General: Due to the 630m starting boxes not being able to be closed and locked prior to the running of race 10, time was requested by the club staff to fix the issue. Therefore, Stewards elected to go back one race timeslot whilst the problem with the starting boxes was successfully fixed. Race 10 was started manually. New race times were listed below.

 

Race 10 – 8:48pm

Race 11 – 9:10pm

Race 12 – 9:30pm

 

 

 

Race 1 - TAB LIVE SKY RACING VISION MAIDEN 2 520m

 

 

 

1 Raven Rose – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the turn off the back straight.

 

 

 

4 All Torque – Slow to begin. Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the turn into the back straight.

 

 

 

5 Galway Clancy – Slow to begin. Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked.

 

 

 

8 Our Plumber – Bumped by another runner rounding the first turn and became momentarily unbalanced. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the turn off the back straight.

 

 

 

 

 

Race 2 - SKY RACING NOVICE 2 520m

 

 

 

3 Flying Megs – Shifted out and bumped with another runner rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

 

 

 

4 Midnight Ember – Bumped by another runner rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

 

 

 

7 Sam Wilson – Slow to begin. Bumped by another runner and forced to race wide rounding the first turn.

5 Glittering Ace – Slow to begin.

2 Samson's Delilah – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

 

 

 

5 Cow Palace – Tightened for racing room approaching the first turn and was checked losing ground. Raced wide through the first turn.

 

 

 

6 He's Got Gossip – Improved onto the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

1 Hara's River – Checked across the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

 

 

 

2 Declan Monelli – Slow to begin.

 

 

 

4 Embrace – Shifted out and bumped with another runner rounding the first turn.

 

 

 

7 Select Moment – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn. Improved onto the heels of another runner approaching the finishing line.

 

 

 

8 Dixie Gambles – Clipped on the heels by another runner approaching the finishing line.

 

 

 

 

 

Race 9 - ROWAN ANDERSON JOURNALIST GRADE 5 (2) 2 431m

 

 

 

2 Union Surprise – Slow to begin.

 

 

 

6 Queen Of Samson – Bumped by another runner and forced to race wide through the first turn. Took several awkward strides rounding the turn off the back straight and lost considerable ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed an injury to the nearside hip support and was stood down from racing for 10 days.

 

 

 

7 Got That Boodie – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

 

 

 

 

 

Race 10 – TAB NMW 3 630m

 

 

 

1 Night Shift – Slow to begin. Bumped with another runner approaching the home turn.

 

 

 

2 You Orson You – Raced wide through the first turn.

 

 

 

3 Miss Neisha – Bumped by another runner approaching the home turn. Finished the race tailed off last. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Nathan Evans regarding the greyhound’s performance. Mr Evans stated that after discussions with the owner he would attempt to step Miss Neisha up in distance. Trainer N Evans stated that after tonight’s first attempt at the 630m, the greyhound did not run the trip and will place Miss Neisha back to shorter race distances in future starts. Stewards noted the explanation and took no further action.

 

 

 

6 Underwater – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

 

 

 

 

 

Race 11 - SKY RACING MIXED 3/4 2 431m

 

The All Clear was delayed by the Stewards to review the race footage after several birds were seen flying in the vicinity of the field nearing the home turn. After reviewing the footage and acting on their own observations of the race, Stewards were comfortably satisfied that no greyhounds were materially affected. Therefore, All Clear was declared on the semaphored numbers.

 

 

 

 

3 Ticket To Venus – Tightened for racing for room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground. Bumped by another runner rounding the home turn and became momentarily unbalanced.

 

 

 

5 Fernvale Rocket – Tightened for racing for room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the home turn and lost ground.

 

 

 

6 Remember Col – Slow to begin. Improved onto the heels of another runner rounding the turn into the back straight.

 

 

 

7 Paw It On – Bumped by another runner rounding the first turn and became momentarily unbalanced.

5 Bold Hornet – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the turn into the back straight. Raced wide through the home turn and throughout the remainder of the race.

 

 

 

7 Desley's Girl – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn. Dragged down by another runner rounding the turn into the back straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed a laceration the off foreleg and was stood down from racing for 5 days.

 

 

 

9 Lala Sister Girl (4) – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground. Bumped by another runner in the back straight.
