The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

Race 1 – Maiden 380m

PETITE MAGIC was the best to begin.  MID WESTERN GIRL and KNOCKIN’ BLUE were slow to begin.  MID WESTERN GIRL and KNOCKIN’ BLUE bumped shortly after the start resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  GRAND ENTRANCE checked off PETITE MAGIC approaching the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground with PETITE MAGIC almost falling causing interference to BLOCKER MAGIC, MID WESTERN GIRL and KNOCKIN’ BLUE,

COMMANCHE and RHONDA’S DYNO bumped heavily on the turn out of the back straight resulting in COMMANCHE becoming unbalanced and shifting out to race wide forcing RHONDA’S DYNO wide causing that greyhound to lose ground.  RHONDA’S DYNO checked across the heels of MID WESTERN GIRL in the front straight.

 

Race 2 – Maiden 380m

CRUSHED ICE was the best to begin.  RAVIN’ MAGIC was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.  IN THE DOCK and VELOCITY HEZZA were tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  MY ACHIEVER checked off the heels of CRUSHED ICE in the back straight causing interference to DAY DRINKING.

 

Race 3 – Novice 380m

Even start with TREADSTONE CAIN slow to begin.  VELOCITY AIM checked off SOMETHING BAD and lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to TREADSTONE CAIN.  ZIPPING BUBBA improved on to the heels of MIDNIGHT EDITION on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to SOMETHING BAD.  Stewards questioned the racing manners of SOMETHING BAD in the front straight.  After viewing the film and speaking to trainer G. Olsen SOMETHING BAD was stood down from racing for three months and the completion of a satisfactory trail under the provisions of GAR 69.1 for marring (second offence).

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade 380m

PRINCE OF DOOM was the best to begin.  AMY’S ELITE was slow into stride as the start was effected.  HASEGAWA and BRIGHT REVEL were tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade 498m

Even start with LONESOME MAX slow to begin.  TONI’S QUITE checked off GREYSTOKE BOY and lost ground on the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to VELOCITY KYZON.  LONESOME MAX shifted out entering the front straight bumping heavily with BUCKAROO SUE causing that greyhound to become unbalanced and lose ground.

 

Race 6 – 4/5th Grade 498m

Even start with SCORPIO JAY and LIBERTY LEGS marginally slow to begin.  ZIPPING CARLTON, TOP END TORQUE, DEBORAH ROSE and LISTEN all bumped heavily shortly after the start resulting in all four greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  Shortly after ZIPPING CARLTON checked off the heels of SCORPIO JAY causing interference to TOP END TORQUE.  SCORPIO JAY checked off the heels of DEBORAH ROSE and lost ground entering the back straight.  TOP END TORQUE raced wide into the home straight.

 

Race 7 – 4th Grade 380m

Even start with BLUE HOUDINI slow to begin.  WIND TRACKER checked off SNEAKIN’ ROUND and became unbalanced shifting out causing interference to MISS GRAND THEFT and GUNNADOO RACER on the turn out of the back straight.  WIND TRACJER shifted out on the turn into the front straight bumping GUNNADOO RACER and forcing that greyhound to race wide.

 

Race 8 – Best 8 380m

Even start with EUNICE LILLIAN and ALL BUT CENTRE slow to begin.  COOL SPRITE was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.  EUNICE LILLIAN and ALL BUT CENTRE bumped on several occasions in the back straight.  DIVVY UP was tightened for racing room and lost considerable ground on the turn out of the back straight.  EUNICE LILLIAN checked off the heels of DIVVY UP and lost considerable ground after turning out of the back straight.  COOL SPRITE suffered interference as a result.

 

Race 9 – 4/5th Grade 380m

ON DECK was the best to begin.  SCARLETT’S DEVIL and SLEEPY MIME bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in SLEEPY MIME losing ground causing interference to SUPERMAC.  RAZOR ROSE raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 380m

BLACK DENIM, COOL REALITY and ELITE ROBBO were slow to begin.  KEWIN UP was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  BOLD DEBREE checked off ELITE ROBBO and lost ground back on to THANK YOU POP causing interference to COOL REALITY and KEWIN UP.  COOL REALITY knuckled over entering the front straight.  A veterinary inspection of the greyhound revealed a fractured hock.
