Even start with the exception of FREE PRESS which was marginally slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn REEF AND BEEF was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  BONITA DE KAHN which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight TIP TOP TEMPO was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight TIP TOP TEMPO, REEF AND BEEF and BONITA DE KAHN collided resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.

SKY RACING NOVICE 431M

Even start with the exception of ARFA SHOW OFF which was marginally slow to begin.  Shortly after the start TEFLON FLYER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the 1st turn CAEDLIN ROSE HI and MADRE collided.  Leaving the 1st turn TEFLON FLYER checked across heels and lost ground.  Entering the back straight BLACK KOALA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  MADRE which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight CAEDLIN ROSE HI was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  HOT which was racing to its outside was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight ARFA SHOW OFF and TEFLON FLYER collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.

 

The greyhound TEFLON FLYER underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the back and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

GREYHOUND-DATA.COM NOVICE 431M

The start of this race was delayed when LINKEN BARK proved difficult to box.  LINKEN BARK was declared a ‘hard to box’ greyhound for its immediate racing future.

 

BARNEY BE GOOD was best to begin.  ADAM ROSE HI was slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn BARNEY’S BOUNTY, GALWAY HYPERACT, LINKEN BARK and RED JUMPER were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight KNOCK NOVA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

 

The greyhound LINKEN BARK underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Even start.  Through the 1st turn BENTAXLE, LITE ME UP and SHAYLOR LES were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  NINA ROSE HI which was trailling was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight SNOW RUNNER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  NINA ROSE HI commenced to give ground entering the back straight to finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field.  Leaving the back straight SNOW RUNNER and SHAYLOR LES collided resulting in SNOW RUNNER to be checked and lose ground.  Entering the front straight SHAYLOR LES checked across heels and lost ground.

 

The greyhound SNOW RUNNER underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  When questioned over the performance of the greyhound trainer Mr. I Dionysius stated that he was expecting a forward showing as the greyhound had trialled well leading up to the race and that he was disappointed with SNOW RUNNER’s overall performance although he acknowledged the greyhound suffered some interference during the race.  He stated that it would be his intention to step the greyhound’s racing distance up to the 520m in its immediate racing future.  Mr. Dionysius took it upon himself to report to stewards if anything that may come amiss with SNOW RUNNER in the upcoming days.

 

The greyhound NINA ROSE HI underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 6 weeks.

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE HEAT 1 431M

SPRING ERNIE, IT’S ABOUT TIME and DORREGO were best to begin.  SPRING COMMAND was marginally slow to begin.  VEGAS BOY was slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn SPRING ERNIE and IT’S ABOUT TIME collided resulting in IT’S ABOUT TIME to be checked and lose ground.  SPRING COMMAND, HAVANA BLACK and ASRABIAN GO DANI which were all trailling were checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight ARABIAN GO DANI improved onto the hindquarters of SPRING ERNIE resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  HAVANA BLACK which was trailling was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  IT’S ABOUT TIME shifted out in the front straight which hampered the running of SPRING COMMAND.

 

The greyhound ARABIAN GO DANI underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound SPRING ERNIE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND COMPLEX 5th GRADE HEAT 2 431M

Even start.  Shortly after the start LAZZA MANAZZA and SURE SHOT collided resulting in SURE SHOT to be checked and lose ground.  Approaching the 1st turn SANDLER was tightened for racing room and momentarily hampered.  Leaving the 1st turn LOVED UP was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  SANDLER and ASTIN’S WARRIOR which were trailing were checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight LAZZA MANAZZA improved onto the heels of HOLLY KNOCKS resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  LOVED UP which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight HOLLY KNOCKS and LOVED UP collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.

OUTBACK STORM and MISS AMELIA were best to begin.  SPRING LOYAL was marginally slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn COSMIC DENLYN and TIM AND NIEL collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  SHAKEY START and SPRING LOYAL which were both trailing were checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the back straight COSMIC DENLYN shifted out which hampered the running of TIM AND NIEL.  Rounding the turn into the front straight SHAKEY START and SPRING SHELLEY collided.

GJ WALSH & CO 3/4th GRADE 431M

Even start.  Approaching the 1st turn CAPTAIN’S KNOCK, THOMAS ROSE HI and SPRING AUDREY were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  CAPTAIN TIL raced wide in the back straight.

GENTABLUE PET FOOD 5th GRADE HEAT 3 431M

Even start with the exception of LION’S BLUE which was slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn all runners with the exception of STRUDEL were tightened for racing room, checked to varying degrees and lost ground.  REGAL TRAV raced wide rounding the turn into the front straight which hampered the running of PRATER’S SAINT.

Even start with the exception of SPRING BEK and BROTHER TREVOR which were both marginally slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn OUT DELIVERANCE, SURFBOARD, MAYWYN PROMISES and BROTHER TREVOR were all tightened for racing room, checked to varying degrees with SURFBOARD falling and taking no further part in the race.  Rounding the turn into the front straight REGAL WAZ and WHITE EAGLE collided on a number of occasions resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.

 

The greyhound SURFBOARD underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound BELVEDERE BABE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near side hip and was stood down for a period of 7 days.
