Other Comments / Explanations: Due to Government advice around COVID-19, in accordance with GAR 51(10), the Stewards directed the Starter to box the greyhounds into the starting boxes in the following order, 1 & 5, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8 for all races
Race 1 - TAB MAIDEN (1) 288m 1 Flying Malou- Quick to begin. 2 Hidden Pearl- Quick to begin. 5 Catalina Blue- Tightened for room entering the first turn and was checked. Collided with another runner rounding the turn into the home straight. 6 Three Horn- Collided with another runner rounding the turn into the home straight. 7 Cherokee Duck- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. 8 Cabernet Merlot- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked.
Race 2 – SKY RACING MAIDEN (2) 288m 2 Door Knob- Shifted in at the start, contacted the hindquarters of another runner and was hampered. Collided with another runner entering the first turn and was checked. 4 Winter's Coming- Checked off heels shortly after the start. Contacted another runner entering the first turn and was checked. 6 Tosca Jane- Had its heels contacted through the first turn. 7 Double Slayer- Checked off heels through the first turn. 8 Rock On Roxy- Slow to begin. Checked off heels entering the first turn. 10 (Box 5) Austria's Heidi- Quick to begin. Raced wide into the home straight.
Race 3 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM MAIDEN (3) 288m 2 Slip The Cuffs- Tightened for room entering the first turn and was checked. 5 Gers Dream- Checked off heels entering the first turn. 6 Settling Dust- Had its heels contacted entering the first turn. 7 Atomic Mac- Slow to begin. 8 Team Austria- Stumbled at the start and lost ground. Checked off heels entering the home straight.
Race 4 – GREYHOUND_DATA.COM NOVICE 288m 4 Farrah's Legacy- Collided with another runner entering the home straight and was checked. 5 Mookie Sox- Collided with another runner entering the home straight and was checked. 8 Apache Heat- Raced wide into the home straight.
Race 5 – DOVER & SONS 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 431m 5 Yogi's My Dad- Marginally slow to begin. Shifted out in the home straight and colliding with another runner. Turned its head outwards making muzzle contact to Bundy a Blaze in the run to the finish. Stewards spoke to Mr. O’reilly, the trainer of Yogi’s My Dad, regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Yogi’s My Dad was charged with marring and is suspended for a period of 3 months and must perform a Satisfactory Trial, pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted. 6 Haigslea Flyer- Quick to begin. Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. Underwent a post- race veterinary examination which did not reveal any significant findings other than Haiglsea Flyer had cramped in the catching pen after the event. Stewards requested that the Haiglsea Flyer be re-examined by the veterinarian once cooled down. The subsequent examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Stewards spoke to Kennel representative Mr. S Tribe, who stated that the kennel was disappointed in the overall performance of Haigslea Flyer’s in today’s event, however could not contribute further explanation other than the early race interference. Stewards requested the kennel to inform the stewards pursuant to GAR75(2) should anything that might have a bearing on past or future running of Haigslea Flyer come to notice of the trainer after the greyhound has left the course, it shall be reported to the stewards as soon as practicable. 8 Aerobic Zone- Checked and forced wider on the track through the first turn. 10 (Box 7) Bundy A Blaze- Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was checked.
Race 6 – BEENLEIGH LEGAL 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 431m 2 Lovely Stunner- Quick to begin. 5 Stitched Up Flo- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. 6 See Them Try- Collided with another runner immediately after the start. 7 Centigram- Marginally slow to begin, tightened for room and was checked. 8 That's It Dennis- Shifted in at the start, colliding with a runner to the inside and was checked.
Race 7 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 GRADE 5 431m 1 Cassadora- Bumped another runner through the first turn and was inconvenienced. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings. Stewards requested Mr. Forrester inform the stewards pursuant to GAR75(2) should anything that might have a bearing on past or future running of Cassadora come to notice of the trainer after the greyhound has left the course, it shall be reported to the stewards as soon as practicable. 2 Dinah Shian- Collided with another runner immediately after the start. Galloped onto the heels of another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight and was checked. 3 Bubbles And Brie- Slow to begin, tightened for room and was checked. Raced wide throughout. 5 Townson Beach- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. 7 Mitchell John- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. Raced wide throughout.
Race 8 – GREYHOUND GEAR 5TH GRADE HEAT 4 GRADE 5 431m 2 Cut The Talk- Collided with another runner immediately after the start and was checked. Contacted the heels of another runner entering the turn out of the back straight and was severely checked. 4 Spring Halo- Shifted out at the start colliding with another runner and was checked. 6 Zuleika- Tightened for room and was inconvenienced when racing through the turn out of the back straight. 7 Farrah's Fling- Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was checked.
Race 9 – TAB GRADE 4 431m 1 He's A Minstrel- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. 2 Copy Workshop- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. 4 Farmor Watch You- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was severely checked. 5 Giggling Sal- Collided with another runner through the first turn, was severely checked and fell. Trailed the field for the remainder on the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings. Stewards requested Mr. Evans inform the stewards pursuant to GAR75(2) should anything that might have a bearing on past or future running of Giggling Sal come to notice of the trainer after the greyhound has left the course, it shall be reported to the stewards as soon as practicable. 6 Urban Folk- Shifted out at the start. 7 Zabdon Charlie- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. 8 Daniel's Loss- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked.
Race 10 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM MA5 431m 1 Crazy Bella- Quick to begin. 2 Rising Son- Slow to begin. Checked off heels entering the turn out of the back straight. Shifted out entering the home straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the nearside pin muscle and was stood down for 10 days. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Patching, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B(1), Rising Son was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Rising Son must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 69B(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted. Mr. Patching told stewards that due to the age of Rising Son he will look to retire the greyhound. 3 Eye Hate Cake- Checked off heels through the first turn.
