Stewards Trial 1 – 431m

The greyhound LUCID DREAMING performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.10.

 

 

The track was turned on Monday the 5th of june 2017

 

RACE REPORTS

 

1.

Even start with THUG slow to begin.  Shortly after the start FROSTY BLACK JAY was tightened for racing room and hampered.  In the 1St turn AFFLICTION hit the running rail.  At the same time SPOT ROSE HI, POET SOCIETY and BRIGHTEST STAR  collided resulting in all greyhounds to lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the back straight KIA BE GOOD and SPRING COMMAND bumped.  In the back straight POET SOCIETY clipped heels and lost ground.  In the front straight FROSTY BLACK JAY and BRIGHTEST STAR ran wide.

 

The greyhound AFFLICTION underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near hind leg and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 431M

Even start with ADAM ROSE HI slow to begin.  Shortly after the start ADAM ROSE HI was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  In the 1st turn ADAM ROSE HI and DESERT CHILD collided.  At the same time LAZZA MANAZZA was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  In the back straight WILDASH THUNDER ran wide.  Entering the top turn GUNLEE ROCKER and BAD DAN FRANKIE collided resulting in GUNLEE ROCKER to lose ground.  In the concluding stages GUNLEE ROCKER and BLUE GIRL BLUE collided.

ALPHA 390 FINANCE MAIDEN HEAT 3 431M

HOT was best to begin with TOPAZ TAN slow.  Shortly after the start VELOCITY BARINA and GALWAY KITE bumped.  In the 1st turn COLLIE ROSE HI and VELOCITY BARINA collided.  At the same time HOT was tightened for racing room and GALWAY KITE and TOPAZ TAN collided resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  In the front straight COLLIE ROSE HI and TOPAZ TAN collided resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.

ALFONSO was best to begin with JEAN GENIE slow.  Shortly after the start HOPEFUL MISS and LION’S BLUE bumped.  In the 1st turn JEAN GENIE got on the hindquarters of JESS ROSE HI resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  In the front straight SLICE OF CAKE and HOPEFUL MISS collided.

TREMBATH TYRE REPAIRS NOVICE 431M

SPRING LOYAL and MAGIC BENZ were slow.  In the 1st turn MAYWYN REWARDS, KALANI KARL and MAYWYN PROMISES all collided resulting in MAYWYN PROMISES to lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the back straight EDGY clipped heels and lost ground.  Entering the back straight EDGY and KALANI KARL bumped.  In the back straight MAYWYN PROMISES and MAGIC BENZ ran wide.  In the top turn EDGY was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  Entering the turn into the home straight MAYWYN REWARDS ran wide.  In the home straight MAYWYN PROMISES ran wide.

 

The greyhound EDGY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards questioned trainer Mr Steven Scott about the performance of edgy, which he stated that the greyhound had received a lot of interference during the race.

O’REILLY PET FOOD 5th GRADE 520M

Even start.  In the front straight on the 1st occasion FLYING TWISTER, BOGAN DANCER and CYN’S MAGIC collided  resulting in all greyhounds to be hampered.  Entering the 1st turn LITTLE LUCY and MUSTANG NOVA bumped forcing RAGNAR LOTHBROK and BOGAN DANCER wide resulting in BOGAN DANCER to lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the home straight LITTLE LUCY and CYN’S MAGIC collided resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered.

Even start.  Shortly after the start FANCY FREEL and LOGAN COUNTY bumped.  In the 1st turn BIG DIPPA, SPRING DORRIE and LONESOME HERO collided resulting in all greyhounds to be hampered.  At the same time LOGAN COUNTY clipped heels. checked and lost significant ground and gave no further competitive part in the this race.  Rounding the turn into the home straight BIG DIPPA and LONESOME HERO bumped.

 

The greyhound LOGAN COUNTY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

C2C CONSTRUCTIONS 3/4th GRADE 431M

YOU JANE and SWITCH BLADE were best to begin with TOO MANY BILLS slow.  Shortly after the start GUN DANCER was tightened for racing room and hampered.  In the 1st turn SWITCH BLADE, TITLE and BOGIE TEEJAY all bumped.  Leaving the 1st turn VELOCITY CLOVER and SWITCH BLADE collided.  BOGIE TEEJAY which was trailing was hampered.  In the back straight TOO MANY BILLS ran wide.  Entering the top turn BOGIE TEEJAY clipped heels and lost ground.  In the front straight TOO MANY BILLS ran wide.

 

The greyhound BOGIE TEEJAY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

FABULOUS SHOW and BONKNOCKA BEANS were slow.  Shortly after the start HARRY BENZ and SPRING ERNIE bumped.  In the 1st turn SPRING POLLY and BONKNOCKA BEANS bumped resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered.  Rounding the turn into the back straight SPRING ERNIE was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  In the back straight SPRING POLLY and HARRY BENZ collided resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered.  Entering the top turn HARRY BENZ clipped heels and lost ground.

BLAZE ROSE HI was slow to begin.  In the 1st turn MIDNIGHT BURN and MAGICAL MO collided resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  Entering the top turn MAGICAL MO was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  Entering the home straight MIDNIGHT BURN and BLAZE ROSE HI bumped.
