The greyhound STUBBORN MISS performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.76.

POWER SERVICE was best to begin while SPRING GARY, EXPECT LESS and ROCKFORD were slow out.  Shortly after the start MARGO BELLE checked across the heels of POWER SERVICE and collided with BLAZIN’ BLUE which checked ROCKFORD.  On the first turn SPRING GARY was checked between SECRET KEPT and KAY CEE SAZIA which collided.  Turning into the back straight EXPECT LESS was hampered by MARGO BELLE which shifted wider.

SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 431M

SHOELESS JO and SONIC DUK bumped at the start.  LOVE THE LOOK and SPRING REINA collided at the start and again on several occasions until the first turn.  On the first turn SPRING REINA checked off the heels of PITTSBURGH PHIL and collided with SHOELESS JO resulting in SHOELESS JO and BAD DAN FRANKIE being severely checked.  On the final turn SPRING REINA was checked and hampered EBONNIE.  A short distance later SPRING REINA and EBONNIE came together.  Turning into the home straight BAD DAN FRANKIE improved onto the heels of SPRING REINA resulting in SPRING REINA becoming unbalanced and losing ground.

 

SPRING REINA underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GRETA’S GIFT was slow to begin.  MAYWYN’S NOMAD and HYPO SHOW bumped at the start.  Approaching the first turn ATTILA and VELOCITY CHARM collided on a number of occasions.  On the first turn ATTILA, VELOCITY CHARM, MAYWYN’S NOMAD and HYPO SHOW collided resulting in ATTILA becoming very unbalanced and all greyhounds being severely checked.  Shortly after, HYPO SHOW commenced to give ground and failed to finish the event.

 

HYPO SHOW underwent a post race veterinary examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the near hind leg and was stood down for a period of 21 days.

ALPHA 390 FINANCE NOVICE 431M

CLASSY CASSIE and HOT were best to begin.  LA BAMBA and NO VISA bumped shortly after the start.  LA BAMBA then collided with DIESEL POWER, became unbalanced and bumped NO VISA.  Entering the back straight THIS IS LEGIT checked off the heels of BAILEY BE GOOD.  Leaving the back straight THIS IS LEGIT was tightened and lost ground.

 

THIS IS LEGIT underwent a post race veterinary examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the off fore leg and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

TEFLON FLYER and ALISSA’S ANGEL were slow to begin.  Shortly after the start VELOCITY RADINKA checked across the heels of NEW ABODE tightening the running of ALISSA’S ANGEL and TEFLON FLYER causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  VELOCITY RADINKA then collided with SPRING AUDREY, which in turn bumped ZABDON LAMBO.  VELOCITY RADINKA then shifted out and again checked across the heels of NEW ABODE.  On the first turn GOTCHA MONEY checked off the heels of NEW ABODE.

JUST GREYHOUNDS PHOTOS 4/5th GRADE 431M

SWARAVSKI was best to begin.  REGAL WAZ was hampered at the start by SPRING ELLIE. ELEGANT DUK, LITE ME UP and SAIL SURFER all came together at the start.  On the first turn there was general tightening which resulted in REGAL WAZ and SAIL SURFER falling and all other greyhounds being checked to varying degrees.  Leaving the back straight LITE ME UP improved onto the heels of ELEGANT DUK and was checked, also causing ELEGANT DUK to be severely checked.

 

SAIL SURFER underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

REGAL WAZ underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Even start.  Shortly after, BRITTANY TALKS and FROSTY BEJAY collided causing BRITTANY TALKS to become unbalanced.  YANCY BALE and HERACLES bumped on a number of occasions after the start and in the front straight.  Leaving the front straight on the first occasion YANCY BALE collided with FROSTY BEJAY causing the greyhound to be checked and also checking HERACLES which was trailing.  At the same time BRITTANY TALKS which was racing in restricted room improved onto the heels of LITTLE DOTTY TOO and was checked.

GJ WALSH & CO 5th GRADE HEAT 2 520M

Even start.  Shortly after, PANTHER CLOUD and ARABIAN GO DANI collided causing PANTHER CLOUD to become unbalanced.  Leaving the front straight on the first occasion PANTHER CLOUD and WHAT A MESS collided checking ARABIAN GO DANI which was trailing.  On the final turn TOPAZ TAN checked across the heels of WHAT A MESS.

DOUBLE OAK was slow to begin.  Approaching the first turn BROTHER TREVOR and OWN GOAL bumped.  On the first turn BROTHER TREVOR, OWN GOAL, SONNY GEORGE and VIKING RED collided causing DOUBLE OAK which was trailing to be checked.  Leaving the back straight OWN GOAL was checked by BROTHER TREVOR and in turn shifted out and severely checked BUNDY BUCKS.  Entering the home straight BROTHER TREVOR and SONNY GEORGE bumped on a number of occasions.

SKY RACING 5th GRADE 431M

SHE’S FOXY was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start BLUE DOT, SENNI LUCILLE and SPRING ERNIE collided.  Approaching the first turn SPARK YOU UP collided with CUPPA TEA KIWI checking BLUE DOT which was trailing and in turn tightening SENNI LUCILLE, SPRING ERNIE and SHE’S FOXY.  In the back straight SENNI LUCILLE checked off the heels of SPRING ERNIE.  Shortly after, SHE’S FOXY collided with SPRING ERNIE causing it to become unbalanced.  SPARK YOU UP gave ground over the concluding stages.  Entering the final turn SPARK YOU UP checked off the heels of SPRING ERNIE when giving ground.

 

SPRING ERNIE underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

SPARK YOU UP underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr M Cuneo that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance and must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m all tracks prior to nominating.
