GENERAL

Race 1 – Maiden Final 380m

COOL REALITY was the best to begin. KICKA TIN, TONI’S QUITE and OCTAVIAN bumped shortly after the start resulting in TONI’S QUITE losing ground. KICKA TIN checked off VOLOCITY ONO and fell prior to entering the turn into the front straight resulting in interference to CRUSHED ICE. KICKA TIN was inspected by the veterinarian after the race.

Race 2 – Novice 380m

Even start. HI HOMBRE and ZINGALONG SHEEDS bumped shortly after the start resulting in both greyhounds losing ground. FREDRIK checked off TOP END TORQUE and lost ground in the back straight. SOMETHING BAD checked off TOP END TORQUE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to FREDRIK and HI HOMBRE. MAYWYN OODLES checked across the heels of TOP END TORQUE on the turn into the front straight.

Race 3 – 3/4^th Grade 380m

Even start with GUMLOW STAR and ZIPPING CARLTON slow to begin. SNAKE PROOF and SUPERMAC bumped shortly after the start resulting in SNAKE PROOF losing ground. ZIPPING CARLTON checked off the heels of SNAKE PROOF and lost ground entering the front straight.

Race 4 – 4/5^th Grade 498m

PATJACK LOMAR was the best to begin. LITTLE TRISH, HOPPING HOUDINI, BEACH FRONT and ELUSIVE DIVA raced very tight to the turn into the back straight resulting in ELUSIVE DIVA, BEACH FRONT and HOPPING HOUDINI becoming unbalanced and losing ground. SCORPIO JAY checked off SCOTTISH CLAN and lost ground on the turn into the back straight. LITTLE TRISH raced wide in the back straight.

Race 5 – 4/5^th Grade Final 380m

The lure failed in the back straight coming to a complete halt. A ‘No Race’ was declared and the race abandoned.

Track staff was unable to repair the problem with the lure system to enable safe and reliable racing to continue. Subsequently Stewards had no option but to abandon races 6 to 10.
