Race Reports

 

Race 1 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM MDNPW – 431M

 

BONITA DE KAHN was marginally slow to begin.  Immediately after the start, BONITA DE KAHN and IVY’S BOUQUET checked and lost ground.  In the 1st turn, EARTH SHAKE shifted out and collided heavily with BLUE GIRL BLUE and lost substantial ground as a consequence.  At the top turn, OUTBACK DESTINY was tightened for racing room, checked off heels and lost ground.  At the same time, BONITA DE KAHN was impeded and checked off heels.  EARTH SHAKE raced wide through the top turn, and remained wide for the remainder of the race.

 

The greyhound SIENNA’S BOY underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

 

Race 2 – SKY RACING MAIDEN – 431M

 

PARANELLA was marginally slow to begin.  At the 1st turn, LADYLIKE GRACE was impeded, shifted out and lost ground.  Leaving the 1st turn, TUTA BRYAN shifted out and collided heavily into LADYLIKE GRACE and lost substantial ground as a consequence.  Approaching the top turn, ROSDUE KOLA shifted in which impeded the running of ALPHA HESTIA, causing that greyhound to check off heels and lose considerable ground.  TUTA BYRAN raced wide through the turn into the front straight.  Midway down the front straight, MASTER ZIMBO shifted out sharply and checked into PARANELLA, causing that greyhound to be impeded and lose momentum.

 

The greyhound PARANELLA underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 3 – GREYHOUND_DATA.COM NOVICE (1) – 431M

 

SUPER CETTE was marginally slow to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn, WAZZA QUEEN, CLEO NOT CHLOE and WHO SAID SO raced tight and checked.  SUPER CETTE, BLACK KOALA and STOP THE IMAGE, which were trailing, were all inconvenienced and lost ground to differing degrees.  Leaving the 1st turn, BLACK KOALA and STOP THE IMAGE checked, causing both greyhounds to lose considerable ground.  Shortly after, WAZZA QUEEN checked off heels and lost ground.  Leaving the turn into the back straight, STOP THE IMAGE shifted in sharply, which impeded the running of WHO SAID SO and BLACK KOALA, causing both to lose momentum.  Leaving the turn into the front straight, WAZZA QUEEN was tightened for racing room and impeded.

 

Race 4 - WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM NOVICE (2) – 431M

 

RAPID STATE was best to begin.  Shortly after the start, ALPHA PHOEBE, ONE WHISPER and MONTRACHET raced tight and checked before losing ground.  Leaving the turn into the back straight, ONE WHISPER checked off heels and lost ground.  MONTRACHET raced wide through the top turn and also through the turn into the front straight.

 

Race 5 – CITY COUNTRY FOOD SERVICE MA5 – 431M

 

HOLLY KNOCKS and RUMBLING JAKE were best to begin.  In the 1st turn, BRIGHTEST STAR, LEISURE SEEKER and HOLLY KNOCKS raced tight and bumped on occasion.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, DON’T SEAMUS shifted out checking into GALWAY BLUEBIRD.  Shortly after, GALWAY BLUEBIRD checked off heels and lost ground.  Leaving the turn into the back straight, HOLLY KNOCKS improved onto the heels of BRIGHTEST STAR, causing BRIGHTEST STAR to lose momentum.  Approaching the top turn, BRIGHTEST STAR was impeded and shifted out.  Leaving the turn into the front straight, SNOW GIRL shifted out checking into ENZO JAZZ as it did, resulting in both greyhounds colliding into DON’T SEAMUS, causing all three greyhounds to lose ground. 

 

The greyhound BRIGHTEST STAR underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 6 - WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 5TH GRADE HEAT 1– 431M

 

SISTER SHAZ and ASH TIDE were both marginally slow to begin.  In the 1st turn, the entire field, with the exception of REACTOR and MISS AMELIA, came together and checked, causing SISTER SHAZ to come into contact with the running rail and all other greyhounds losing ground at varying degrees.  Leaving the top turn, SISTER SHAZ improved onto the rear of MISS AMELIA, became severely unbalanced and lost substantial ground as a consequence.  Shortly after ZILLIE BEAN improved onto the rear of WERINA MAGIC, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  Leaving the turn into the front straight, GUNLEE ROCKER shifted out and collided with ZILLIE BEAN, causing ZILLIE BEAN to lose ground. 

 

The greyhound SISTER SHAZ underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 7 – KAYPAT LODGE MIXED 4/5TH GRADE – 431M

 

I’VE GOT CENTS was best to begin, FABULOUS BILL was slow.  Approaching the 1st turn, VALKYRIE BLUE and I’VE GOT CENTS checked, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  Approaching the top turn, SNOWBALL CREED improved onto the heels of I’VE GOT CENTS, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  Leaving the turn into the front straight, ODESSA shifted out and collided into the rear of PLANE SPOTTER and lost considerable ground as a result. 

 

Race 8 - WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM MIXED 3/4TH GRADE – 431M

 

AZA ZEUS was best to begin.  FONIC LASS was marginally slow.  At the 1st turn, the entire field, with the exception of AZA ZEUS, came together and checked, with all losing ground to differing degrees.  Leaving the turn into the back straight, LIGHTNING WHITE, GUY FAWKES and FARMOR IN TUNE raced tight and checked.  FONIC LASS raced wide down the back straight.  Approaching the top turn, LIGHTNING WHITE shifted in sharply, causing DO THAT PHOEBEE to check off heels, shift out, and collide heavily into FARMOR IN TUNE resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  FONIC LASS, which was trailing, collided heavily into those two greyhounds and lost significant ground as a consequence.

 

The greyhound FONIC LASS underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound DO THAT PHOEBEE underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 9 – GREG STERNBERG VET SURGEON 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 – 431M

 

MASTER BULLET and AL BRUTON were best to begin.   In the 1st turn, VAQUERO was tightened for racing room, became severely unbalanced and fell.  Leaving the turn into the back straight, ANNIE’S MAGIC shifted out and checked into DAILY MUSTER, causing both greyhounds to lose momentum.  Approaching the top turn, CLICK COWAN was impeded and shifted out.

 

The greyhound VAQUERO underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 10 - WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 – 431M

 

WILDASH TOM and MADRE were marginally slow to begin.  SPRING BENNIE raced wide through the turn into the back straight.  Leaving the turn into the back straight, HEARTS TO HEARTS and SAY ABRACADABRA raced tight and checked.  REAL JAZZ raced wide through the top turn.  WILDASH TOM raced wide through the turn into the front straight, and remained wide for the remainder of the race.
