Race 10 PHOTO BOOTH Injured in running, front and hind legs, 10 days
Race 10 WILDASH WILDFIRE Injured in running, off side hip, 10 days
WHERE’S BLOCKER was slow to begin. SNEAKIN’ ROUND and DEMORIC FIT were tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start. IMPOSING SIND was tightened for racing room between DEMORIC FIT and MAGIC BEAU in the front straight resulting in IMPOSING SIND losing ground.
MR. HOPPINS was the best to begin. GUMLOW STAR and LOVELY BANKS bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in some inconvenience to both greyhounds. TOP END TORQUE checked across the heels of KIDATEE CROC on the turn into the back straight. TOP END TORQUE checked off BLACK DENIM and lost considerable ground on the turn out of the back straight. BUCKLED also suffered interference from the incident.
Race 3 – Townsville Cup
Heat 2 498m
Even start with ASA EXTREME slow to begin. IGNORE THE NOISE checked off MINGELA COSMO and lost ground on the turn into the back straight. MINGELA COSMO raced wide in the home straight.
Race 4 – Townsville Cup
Heat 3 498m
Even start with ELUSIVE DIVA slow to begin. POISED TO POUNCE checked off DEBORAH ROSE on the turn into the back straight and became unbalanced shifting out bumping BELIMBA HUSTLER causing some interference to SLASHIN’ PETE. POISED TO POUNCE checked off BELIMBA HUSTLER prior to entering the back straight.
Race 5 – Townsville Cup
Heat 4 498m
LOW TALKER was the best to begin. LONESOME MAX was slow to begin. LOW TALKER shifted in approaching the turn into the back straight tightening LISTEN in on to GREYSTOKE BOY causing both greyhounds to become unbalanced and lose ground. LOW TALKER continued to shift in causing interference to POST BOX who become unbalanced and lost ground causing interference to GREYSTOKE BOY. BLUE HOUDINI raced wide into the home straight.
Race 6 – Townsville Cup
Heat 5 498m
Even start with TOBIAS RUMBLE and LAID BACK LAD slow to begin. SLEEPY MIME shifted in on the turn into the back straight resulting in SCORPIO JAY and TEE BRADY being checked and losing ground. TEE BRADY and MPINGO bumped entering the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground. LAID BACK LAD and MPINGO raced wide in the home straight.
Race 7 – Townsville Cup Heat 6 498m
BEACH FRONT shifted in shortly after the start bumping HOPPING HOUDINI in on to BIG BAD TOM on to VELOCITY KYZON resulting in the four greyhounds losing ground. ARE ATE checked off COAL CHEETAH and lost ground on the turn into the back straight. HOPPING HOUDINI and BEACH FRONT bumped in the front straight. HOPPING HOUDINI finished the race with the muzzle entangled in its mouth.
Race 8 – NQ Sprint Heat 1 380m
Trainer R. Lound was fined the sum of $50 under the provisions of GAR 86(o) negligent for presenting RAILROAD ROCKET to race with the incorrect rug.
GUNNADOO SECRET was the best to begin. ALL BUT CENTRE was marginally slow to begin. ZAMBEZI ROCK and MAKE THE SWITCH bumped shortly after the start. HENRY JUDGE checked off RIALROAD ROCKET and lost ground shortly after the start. SHE’S SO CLASSY checked off PATJACK LOMAR and lost ground prior to turning out of the back straight. GUNNADOO SECRET raced wide in the home straight.
Race 9 – NQ Sprint Heat 2 380m
Even start. MOO MOO and SUPERMAC bumped shortly after the start. GUNNADOO RACER checked off MOO MOO and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight. KNOCK HER DOWN checked off LIBERTY LEGS and lost ground after turning out of the back straight. SUPERMAC and GUNNADOO RACER bumped on the turn into the front straight causing interference to LIBERTY LEGS.
Race 10 – NQ Sprint Heat 3 380m
PHOTO BOOTH was the best to begin. NONE OF THEM and FROM THE TAP bumped approaching the turn out of the back straight causing NOME OF THEM to lose ground resulting in PHOTO BOOTH checking off its heels and becoming unbalanced and shifting out bumping heavily with WILDASH WILDFIRE causing PHOTO BOOTH and WILDASH WILDFIRE to fall. PHOTO BOOTH and WILDASH WILDFIRE were inspected by the veterinarian after the race. MIDNIGHT EDITION also suffered interference as a result of the incident.
