Race 1 – ADOPT A GREYHOUND MDNPW – 431M

 

Best away was RUSSIAN ROULETTE, with ELUSIVE FANCY slowly away.  Soon after the start, SPRING PHOENIX and BONITA DE KAHN collide.  In the back straight, ELUSIVE FANCY was wide.  Entering the top turn, PARANELLA eased.  In the home straight, CRYSTAL CASCADE was wide, with PARANELLA taking no further part in the event. 

 

The greyhound MAYWYN’S XENA underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Connection to the greyhound PARANELLA was advised that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69a Failing to Pursue 1st Offence, with the greyhound to be stood down for 28 days, and must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial prior to racing.

 

Race 2 – SKY RACING MAIDEN – 431M

 

Best away was MADAM KARMAR, with STRAIT RUM slowly away.  Soon after the start, REGAL REPORT, CRUEL SEA and MADAM KARMAR all collide.  Approaching the turn in the back straight, MISS EMMY checked off the heels of RISING BEYOND.  Entering the back straight, CRUEL SEA, VALDA THE VIKING and MAYWYN’S XENA all collide.  In the back straight, CRUEL SEA and MAYWYN’S XENA collide.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, VALDA THE VIKING checked off the heels of MADAM KARMAR.  In the home straight, MISS EMMY was wide. 

 

Race 3 – GREYHOUND_DATA.COM NOVICE – 431M

 

Even start, with BOKARM RAY and SHIELD ME slowly away.  Soon after the start, HEADSPIN and SIR RAVEN collide.  Entering the turn into the back straight, HEADSPIN checked off the heels of SIR RAVEN, causing HEADSPIN to stumble.  In the back straight and home straight, BALLYMAC JAY was wide. 

 

The greyhound HEADSPIN underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near wrist and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

Best away was PROSPECT and CRUIZE’S MAGIC, with ZILLIE BEAN slowly away. Soon after the start, TUBBY TURNER, SAY ABRACADABRA and GUY FAWKES all collide.  Entering the turn into the back straight, TUBBY TURNER and GUY FAWKES collide.  In the back straight, CRUIZE’S MAGIC was wide.  On the top turn, TUBBY TURNER and CRUIZE’S MAGIC collide.  In the home straight, GOOD DAZE AHEAD was wide.

Race 5 – CITY COUNTRY FOOD SERVICE 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 – 431M

 

Best away was EGYPTIAN SPOT and NO LAYING BACK, with ALPHA RHEA slowly away.  Soon after the start, EGYPTIAN SPOT and SPRING WINE collide.  Entering the back straight, SLEEK STYLE checked off the heels of NO LAYING BACK.  In the back straight, LUCA BAZOOKA was wide.  In the home straight, NO LAYING BACK was wide.

Even start, with BROOKE JEALOUS slowly away.  Entering the home straight on the 1st occasion, AGENT’S CHOICE and PHANTOM PETE collide.  In the home straight the 1s time, GALWAY PANTHER was wide.  In the back straight, BROOKE JEALOUS and GALWAY PANTHER collide.  In the home straight, GALWAY PANTHER was wide. 

 

Race 7 – JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS 4/5TH GRADE FINAL MIXED 4/5TH GRADE – 431M

 

Even start, with RED VEE slowly away. Soon after the start, COPY WORKSHOP and HEARTS TO HEARTS collide, causing HEARTS TO HEARTS to drop back, checking NEVER A DOUBT, causing HEARTS TO HEARTS to take no further competitive part in the event.  Entering the back straight, WILDASH CECIL and SPRING COLLEEN collide, causing SPRING COLLEEN to race wide in the back straight.  Entering the turn out of the back straight, WILDASH CECIL eased and took no further competitive part in the event. 

 

The greyhound RED VEE underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound HEARTS TO HEARTS underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound WILDASH CECIL underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

 

Race 8 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM MIXED 3/4TH GRADE – 431M

 

Best away was ILLAWONG COWGIRL, with PYRO BOB slowly away.  Entering the back straight, SPRING ROY checked off the heels of SHADOW COURT, causing SPRING ROY to drop back, causing PYRO BOB to check off SPRING ROY’s heels.  Entering the turn out of the back straight, PYRO BOB and ARFA SHOW OFF collide.  In the home straight, HAD BETTER DAZE was wide. 

 

The greyhound PYRO BOB underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the back and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 9 – GJ WALSH & CO 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 – 431M

 

Best away was THANKING PETER, with GIFTED ANGEL slowly away.  Soon after the start, THANKING PETER and MAGIC CODE collide.  Entering the back straight, REAL JAZZ checked off the heels of LILY’S BEAN.  In the home straight, REAL JAZZ was wide.

 

The greyhound GIFTED ANGEL underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near side hip and was stood down for a period of 7 days.
