Race 1 – ADOPT A
GREYHOUND - NOVICE – 520M
SHIELD
ME began awkwardly and lost ground. ELLIE
GRACE and TAHBILK bumped at the start. Shortly after the start MY BOUQUET was
tightened for room and checked in across heels. GENIE’S GIRL collided with
HARDLY NORMAL. Approaching the 1st
turn, MY BOUQUET was tightened for room and hampered. ELLIE GRACE, which was trailing, was
hampered. On entering the 1st
turn, CASH TRAIL collided with ZIP ZIP RUMBLE,
checked out across heels and collided with SHIELD ME, which was forced out
wider on the track. TAHBILK then
collided with CASH TRAIL which was checked.
Entering the back straight, HARDLY NORMAL was tightened for room and
hampered. Out of the back straight into
the turn, MY BOUQUET was tightened for room and checked. On entering the front straight, TAHBILK
checked out across heels and forced CASH TRAIL wide.
Race 2 – SKY RACING –
MA5 – 520M
PRATER’S RECRUIT was best to begin.
SORRENTO was slow to begin.
Shortly after the start, SIRIUS STAR checked out across heels and bumped
BIG TURLS. Approaching the 1st
turn, AZA ZUES shifted in and collided with TWIN GALAXY, which then shifted in
and bumped INDIAN GIVER. TWIN GALAXY
checked out across heels, taking SIRIUS STAR and BIG TURLS wider on the
track. Through the turn into the back
straight, INDIAN GIVER checked out across heels and collided with SORRENTO,
which shifted out and bumped TWIN GALAXY.
Out of the back straight into the turn, INDIAN GIVER was tightened for
room and checked. Through the turn into
the front straight, LOGAN CITY improved onto the heels and shifted out. Shortly after, SORRENTO collided with LOGAN
CITY, which collided with AZA ZEUS.
The greyhound TWIN GALAXY underwent a post-race veterinary examination after
falling in the catching pen and no apparent injuries were found.

MAYWYN
REWARDS was best to begin. Shortly after
the start, GYPSY WILD bumped SMALL JEWEL, shifted inwards and collided with
GALWAY JOHANN which was checked. GALWAY
JOHANN shifted out and collided with MAHONEY.
On entering the 1st turn, MAHONEY collided with HARA’S FLAME,
was severely checked, shifted out and collided with GALWAY JOHANN. MAHONEY fell
and took no further competitive part in the event. GALWAY JOHANN and GYPSY WILD were
checked. Out of the back straight into
the turn, GYPSY WILD and ORWELLIAN collided.
Shortly after, ORWELLIAN was tightened for room and checked out across
heels.
The
greyhound MAHONEY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent
injuries were found.
Race 4 –
GREYHOUND_DATA.COM – MIXED 4/5 – 520M
VISIGOTH
was slow to begin. On entering the 1st
turn, FEMME FOLLE, REGALL RECALL, BAD NEIGHBOUR and PROPER GENT all collided
and were checked. VISIGOTH, KALANI KARL
and RULE THE ROAD all collided. Through
the turn into the back straight, REGAL RECALL was tightened for room and
hampered. Over the concluding stages of
the event, BAD NEIGHBOUR was tightened for room and hampered.

Shortly
after the start GELANTIPY GOLD was tightened for room and checked. HOT EMBER and FLYAWAY BARB bumped. Out of the front straight into the turn, HOT
EMBER and GELANTIPY GOLD collided and shifted out wider on the track.
Race 6 – IPSWICH CUP
CONSOLATION – OPEN – 520M
NIKKI NETTLE and
CODRINGTON KID were best to begin. KULU
HIPSTER and BIG BAD BOB bumped at the start.
Approaching the 1st turn, NIKKI NETTLE and JURY were both
tightened for room and hampered. On
entering the 1st turn, NIKKI NETTLE and COMANECI collided and
shifted out, forcing SOFT SAND wider on the track. Through the turn into the
back straight, ARDEN STREET and JURY bumped.
Out of the back straight into the turn, SOFT SAND and KULU HIPSTER
collided and were checked.
Race 7 – IPSWICH SPRINT
FINAL – OPEN – 431M
GO LASSIE GO and LOBCHA
were best to begin. IMPATIENT KID was
slow to begin. On entering the back
straight, CORYKODI checked out across heels.
Out of the back straight into the turn, BIKINI CLOUD was tightened for room
and checked. IMPATIENT KID collided with
the running rail and was checked.
The greyhound IMPATIENT
KID underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were
found.
Race 8 – IPSWICH CUP
(G3) FINAL – OPEN – 520M
FAB FIT was best to
begin. RIO BRAVE was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, DOUBLE SPUR bumped
DEL REY. On entering the 1st
turn, COSMIC BONUS collided with FAB FIT, was checked and then collided with
PAINTED PICTURE, which was forced out wider on the track. DOUBLE SPUR, which was trailing, contacted
the heels of COSMIC BONUS and was checked.
CRAZY BELLA, DEL REY and RIO BRAVE all collided and were checked. Through the turn into the back straight, CRAZY
BELLA, DEL REY and RIO BRAVE collided again and all were checked. Shortly after, COSMIC BONUS checked out
across heels. Out of the back straight
into the turn, DOUBLE SPUR and RIO BRAVE collided. Through the turn into the front straight, RIO
BRAVE checked out across heels and collided with DOUBLE SPUR.

SMART MARLOW, KEALOAH
and POWER SERVICE all bumped at the start.
MAN OF LEISURE, ONE DOLLAR and CAN’T POSSIBLY bumped. Shortly after the start, KEALOAH and CAN’T
POSSIBLY bumped. Approaching the 1st
turn, MAN OF LEISURE contacted the heels of STROGANOFF, which was severely
checked. ONE DOLLAR, which was trailing,
collided with MAN OF LEISURE, fell, and took no further competitive part in the
event. Shortly after, CAN’T POSSIBLY
bumped KEALOAH. Through the turn into
the front straight, MAN OF LEISURE improved onto heels and was hampered. In the front straight, CAN’T POSSIBLY shifted
out and collided with SPECIAL COVER, which shifted outwards and then collided
with KEALOAH.
The greyhound ONE
DOLLAR underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have
sustained an injury to the near hind leg and was humanely euthanised.

On entering the 1st
turn, all runners collided with the exception of BALLYMAC JAY and were checked
to varying degrees. On entering the back
straight, REGAL SAPPHIRE and SLEEK STYLE collided and were checked. Out of the back straight into the turn,
ELUSIVE ARROW and RAZZIAI RAIN bumped.
The greyhound NOT TOO
BOSSY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries
were found.
