Race 1 - TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY MAIDEN 2 520m

 

1 Hot Lollies – Approaching the 1st turn checked across heels.

 

2 Boxing On – Slow to begin, took the 1st turn wide.

 

4 Our Plumber – Into the back turn was checked.

 

6 Pokie Jackpot – Slow to begin.

 

 

 

Race 2 - SKY RACING NOVICE 2 520m

 

1 Fernvale Flash – Approaching the 1st turn was checked, into the 1st turn was inconvenienced.

 

2 Alpha Tiara - Into the 1st turn shifted out across heels taking the turn wide as a result.

 

3 Rio Riley – Into the 1st turn checked across heels, through the 1st turn was bumped heavily by another runner.

 

4 Yogi's Girl – Through the 1st turn shifted out colliding with another runner.

 

8 Miss Fleur – Approaching the back turned was tightened and checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside hock and was stood down from racing for 42 days and must complete a steward’s trial prior to racing next once the injury period has expired.

2 Lady Periwinkle – Slow to begin.

 

3 Frosty Helen – Slow to begin, into the 1st turn was checked, approaching the back turn was tightened and checked.

 

6 Yesterday Knight – Slow to begin, leaving the 1st turn checked across heels. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside pectoral strain and was stood down from racing for 10 days.

 

 

 

Race 4 - DOVER & SONS GRADE 5 (1) 2 431m

 

1 Born To Lead – Into the 1st turn was checked.

 

2 Cow Palace – Through the 1st turn was tightened and checked across heels, over the final stages improved onto heels

 

3 Buster Up – Rounding the home turn shifted out marring another runner. Stewards spoke to trainer Peter O’Reilly regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay, stewards deemed that Buster Up did make head contact with the greyhound to its outside therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Buster Up was suspended from racing at all tracks for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

5 Antonio's Pride – Into the 1st turn was checked.

 

6 Energetic Cloud - Slow to begin, into the 1st turn was checked.

 

7 Flight To Mars – Rounding the home turn was inconvenienced after being marred by another runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its nearside hip and was stood down from racing for 7 days.

 

8 Nandina – Rounding the home turn was taken wider on the track.

 

 

 

Race 5 - ROWAN ANDERSON JOURNALIST MIXED 4/5 2 431m

 

1 Ron's Brother – Into the 1st turn was tightened.

 

2 Flying Jet – Into the 1st turn was checked, approaching the back turn was checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer P O’Reilly stated it would be his intentions to retire the greyhound after tonight’s performance.

 

3 Spring Pirate – Into the 1st turn was checked, rounding the home turn checked across heels

 

6 High Lighter – Into the 1st turn was checked.

 

7 Spring Bowler – Entering the back straight was checked.

6 Night Shift – Slow to begin, rounding the home turn was held up for clear running.

2 Runway Emma – Slow to begin, rounding the home turn was held up for clear running.

 

4 Come On Aussie – Slow to begin.

 

 

 

Race 8 - SKY RACING 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 2 520m

 

1 Willow's Axle – Into the 1st turn was tightened, into the back turn was tightened. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its nearside hip and was stood down from racing for 14 days.

 

2 Ritza Rebel – Entering the back straight was checked.

 

4 Miss Slimm – Entering the back straight improved onto heels, into the back turn improved onto heels and was checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

7 Reggie's Brother – Slow to begin.

 

8 Spring Kono – Entering the back straight was inconvenienced.

2 Emerald Dragon – Rounding the home turn was checked.

 

3 Cake Is Good – Rounding the home turn was checked.

 

4 Bailey – Through the 1st turn was inconvenienced.

 

5 Majestic Man – Shortly after the start was tightened.

 

6 Godges – Slow to begin.

 

7 Quinine – Through the 1st turn checked across heels, in the back straight checked across heels, rounding the home turn checked across heels.

 

8 Herman Maze Key – Approaching the back turn was checked.

 

 

 

Race 11 – TAB GRADE 5 (3) 2 431m

 

4 Stick Hunter – Rounding the home turn was inconvenienced.

 

5 Ruby's Angel – Into the 1st turn was checked.

 

6 Dandy Battler – Slow to begin, rounding the home turn checked across heels. In the home straight turned its head outwards taking its attention away from the lure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Serena Lawrance regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight, after reviewing the video replay and the submissions from Ms Lawrance stewards could not be satisfied Dandy Battler made head or muzzle contact with greyhound to its outside therefore invoked GAR 124(1) Failing to purse. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Dandy Battler was suspended from racing at Ipswich for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

7 Samson Power – Into the 1st turn was checked.

 

8 Mohawk Mindy – Into the 1st turn was checked.

1 Mine – Leaving the 1st turn was tightened and checked, in the back straight was severely checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

2 Cake Is Bad – Shortly after the start was inconvenienced.

 

3 Ringbark Storm – Slow to begin.

 

4 Wow She's Cheeky – Into the 1st turn was checked, in the back straight improved onto heels.

 

5 Fabulous Gal – Into the 1st turn was inconvenienced.

 

7 Queen Of Samson – In the back straight made contact with the running rail, rounding the home turn was tightened. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its nearside hip and was stood down from racing for 7 days.

 

8 Tarawi Elsa – Into the 1st turn was inconvenienced.
