The greyhound YEAH THE BOYS performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 413m in a time of 26.06.

GALWAY BLUEBIRD was slow to begin.  In the 1st turn VELOCITY ONYX shifted in colliding with RED JUMPER and CATCH ME KEITH and all greyhounds became unbalanced.  This incident caused CATCH ME KEITH to shift out and hamper the running of NEVER A PROBLEM and GAYWAY KITE, and both lost ground.  VELOCITY ONYX and CATCH ME KEITH were wide entering the home straight.

SKY RACING MAIDEN 520M

INOUNO, SWIFT BARB and ORBIT THE MOON were marginally slow to begin.  Shortly after the start INOUNO, SWIFT BARB and ORBIT THE MOON collided.  In the front straight GALWAY CHEETA was tightened and momentarily hampered.  Entering the 1st turn ARREBA was checked and became unbalanced.  In the 1st turn ARREBA and GALWAY CHEETA collided on a number of occasions and both lost ground.  Entering the back straight ORBIT THE MOON was hampered as INOUNO shifted out.  Entering the top turn LOWOOD DUK and FLYING COMET collided and were momentarily hampered.  GALWAY CHEETA was wide in the home straight.

CITY COUNTRY FOOD SERVICE NOVICE 431M

NINPIN was best to begin while SURE SHOT was marginally slow.  In the 1st turn general tightening resulted in interference to all runners excluding NINPIN with WILDASH THUNDER, MADIES and GALWAY HYPERACT losing ground.  Entering the top turn WILDASH THUNDER and WILDASH BARCY collided and were unbalanced.  In the top turn WILDASH THUNDER shifted out, turning its head towards WILDASH BARCY, causing both greyhounds to lose significant ground and take no further competitive part in the event.  GALWAY HYPERACT was also inconvenienced as a result of this incident.

 

The greyhound WILDASH BARCY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound WILDASH THUNDER underwent a post-race veterinary examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the near side pin, and was stood down for a period of 10 days. Stewards advised trainer of WILDASH THUNDER Mr. D. Single that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (B) Failing to Pursue with injury, 1st offence, 10 day stand-down plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial over 431m, all tracks.

AIM was best to begin.  Shortly after the start EDGY and QUINTASTIC came together causing EDGY to shift out and collide with MR. BELVEDERE.  Shortly after, MAYWYN IF LUCKY and MR. BELVEDERE collided and were unbalanced.  Entering the back straight EDGY improved onto the heels of QUINTASTIC and both greyhounds were checked and lost ground.  Entering the top turn QUINTASTIC, EDGY, MR. BELVERDERE and WILDASH DIVA all collided and were unbalanced.

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE 431M

ARE YOU THERE and NAUGHTY JESS were best to begin while IRISH SPICE and LOOK THE PART were slow.  Shortly after the start GALLANT EXPLORER and ARE YOU THERE were checked as NAUGHTY JESS shifted in.  In the 1st turn JUST MY SIZE, IRISH SPICE, LOOK THE PART and BIG DIPPA raced tight and were unbalanced.  Entering the back straight JUST MY SIZE shifted out causing ARE YOU THERE to be checked and lose ground.

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND COMPLEX 5th GRADE 431

SHAKEY TANGO and TREVON’S FURY were best to begin.  Shortly after the start DROP SHOT, ALLPA MAMA and FLEXI DAY all collided.  In the top turn DROP SHOT and SPRING POLLY collided causing DROP SHOT to lose ground.

 

The greyhound DROP SHORT underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

LIGHTNING WHITE was best to begin.  THROTTLE ON raced wide in the back straight.

GJ WALSH & CO 4/5th GRADE 520M

CAKE IT ON was best to begin. Shortly after the start DODGY DANCER checked off heels and collided with COSMIC YESSAM and both greyhounds became unbalanced. In the first turn SHADOW EDGE and DODGY DANCER both checked off heels and lost ground. Approaching the top turn COSMIC YESSAM was tightened and lost ground.

 

The greyhound COSMIC YESSAM underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound SHADOW EDGE underwent a post-race veterinary examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the near side hip, and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

GENTABLUE PET FOOD 5th GRADE 431M

Even start.  WILDASH WANDERER and DIAMOND JAKEY were checked at the start.  In the 1st turn DIAMOND JAKEY and WILDASH WANDERER collided and were unbalanced.  PARIS QUEEN and COMPLETE CONTROL were hampered in the 1st turn.  Leaving the 1st turn NOIRE CHERIE and ROAD CAM were inconvenienced.  Leaving the top turn PARIS QUEEN checked off heels and collided with COMPLETE CONTROL and both greyhounds were inconvenienced.  In the home straight WILDASH WANDERER and NOIRE CHERIE collided and were unbalanced.

MY SPRITE was best to begin.  Shortly after the start ODI SANNETTE checked off heels.  In the 1st turn MISSED CONTROL, LOBCHA, GUY FAWKES and BOGIE TEEJAY raced tight and were unbalanced.  Entering the back straight LOBCHA checked off heels, became severely unbalanced and lost ground.  GUY FAWKES and ODI SANNETTE that were following were inconvenienced and lost ground as a result and MAYWYN PETTYCASH was forced to race wide in the back straight.  Entering the top turn GUY FAWKES shifted in tightening ODI SANNETTE and both greyhounds lost ground.

 

The greyhound LOBCHA underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
