting in YOU SLIPPY
GYPSY to be checked and lose ground.
Rounding the turn into the front straight JOJO BELLE and BAGS IT’S
MINE were tightened for racing room, severely checked and lost considerable
ground. In the front straight in the
latter stages of the race YOU SLIPPY GYPSY and HESA REBEL collided on a
number of occasions. |

ALPHA 390 FINANCE MAIDEN 431M FROSY BLACK
JAY and TEFLON FLYER were best to begin.
Shortly after the start HOT, MR. BELLISSIMO, PEYTON JOYCE and ALFONSO
were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Through the 1st turn HOT was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Entering the back straight MR. BELLISSIMO
improved onto the hindquarters of PEYTON JOYCE resulting in both greyhounds
to be severely checked and lose considerable ground. The greyhound
MR. BELLISSIMO underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent
injuries were found. The greyhound

Shortly after the start ARABIAN GO DANI, INOUNO, SURFBOARD and VALERIE
MERLE were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Leaving the 1st turn WILDASH
THUNDER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Entering the back straight SURFBOARD was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Leaving the back straight SURFBOARD shifted
in and made contact with the running rail and lost ground. The greyhound SURFBOARD underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

TYRE REPAIRS NOVICE 431M Even start with the exception of PIPELINE PIP which was
marginally slow to begin and DAD’S THE WORD which was slow to begin. GUDERA KITTHAWK was tightened for racing
room shortly after the start. Through
the 1st turn THUNDER OF FIRE was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Entering the
back straight HAVANA BLACK was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Leaving the back straight HAVANA
BLACK was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Entering the front straight GUDERA
KITTYHAWK and PIPELINE PIP collided resulting in PIPELINE PIP to be checked
and lose ground. At the same time
THUNDER OF FIRE and UP THE HEAT collided. |

O’REILLY PET FOOD 4/5th GRADE 520M Even start.
Shortly after the start THAT HOUDINI was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Rounding the
turn out of the front straight COSMIC CAPERS was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Shortly after
FIREY BENZ commenced to give ground and retired from the race. The greyhound FIERY BENZ underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
side pin and was stood down for a period of 28 days. |

4/5th GRADE 431M Even start with the exception of SPARK YOU UP which was
marginally slow to begin. Approaching
the turn into the back straight SPARK YOU UP was tightened for racing room,
checked and fell and took no further part in the race. DARK SMIFFY which was racing to its outside
was checked as a consequence and lost ground.
In the front straight during the early stages of the race IONISATION
checked across the heels of CHOC LATTE CLOUD and was momentarily
hampered. THIS TIME REBA commenced to
give ground rapidly on the turn out of the back straight to finish a
considerable distance from the remainder of the field. The greyhound THIS TIME REBA underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 6 weeks. The greyhound SPARK YOU UP underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 7 days. |

CONSTRUCTIONS 5th GRADE 431M Even start. ROAD CAM slipped on the mat shortly after
the start and became awkward. Through
the 1st turn RAGNAR LOTHBROK was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Rounding the
turn into the back straight RAGNAR LOTHBROK shifted out and came in contact
with the hindquarters of IT’S ABOUT TIME resulting in that greyhound to be
severely checked and lose considerable ground. In the front straight during the latter
stages of the race MAMA NATURE SAID and BLACK AMEX collided. The greyhound IT’S ABOUT TIME
underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were
found. Mr. W Nicholls the trainer of MAMA
NATURE SAID was informed that stewards had concerns over the greyhound’s
actions over the latter stages of the race however, could not be comfortably
satisfied the greyhound had breached any rules and therefore gave it the
benefit of the doubt. |

SURGEON 5th GRADE 431M Even start with the exception of POMPI BETRO which was
slow to begin. Through the 1st
turn SNOZZSTA and KYOTO KAHN were tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Entering the back straight
SPECIAL VIRTUE checked across the heels of SWEET PEARL and was momentarily
hampered. SNOZZSTA which was racing to
its outside was checked as a consequence.
In the back straight SWEET PEARL and LIGHTNING WHITE collided
resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. POMPI BETRO commenced to give ground in the
back straight to finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the
field. The greyhound POMPI BETRO underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near
side wrist and was stood down for a period of 14 days. |

5th GRADE 288M VICKI’S CHOICE, BONKNOCKA PRINCE and BLACK STEEL were
best to begin. REGINA REWARD was
marginally slow to begin. Leaving the
back straight KABUKURU was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight
TRUE BLUE ICE and BLACK STEEL collided.
KABUKURU which was trailling was checked as a consequence and raced
wide. |
