Stewards Trial 1 – 431m

The greyhound FLYING SPARKLES performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 24.94.

 

The greyhound PARIS FRANCE performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 26.46.

Even start with the exception of MALLEE BULL, TOPAZ TAN and GRAVEL which were all marginally slow to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn BUTTERFLY IS SHE and SHAKEY SHOW collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  TECHNO’S GLORY and BARNEY’S BOUNTY which were trailling were checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Entering the back straight GRAVEL was tightened for racing room, checked, shifted out and collided with BUTTERFLY IS SHE resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  BARNEY’S BOUNTY raced wide rounding the turn into the front straight.  SHAKEY SHOW which was racing to its outside was hampered as a consequence and raced wide.  Shortly after TECHNO’S GLORY checked across the heels of BARNEY’S BOUNTY and lost ground.

SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 431M

DORIE’S PICK and PRINCESS IVY were best to begin.  OSCAR’S LEGACY and HOME LUCK were slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn DORIE’S PICK and OWN GOAL were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Entering the back straight OSCAR’S LEGACY shifted out and turned its head and marred the running of POLSTEN resulting in POLSTEN to be severely checked, fell and took no further part in the race.  BARNEY BE GOOD which was racing to its outside of POLSTEN was checked as a result of this incident.

 

The greyhound POLSTEN underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Stewards advised trainer Ms. S Giles that the greyhound OSCAR’S LEGACY would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks.

ALPHA 390 FINANCE MAIDEN FINAL 431M

PIPE OF PEACE was best to begin.  ADAM ROSE HI was slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn RAPID MAIL, ZAZU’S HEADACHE, ABLAZE and WAYCOL BILL raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to be checked to varying degrees.  Rounding the turn into the back straight ABLAZE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  In the back straight RAPID MAIL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  The muzzle on HAYVILLE GEORGE displaced during the race.

 

The greyhound ABLAZE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound RAPID MAIL underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 6 weeks.

BELLISSIMO which were marginally slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn GIDDY UP PATSY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight MR. BELLISSIMO was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

Even start with the exception of SECRETIVE INTENT which was slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn ASICLAO was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  GOLD LINER which was trailling was hampered as a consequence.  Leaving the back straight LAZZA MANAZZA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  MISSY MOO which was trailling was checked as a consequence and lost ground.

O’REILLY PET FOOD 5th GRADE HEAT 1 520M

Even start.  Shortly after the start ANOTHER NORRIS and COSMIC DENLYN were both tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the front straight FABRIQUE and AGENDA collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  In the back straight WERINA LIGHTNING improved onto the heels of AGENDA and was momentarily hampered.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight ANOTHER NORRIS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  WERINA LIGHTNING raced wide rounding the turn into the front straight.

Even start.  Shortly after the start WHAT A MESS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the front straight ZAFONIC FORCE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight WHAT A MESS and GIFTED ANGEL collided resulting in GIFTED ANGEL to be checked and lose ground.  Leaving the back straight ZAFONIC FORCE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

C2C CONSTRUCTIONS 4/5th GRADE FINAL 520M

COOL VANE and PENDITA were best to begin.  Shortly after the start SPRING SHANAE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Entering the back straight COOL VANE and PENDITA collided resulting in PENDITA to be severely checked, fall and take no further competitive part in the race.

 

The greyhound PENDITA underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Even start with the exception of BURNING OAK which was marginally slow to begin and SPARK YOU UP which was slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn BE FEARLESS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  In the front straight BE FEARLESS checked across the heels of VELOCITY CLOVER and was momentarily hampered.

Even start with the exception of HURUNUI ALYSSA, BRONCO BOY and AILLA which were all marginally slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn I’M GLAD and KABUKURU collided resulting in KABUKURU to be checked, shift out and collide with FARAHMAC resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  AILLA which was racing to the outside of FARAHMAC was checked as a result of this incident and lost ground.
