Stewards Trial 1 – 431m

The greyhound BIG WINSTON performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.17 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

RACE REPORTS

 

1.

NEDGO PRINCESS was best to begin.  Shortly after the start BLUE GIRL BLUE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Through the 1st turn HOT, BLUE GIRL BLUE, NEDGO NAVY and WOODY’S SPECIAL raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight NEDGO NAVY improved onto the hindquarters of WOODY’S SPECIAL resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked and lose considerable ground.  Leaving the back straight NEDGO NAVY and WOODY’S SPECIAL collided.

 

The greyhound WOODY’S SPECIAL underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off hind foot and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

SKY RACING MAIDEN 431M

SPRING REMI, WHITE EAGLE and TECHNO’S GLORY were best to begin.  FREE PRESS was slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn SPRING REMI, WHITE EAGLE, VELOCITY BARINA and TECHNO’S GLORY raced tight resulting in VELOCITY REMI to be checked and lose ground.  BONDI GIRL, WOODY’S PRINCE and GALWAY HYPERACT which were trailling were checked as a consequence.  Entering the back straight FREE PRESS and VELOCITY BARINA collided which resulted in VELOCITY BARINA to be checked and lose ground.  VELOCITY BARINA improved onto the heels of BONDI GIRL leaving the back straight.  Rounding the turn into the front straight BONDI GIRL and WOODY’S PRINCE bumped resulting in both greyhounds to be momentarily hampered.

GREYHOUND-DATA.COM MAIDEN 431M

Even start with the exception of TOPAZ TAN and SANRICO ROSIE which were both marginally slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn JOJO BELLE and ZAZU’S HEADACHE collided on a number of occasions resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  SANRICO ROSIE which was racing to the outside of JOJO BELLE was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight ENZO JAZZ and BRIGHTEST STAR collided resulting in both greyhounds to be momentarily hampered.  Entering the front straight ARFA SHOW OFF checked across the heels of BRIGHTEST STAR and raced wide.

 

The greyhound JOJO BELLE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

ELOISE, KINDA HOT and BELLA LYNDAN were best to begin.  Through the 1st turn SPIFFY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the back straight WERINA LIGHTNING and BRASS ROAD collided on a number of occasions resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Entering the front straight WHO SAID SO and DARK JEDDA collided resulting in  DARK JEDDA to be checked shift out and collide with BELLA LYNDAN resulting in both DARK JEDDA and BELLA LYNDAN to be checked and lose ground.

 

The greyhound WERINA LIGHTNING underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

5.

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE NOVICE 431M

Even start with the exception of DAD’S THE WORD which was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start FIRED UP AGAIN, ZIVA’S LASS and SURE SHOT raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Leaving the 1st turn FIRED UP AGAIN was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  SURE SHOT and ZIVA’S LASS which were trailing were checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight DAD’S THE WORK improved onto the heels of ALFONSO and was checked as a consequence.  Shortly after FIRED UP AGAIN and SURE SHOT collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  ZIVA’S LASS raced wide rounding the turn into the front straight.  In the front straight ALFONSO shifted out which hampered the running of STAR RISE.

 

The greyhound SURE SHOT underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND COMPLEX 5th GRADE HEAT 1 431M

Even start.  Shortly after the start ZAFONIC FORCE and KAAN PAKMAK were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Through the 1st turn KAAN PAKMAK and ME MATE MOUSE collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Shortly after LIL MISS PINKY and SHEZA RULER were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Entering the back straight LIL MISS PINKY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  In the back straight ON THE WALL and SOCIAL collided on a number of occasions.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight KAAN PAKMAK was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  LIL MISS PINKY raced wide in the front straight.

Even start with the exception of MIGHTY NOVA and SIZEABLE which were both slow to begin.  Approaching the turn into the back straight MIGHTY NOVA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

 

The greyhound OLD MATE KICK underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GJ WALSH & CO 4/5th GRADE FINAL 431M

Even start.  Shortly after the start KINLOCH BEACH and MINSTREL MAN collided resulting in KINLOCH BEACH to shift in and collide with WITHCOTT FLYER.  Through the 1st turn WITHCOTT FLYER, KINLOCH BEACH and BOGIE TEEJAY raced tight which resulted in WITHCOTT FLYER and KINLOCH BEACH to lose ground.  Entering the back straight SALUDOS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight KINLOCH BEACH checked across the heels of BOGIE TEEJAY and raced wide.  LUCKMAN which was racing on its outside was hampered as a consequence and raced wide.

 

The greyhound SALUDOS underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GENTABLUE PET FOOD 5th GRADE HEAT 2 431M

Even start.  Shortly after the start MOLLY LYNDAN and BINALONG ROAD collided resulting in BINALONG ROAD to be checked and lose ground.  Through the 1st turn MOLLY LYNDAN and STAR BILLING collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Leaving the back straight YOU JANE checked off the heels of COSADO SUN and lost ground.  MOLLY LYNDAN which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground.

SCARLET BLACK was best to begin.  Through the 1st turn QUEEN OF SHOW and SHAYLOR HARRY collided resulting in SHAYLOR HARRY to be checked and lose ground.  Leaving the back straight SCAR’S BROTHER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight SCAR’S BROTHER checked across the heels of SHAYLOR HARRY and was momentarily hampered.  RAMBLING JAKE which was trailing was checked as a consequence shifted out and raced wide.  COST A QUID which was racing to its outside was hampered and raced wide.  ROSDUE BLUE GUM raced in restricted room over the concluding stages.
