Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 288m

 

1 Hillside Howler – Entering the first turn tightened and checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injuries.

 

3 Nickel White – Through the first turn made contact with the running rail. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injuries.

 

6 Speed Roy – Through the first turn was checked and ran wide. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injuries.

5 Unlimited Beauty – Entering the first turn checked. Gave significant ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injuries. Stewards spoke to trainer representative H Bock regarding the greyhound’s performance. He stated the greyhound always begins well but has reoccurring issues when entering the turn. H Bock also stated the trainer plans on retiring the greyhound.

 

 

 

Race 4 - DOVER & SONS MAIDEN HEAT 4 MAIDEN 288m

 

8 Panama Pursuit - Late scratching at 9:15am pursuant to GAR 77(1) due to being on season. The greyhound has been stood down for 28 days.

 

5 Sirius Charlie - Late scratching at 10:59am pursuant to GAR 92(2) due to an injury to the nearside bicep. The greyhound has been stood down for 5 days.

 

 

 

Race 5 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS MAIDEN HEAT 5 MAIDEN 288m

 

6 Flying Zambrora – Slow away. Gave significant ground throughout the course of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside hock. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 10 days.

 

Race 6 - CHASE NEWSPAPER MIXED 1/2 288m

 

8 Spring Rock – Through the first turn was checked. Shortly after the finish line was dragged down. A post-race veterinary revealed no significant injuries.

 

Race 7 - GREYHOUND GEAR NOVICE (1) 288m

Race 8 - M & K BUTCHERS MIXED 3/4 288m

Race 9 - CENTURY POOLS NOVICE (2) 288m

 

1 You Know Better - Late scratching at 10:19am pursuant to GAR 76(2) due to an offside hindleg back muscle injury. The greyhound has been stood down for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to returning to racing.

 

5 Alpha Cyrus – A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside calf muscle. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 5 days.

 

 

Race 10 – TAB NOVICE (3) 288m

 

3 Girl Torque – Entering the first turn was checked and fell. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injuries.

 

4 Zar’s Rescue – Entering the first was checked and fell. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injuries.

 

Race 11 - SKY RACING NOVICE (4) 288m

 

3 Mystical Girl – Through the first turn contacts the running rail. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injuries.

 

Race 12 - TAB VENUE MODE NPW 288m

 

5 Kokoda Beach – Steward’s spoke to trainer representative Mrs B Champan regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Failing to purse by reason of injury. The greyhound was subsequently stood from racing for 10 days at all tracks, and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
