Shortly after the start WERINA MAGIC and HAD BETTER DAZE checked and lost ground.  Approaching the 1st turn NIVEK RETSERROF was tightened for racing room and become unbalanced as a result.  Shortly after, WERINA MAGIC checked off heels. Approaching the top turn HAD BETTER DAZE stumbled and checked with KICKER CREW causing both greyhounds to lose ground.

 

The greyhound EXPECT LESS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Stewards advised trainer Ms C Dargusch, the greyhound EXPECT LESS would be charged under Rule 74 1(a), Unsatisfactory Performance, and the greyhound must complete a satisfactory stewards trial 431m all tracks with a  veterinary certificate be produced before trailing.

SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 431M

GOLDEN STORM was best to begin, CRYSTAL CASCADE was slow.  Leaving the turn into the back straight NO MORE CAKE and GOLDEN STORM raced tight and bumped.  Leaving the turn into the front straight, MINNIE BLUE become unbalanced and shifted wide as a result.

 

The greyhound CRYSTAL CASCADE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

SPRING IVAN was best to begin.  BLACK RUSKY and LADYLIKE GRACE were both marginally slow.  Leaving the turn into the back straight BLACK RUSKY checked off heels.  Shortly after LADYLIKE GRACE improved onto the rear of MR. LEO causing that greyhound to lose significant ground.

ALPHA 390 FINANCE NOVICE (1) 431M

SNOW GIRL was best to begin. BRASS ROAD, BLAZIN’ BLUE and WERINA LIGHTNING raced tight and checked at the 1st turn. Leaving the turn into the back straight, KEAVY checked off heels and lost considerable ground. At the same time, MIDNIGHT TO ONE and REACTOR checked. MIDNIGHT TO ONE raced wide in the back straight.

 

The greyhound KEAVY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

STALKING MOON was slow to begin. VIKING WHITE raced wide in the back straight.  Leaving the turn into the front straight ENZO JAZZ was impeded and shifted wide as a result.

TREMBATH TYRE REPAIRS MIXED 3/4 GRADE 431M

GO LASSIE GO was best to begin. COSMIC CAPERS, SPRING LOYAL and SPRING ROY were all marginally slow.  Leaving the turn into the back straight, CAKE IT ON was tightened for racing room, causing it to check off heels and collide into VELOCITY ZARIN.  BURNING OAK which was trailing, collided into those greyhounds and all lost significant ground as a result. Approaching the turn into the front straight, COSMIC CAPERS was impeded and shifted out as a result.

ZILLIE BEAN was marginally slow to begin.  Leaving the 1st turn LIL MISS PINKY, WAYCOL BILL, BINALONG ROAD and SPORTFAN raced tight with BINALONG ROAD checking off heels and losing considerable ground as a result.  Approaching the top turn ZILLIE BEAN and VIKING RED checked and lost ground.  Leaving the turn into the front straight LIL MISS PINKY raced wide and continued to race wide for the remainder of the race.

BUTCHER CO MIXED 4/5th GRADE 520M

FAB FIT was best to begin.  ZAZU’S HEADACHE was marginally slow.  Leaving the turn into the back straight GIFTED ANGEL checked off heels and lost ground.

CAKES ALL AROUND was best to begin.  SIZEABLE was slow.  Approaching the turn into the back straight COSMIC DENLYN checked off heels, GITCHA HUMMIN’ and KYLE THE TANK who were trailing collided into COSMIC DENLYN with all those greyhounds losing significant ground as a result.  SPECTRAVILLE and TOKEN TOFF raced wide in the back straight, shortly after SPECTRAVILLE commenced to yield ground and take no further competitive part in the race thereafter.  Leaving the turn into the front straight SIZEABLE become unbalanced and lost ground.

 

The greyhound CAKES ALL AROUND underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was found fit to race.

 

The greyhound SPECTRAILLE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

SKY RACING 5th GRADE 431M

GOOD DAZE AHEAD was best to begin. ALLPA MAMA slipped out of the boxes and was extremely slow to begin as a result.  Leaving the turn into the back straight VALKYRIE NIGHT, NEDGO PRINCESS, BARNEY’S BOUNTY and ME HAPPY came together and checked with all losing ground to varying degrees. Approaching the turn into the front straight SHOW ME JAKEY stumbled and lost ground.
