Stewards Trial 1

The greyhound SLICE OF CAKE performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 26.84 as now cleared on all tracks.

RACE REPORTS

THE QUEENSLAND RACING INTEGRITY COMMISION’S HEAT POLICY WAS APPLIED TO THIS MEETING.

1.

IPSWICH CITY COUNCIL MAIDEN 431M

FROSTY BLACK JAY and GOOD GOLLY OLLY were best to begin.  THUG was marginally slow to begin.  Shortly after the start, GOLDEN STORM and BONITA DE KAHN collided.  Through the first turn, GOLDEN STORM and SUPER CETTE collide, resulting in SUPER CETTE to be checked and lose ground.  Entering the back straight, FROSTY BLACK JAY and SUPER CETTE collide, resulting in SUPER CETTE to be checked and lose ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, FROSTY BLACK JAY shifted out which hampered the running of THUG.

Even start.  Leaving the first turn, HAVANA BLACK was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  MIDNIGHT TO ONE raced wide in the back straight.

INDIGOTOYS.COM.AU NOVICE (2) 431M

Even start.  Through the first turn, ZAHARA DYE and WHO SAID SO were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  ZAHARA DYE raced wide rounding the turn into the front straight.

CITY COUNCIL DIVISION 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 431M

Even start.  Through the first turn, ELING FEELING, READY CETTE, SWARAVSKI, FARMOR IMPACT and MONDELLA all tightened for race room, checked and lost ground, with READY CETTE and FARMOR IMPACT losing considerable ground.  FARMOR IMPACT raced wide in the back straight. 

 

The greyhound READY CETTE underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

TIGERS SOFTBALL 66TH ANNIVERSARY 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 431M

Even start.  Shortly after the start, MADRE and RINGBARK MASON collide, resulting in RINGBARK MASON to be checked and lose considerable ground.  Leaving the first turn, SONNY GEORGE was tightened for race room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight, RINGBARK MASON was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

 

The greyhound RINGBARK MASON underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

EDNA HERTRICK OAM MIXED 3/4 431M

Even start, with the exception of TIM AND NIEL which was marginally slow to begin.  Approaching the first turn, COSMIS LAPTOP and KEZEKO collide.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, COSMIC LAPTOP was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

 

The greyhound TIM AND NIEL underwent a post race veterinary examination and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was stood down for a period of 8 weeks.

CAROL FREEMAN 5TH GRADE FINAL 431M

Even start.  Through the first turn, CAN’T POSSIBLY was tightened for race room, checked and lost ground.  IRISH SPICE which was trailing, was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Entering the back straight, FABRIQUE was tightened for race room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight, MEMPHIS was tightened for race room, checked and lost ground.

DAPHNE WATSON 5TH GRADE 520M

Even start.  LOVED UP slipped on the mat, shortly after start, stumbled and lost ground.  BASHFUL CLOUD, which was racing to its outside, was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  GOTCHA MONEY raced wide in the back straight.  Leaving the back straight, COSMIC DENLYN and GIFTED ANGEL were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

 

 

The greyhound ANOTHER NORRIS underwent a pre race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

TIGERS SOFTBALL ROAR 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 431M

Even start.  Leaving the first turn, COSMIC REVENGE was tightened for race room, checked and lost ground.  Through the first turn, RATHMAIT was tightened for race room, check and lost ground.  Approaching  the turn into the front straight, COSMIC REVENGE shifted out and raced wide, with BURNING OAK which was racing to its outside, was checked as a consequence and lost ground.

 

The greyhound COSMIC REVENGE underwent a post race veterinary examination and found to have suffered an injury to the off hind leg and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

10.

IPSWICH COUNTRY CLUB MA5 431Mr

Even start.  Through the first turn, DOUBLE SWATZA and PERFECT MUM collide, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Shortly after, WITHCOTT FLYER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  WITHCOTT FLYER commenced to give ground in the back straight, to finish a considerable distance with the remainder of the field.

 

The greyhound WITHCOTT FLYER underwent a post race veterinary examination and found to have suffered an injury to the near side webbing and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
