6 Month Trial – 380m

The greyhound ATLANTIC HAWK performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 380m in a time of 22.68 seconds and is now cleared to nominate at all tracks.

The greyhound ACID BOMB which failed a stewards trial over the distance of 380 metres was vetted post-trial and found to have sustained an abdominal muscle injury in running and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

ANGLISS MEATS TOWNSVILLE MAIDEN 380M

STREAKS OF GOLD and SCOTTIE’S GIRL both began well.  FAWN DRAGON, VELOCITY HEZZA and SPRING PUZZLE were all inconvenienced when tightened for running soon after the start.  VELOCITY HEZZA and WILDASH FRED came together on straightening. Both greyhounds were unbalanced.

WEISE FAMILY RACING MAIDEN FINAL 380M

MONKEY’S UNCLE and BAILINATOR both began well.  CRACKLIN’ ROSIE lost ground when tightened between runners on jumping.  Soon after the start FARMOR TO DO lost ground when tightened between runners.  BAILINATOR and GUNNADOO COBRA came together on straightening. GUNNADOO COBRA became unbalanced.

F.V. ARUNTA NOVICE 380M

VELOCITY AIM was best to begin.  ABRAHAM KEEPING dwelt at the start.  MISTIFIDE was slowly away after beginning awkwardly.  Soon after the start RUBY’S MAGIC lost ground when tightened for running between ABRAHAM KEEPING and HOLIER THAN THOU which was shifting in.  Approaching the top turn ABRAHAM KEEPING shifted out across the running of HOLIER THAN THOU which was inconvenienced.  ABRAHAM KEEPING was wide at the home turn.

NEWTON ELECTRIX 0 – 3 WINS 498M

SPRING CLOVER and RAVIN’ MAGIC were both tightened for running soon after the start.  RAVIN’ MAGIC lost significant ground.  BON ECHO was wide entering the back straight.  Approaching the top turn RHONDA’S DYNO lost ground when tightened for running between TINK ALLEN and BON ECHO which was shifting in.

RUBIE OLSEN 4/5th GRADE 380M

COSMIC PAULY was best to begin.  VELOCITY KYZON dwelt at the start.  Approaching the top turn MAYWYN’S ACE shifted in onto the running of WIND TRACKER both greyhounds were severely checked and lost significant ground. COSMIC PAULY was wide at the top turn.  COSMIC PAULY and WIND TRACKER were both wide at the home turn.

STEPHEN SCHUBERT 4th GRADE 380M

ROCKET’S MAGIC and ALL BUT CENTRE were both slowly away.  Soon after the start ALL BUT CENTRE when in clear running lost significant momentum and took no further competitive part in the event.  LISTEN and LIBERTY LEGS came together approaching the home turn.  LISTEN became unbalanced. RAZOR ROSE was wide for the majority of the event.

 

The greyhound ALL BUT CENTRE was vetted post race and was found to have sustained an off hind muscle injury in running and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

MIGGINS RACING 2/3rd GRADE 380M

FLOW BLACK and PHOTO BOOTH were both inconvenienced when tightened between runners soon after jumping.  Through the back straight GUNNADOO SECRET was checked when tightened for running between FOCUS AND SPEED and EUNICE LILLIAN which was shifting in.  Approaching the top turn FOCUS AND SPEED shifted out checking the running of EUNICE LILLIAN.  PHOTO BOOTH which was following was also inconvenienced.  Through the top turn FOCUS AND SPEED shifted out across the running of PHOTO BOOTH which lost ground.  FOCUS AND SPEED and GUNNADOO SECRET came together heavily on straightening. Both greyhounds were unbalanced.

PEARL OLSEN 5th GRADE FINAL 498M

The greyhound THANK YOU POP was a late withdrawal by Order Of Stewards after escaping from its handler immediately prior to the field being called up to the boxes and then galloping approximately 120m before being recaptured near the 380 metre boxes.  When questioned by Stewards Licensed Handler Mr. K Blanchard explained that greyhound had escaped due to the buckle on the collar failing.  After examining the collar in question and finding it to be in good overall condition Stewards accepted Mr Blanchard’s explanation and took no further action.

 

Soon after the start DEBORAH ROSE and MAYWYN WEALTH were both severely checked when tightened for running between TREADSTONE CAIN and SPUDNUT which was shifting in.  Entering the back straight MAYWYN WEALTH shifted in checking the running of DEBORAH ROSE.  MAYWYN WEALTH and ASA TOP AGENT came together in the back straight. ASA TOP AGENT was inconvenienced.  GUNNADOO DELTA was wide in the back straight.

9.

CBD ELECTRICAL 5th GRADE 380M

LITE BEAM was slowly away.  Soon after the start NANIERNA when racing tight against the running rail lost significant momentum and took no further competitive part in the event.  Approaching the top turn I’M ALICE shifted in checking the running of VERY SPRITELY.  AMY’S ELITE and SLEEPY MIME were both wide at the home turn.

 

The greyhound NANIERNA was vetted post race and was found to have sustained an offside hip muscle injury in running and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

10.

MERV PARKER 5th GRADE 380M

The greyhound WILDASH DUKE was withdrawn at kennelling after it was found to be sore in the offside hip.

 

JACOBITE PHANTOM began well. WORLD’S GREATEST and MAYWYN MOOLA were both slowly into stride. Approaching the top turn BRILLIANT EMMA and WORLD’S GREATEST came together. Both greyhounds were inconvenienced. VELOCITY ONO which was racing to the outside of those 2 greyhounds was also hampered. Through the top turn MAYWYN MOOLA was checked off the heels of HEXENBEAST. JACOBITE PHANTOM and MAYWYN MOOLA were both wide at the home turn.
