Race 1 –RQ TRAVEL MAIDENHEAT 1 407Metres

 

Due one of the leading greyhounds balking and going back through the field and hampering other greyhounds after getting to within one metre of the lure in the back straight . Stewards acting under the terms of R57(1) declared Race 1 a No Race. As Race 1 was a qualifying heat Stewards acting under the terms of R57(2)(a) declared VELOCITY CARA an automatic qualifier for the final and the other 3 positions would be decided by ballot under R57(2)(b).

 

Race 2 –RQ TRAVEL MAIDEN HEAT 2 407Metres

 

MULLIGAN BEACH was slow into stride.

FRANKIE CARLO was slow to begin and ran into the back of another runner approaching the first turn. Checked off the back of another runner entering the back straight.

LONE RIDER was checked and lost ground approaching the first turn.

WOULDN’T IT BE was slow to begin.

TREASURE’S LAD checked off the back of another runner leaving the back straight.

 

Race 3 –ROCKY FEED AND SEED NOVICE 407Metres

 

ROSE TEXADA was slow into stride.

CAMPFIRE KID checked on the first corner then again in the back straight,

RED BRIANNA checked going around the first corner.

LIKA CINNAMON checked and lost ground in the back straight.

 

Race 4 –TAB 5th GRADE 407Metres

 

FIVE FORTY was slow into stride and raced wide throughout.

MYSTERIOUS ROSE was slow to begin.

LIGHT THE BARBIE checked and lost ground in the back straight.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Race 5 –PATLAW SECURITIES 5thGRADE 407Metres

 

APOLLO’S WARRIOR was slow to begin and was hampered in the home straight.

SPARKY LASS was slow into stride, shifted out and hampered runners on the outside in the home in the home straight. Was sent for a post race veterinary inspection and was found to be sore in both hind legs. Trainer Trent Thorley was advised that SPARKY LASS was stood down from racing for a period of 10 days.

NIA ALLEN checked entering the back straight and was hampered by another runner in the home straight.

DE GEA checked in the back straight.

HACIENDA was hampered by another runner in the home straight.

FIESTY SENORITA fell after the finish line and was sent for a post race veterinary examination and no abnormalities were found.

 

Race 6 –DYNAMIC ELECTRICAL 4th& 5thGRADE 407Metres

 

HACIENDA was extremely slow to begin and checked off heels leaving the back straight, was bumped by another runner coming around the home turn.

MAGIC BENZ checked outwards off heels coming around the home turn.

 

Race 7 –DYPLOCKS COLLISION AND REPAIR CENTRE 5F 407Metres

 

DUDE OF DUDS was slow to begin and raced wide throughout.

CATER STREET was slow to begin.

 

Race 8 –NEWSXPRESS BEST 8 407Metres

 

DIGGER’S COVE was extremely slow to begin.

RED JAMIE raced wide throughout.

HARA’S SKYLAH was checked leaving the back straight.
