Race 1 - TAB MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 431m

1 Bay bumped through the first turn. Checked off heels when entering the back straight and lost considerable ground. Raced wide in the home straight.

 

2 Winter's Coming – permitted a weight variation of 32.8 – 34.3 (1.5kg) under the provisions of GAR 39(2). bumped through the first turn.

 

6 Cabernet Merlot – bumped at the start. Raced wide in the home straight.

 

8 Wildey Beast – bumped at the start.

 

Race 2 – SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 431m

3 Ringbark Clancy – slow to begin.

 

8 Beachcomber – checked off heels when rounding the turn into the back straight.

3 Spring Curly – checked off heels through the first turn. Checked off heels leaving the back straight. Momentarily hampered in the home straight by another runner.

 

6 Uncle Leo – bumped shortly after the start.

 

8 Farmor Sambuca – bumped shortly after the start.

 

10 Miss Ladybird – bumped through the first turn then checked out off heels and lost considerable ground.

 

Race 4 – DOVER & SONS NOVICE (1) 431m

1 Jayville Torpedo – was permitted a weight variation of 30.1 – 31.5 (1.4kg) under the provisions of GAR 39(2).

 

2 Duck Inn – bumped at the start. Tightened for room, severely checked, made heavy contact with the running rail and subsequently fell when leaving the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed bruising to the nearside hind leg and was stood down for 10 days.

 

8 Alpha Alvis – A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Checked off heels through the first turn. Shifted wide on the turn leaving the back straight avoiding contact with a fallen runner.

 

Race 5 – ADVENTURE TOURISM NOVICE (2) 431m

1 Miss Conduct – A pre-race veterinary examination passed the greyhound fit to start. Slow to begin. Lost ground after being severely checked through the first turn. Checked off heels rounding the turn out of the back straight.

 

2 Spring Motion – slow to begin. Checked when rounding the turn into the back straight.

 

6 Forgotten – checked shortly after the start when tightened for room. Severely checked through the first turn when tightened for room and lost ground.

 

8 Werina Goes Bang- collided with other runners through the first turn and lost ground.

2 Miss Grasscutter – best to begin. Bumped with another runner in the home straight.

 

3 Coopes – Lost ground after checking off heels when leaving the back straight.

 

4 Alpha Hestia – declared a late scratching at 1.22pm when found to be more than the permitted weight variation under the provisions of GAR 39(1). Trainer M. Cuneo was fined the sum of $50.

 

5 Maywyn Onyx – checked through the first turn. Bumped with another runner in the home straight.

 

6 Sustain The Rage – severely checked through the first turn.

 

7 Pine's Pick – severely checked through the first turn.

 

8 Spring Iris – severely checked through the first turn.

 

Race 7 – GREG STERNBERG VET SURGEON GRADE 5 520m

3 Danyo's Lozza – bumped at the start. Bumped leaving the back straight.

 

5 Sequana – bumped at the start.

 

6 Special Karmer – trainer K Davies was fined the sum of $100 under the provisions of GAR 23(7) for an unacceptable reason for scratching.

 

7 Javens – bumped entering the first turn. Bumped leaving the back straight.

 

10 Nikki Nettle – bumped entering the first turn.

2 Spring Wattle – bumped when rounding the turn into the home straight.

 

3 Proper Gent – severely checked through the first turn.

 

4 Little Ach Cee – severely checked through the first turn. Checked off heels leaving the back straight.
