RACE DAY SUMMARY

Due to rain commencing in Rockhampton on Tuesday afternoon and continuing to rain throughout the night and early morning.

Stewards conducted an inspection of the Callaghan Park Greyhound track at 11:30am with the track curator today to determine the fate of the meeting.

With this inspection the track was found to be water logged and unsafe for racing due to washouts in the track and continuing rain in the past 24 hours where over 110mm of rain has been recorded.

Due to the state of the track with washouts that would need fixing and continuing rain the decision was made to abandon the meeting at 12:00 midday.

All relevant authorities were duly notified of the decision.
