General:

 

Following review of the race replay,  Stewards Race 4 a “No Race” in accordance with GAR 110(1). Entering the first turn the dogs checked and slowed and the lure got approximately 20 -25 lengths in front of the greyhounds and the lure was not properly back under control early enough and caused some of the greyhounds in the field to clearly slow and lose interest in the race.

 

Trainer Shane Topping entered a plea of guilty and was fined the sum

of $100.00 in respect of a charge issued pursuant to Greyhounds Australasia Rule

101(3)(b) upon the greyhound Jury’s Out weighing in at 30.6kg, being a

variation of 1.4kg from the weight recorded in the greyhound’s most recent

event, with the greyhound subsequently being scratched from Race 6 and stood

down from racing for ten (10) days pursuant to Greyhounds Australasia Rule 101(3)(a).

Race 1 - SKY RACING MAIDEN 407m

 

2 Legendary Spyro – Checked around the first turn.

 

6 Sober Meredith – Checked off the heels entering the second turn. A veterinary examination revealed an offside hind leg muscle strain and stood down for 10 days.

 

 

Race 2 - TAB NOVICE 407m

 

2 Mini Star – Checked and fell exiting the turn onto the back straight. regained footing and completed the race. A veterinary examination revealed a lumbar muscle strain and stood down for 10 days.

 

5 Silky Ripple – Checked, dragged down and hampered by fallen runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed offside hind leg abrasion, but no stand down was imposed.

 

6 Little Spyro – Slow to begin.

 

8 Tokin Beach – Slow to begin.

 

 

Race 3 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND GRADE 5 (1) 407m

 

3 Italian Steal – Forced wider in the back straight.

 

4 Shian Ned – Checked across the heels of another runner and shifted wider in the back straight.

 

7 Akimbo – Checked on the heels in the back straight.

 

8 Yuri Magic – Forced wider in the back straight.

 

 

Race 4 - WENDY MULRY TRAVEL 0-4 WINS 510m   

 

·       Following review of the race replay,  Stewards declared this event a “No Race” in accordance with GAR 110(1). 7 She's So Cosmic – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and revealed an offside hip muscle strain and stood down for 10 days

 

 

Race 5 - NEWSXPRESS RICHARDSON ROAD GRADE 4 (1) 407m

 

2 Heslea – Dragged down and disadvantaged shortly after the start. A veterinary examination revealed offside hind leg laceration and a back muscle strain and stood down for 10 days

 

3 Be Like Oliver – Slow to begin. Checked and fell heavily shortly after the start. before regaining footing and finishing the race. A veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

 

8 Mr O'sullivanSlow to begin. Tightened for racing room and checked around the first turn. Checked in the back straight. Slowed and deviated its attention towards a runner on the inside in the front straight but did not make muzzle contact. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Michael Boody regarding the greyhound’s racing manners and acting under the provisions of GAR 124(1) failing to pursue the lure with due commitment first offence. Mr Boody pleaded guilty to the breach and was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Rockhampton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

 

 

 

Race 6 - DIPLOCK'S COLLISION REPAIR CENTRE GRADE 4 (2) 407m

 

6 Amber Days – Slow to begin.

 

9 Dad's News (7) – Slow to begin. Hampered in the back straight.

 

 

Race 7 - ROCKY FEED & SEED BEST 8 407m

 

2 Danish Cake – Checked around the first turn. Bumped in the front straight.

 

4 First Black Jack – Checked around the first turn. Lost ground around the second turn. Shifted very wide in the front straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a nearside hind thigh muscle strain and stood down for 10 days.

 

8 White Like Snow – Slow to begin. Bumped in the front straight.

 

 

Race 8 - DINKY DI WEB DESIGN ANNIVERSARY CUP FINAL MIXED 4/5 510m

 

2 Trendy Touchdown – Slow to begin.

 

4 Black Delight – Checked immediately after the start.

 

5 Sir Banjo – Checked immediately after the start. Checked nearing the first turn.

 

7 Bank Heist – Checked nearing the first turn. Forced wider around the first turn.

 

8 White Whale – Checked around the first turn.

 

 

Race 9 - WENDY MULRY TRAVEL GRADE 5 (2) 407m

 

1 Glorious Purpose – Tightened for racing room and bumped exiting the turn onto the front straight.

 

2 Jayhawks – Slow to begin.

 

7 Atomic Warren – Tightened for racing room and bumped exiting the turn onto the front straight.

 

8 Kahuna Beach – Lost footing and disadvantaged exiting the turn onto the back straight.

 

 

Race 10 - SKY RACING GRADE 5 (3) 407m

 

1 Tarawi Opal -  Tightened for racing room in the front straight.

 

2 County Mist – Checked shortly after the start.

 

3 Zipping Mork – Checked shortly after the start.

 

4 Hit List – Tightened for racing room in the front straight.

 

5 Sketchy Deliver – Slow to begin.

 

 

Race 11 - TAB GRADE 5 (4) 407m

 

1 Blue Zeal – Bumped in the front straight.

 

2 Garnacho – Tightened for racing room exiting the turn onto the front straight.

 

5 Last Date – Slow to begin. Disadvantaged around the first turn. Bumped in the front straight.

 

6 Zipping Fern – Checked off the heels of another runner entering the second turn.

 

 

Race 12 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND MA5 407m

 

1 Dr. Kammi – Deviated attention from the lure exiting the turn onto the front straight. Continued to deviate its attention from the lure and bumped a runner on the outside in the front straight but did not make muzzle contact. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Clinton Thompson regarding the greyhound’s racing manners and acting under the provisions of GAR 124(1) failing to pursue the lure with due commitment first offence. Mr Thompson pleaded guilty to the breach and was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Rockhampton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

 

 

3 Misunderstood – Slow to begin.

 

4 Camino Angel – Disadvantaged exiting the turn onto the back straight.

 

5 Redeemer's Kid – Slow to begin. Disadvantaged in the back straight.
